Would it have been worth it to use ring anyway to Tech negotiation and early reveal for Liet Kynes? That way you get memo as well. Your second turn is not very good anyway (no good combat and no faction access). EDIT: Think this was indeed best result. Baron just out-intrigued you. Two faction bumps getting him two alliances, plans, finesse. Just unplayable.
The chances someone goes tech negotiations before your second agent is very low. You could have easily gotten memo and kynes. But you value kynes that much?
Maybe. But the downside if someone did go tech nego is really really high. Whereas the upside of memoquarters by itself isn't great. The negotiator will come in useful eventually
I actually tried this exact scenario today, as Baron. I went first action smuggling, and someone went Tech Neg to take Liet Kines before my 2nd action. They won the game. It’s a difficult choice and I’m still not sure what the correct one is
@@Erdann ah that makes sense thanks. Yeah, complaining about a 1 in 8 chance that you chose to take seems silly. Not worth taking a game ending risk that early
I mean, if someone isnt enjoying themselves, they take the associated penalty and end their misery. This I can understand. Yeh. what erdann says is correct, they had 8 cards, and they didn't want to see one of the cards. But thats what happens when you draw late

Hmmm. I don't value memoquarters that highly. I value spacing friendship highly. Hence the sequencing
But memocorders brings you closer to your goal of spacing friendship?

@evskimojo early reveal? Sometimes not much you can do about it. If you blocked tech nego could they have done it
@@cheesable ah nope, they just got lucky as no-one else early revealed and I couldn’t get to 5 persuasion after tech neg was taken
@@evskimojo haha. yeh. just weigh what is more likely to screw with your game. dont need full optimization
Seems rude for that Sayadina player to leave the game, especially that early? What did they mean by 1/8?
Probably 8 cards in their deck and they drew Sayyadina so 1/8 chance to draw it

The iconic music you used in some of your earlier videos is really nice. Very chill to listen to. Bring it back if you can :))
As a backing track?
@@cheesable maybe I dunno. Or do some more of the videos with just the music and light commentary.
