    Also, check the flame appearance of your heater regularly, a blue flame means all is well, but a blue flame with a slight yellow tip or a completely yellow flame, perhaps smoky, that is emitting soot which stains the radiant plaques or synthetic coal / log pieces of a living flame mobile gas heater like Manhattan Provence and Thurcroft, means that the inside of the pilot light fresh air intake venturi (a small orifice at the back of the pilot burner tube or the gauzed air intake on the burner pipe inside a Manhattan or Provence) is clogged with dirt and dust.
    This means a service is required, contact a Gas Safe LPG trained engineer or LPG dealer / service facility to assist, once the pilot light fresh air intake venturi or air intake on a Provence or Manhattan heater is cleared of dust and dirt, the heater pilot will burn cleanly.
