    There’s not much thats 100Nm apart in the universe… in the sense everything in the universe is 10 orders closer together.
    So when large strong flat dense plates are 100Nm apart….. it’s the connection between between two scales of the structure of the universe.
    Just a brainstorm thought.😘😘😘

    I started to ask this question!!! I’m asking two (2) questions:
    1, is there a practical use?
    2, is there a “sci-fi” use? Or is there a speculative science or engineering use?

      I can imagine that you are the guy who asked Townes in 1951,- what possible use for a laser ? You are living and using these advanced technologies, and you do not have a clue as to how it all was conceived and built.

      I am not sure if it is yet used. The sticking of MEMS is for sure a problem which needs to be tackled, especially because the scale things are built right now is pretty close to it. I think it has some importance, for example in motion detection sensors (which by the way are now in every phone). So funny enough you probably carry something around all day which was build under the consideration of this effect.
      I won't call this an application because the casimir effect is more a issue then benefit but probably some day there will be novel applications using the casimir effect for good and not for bad.
      2) No, i cannot immagine one. Also no speculative use in science as far as i know (you might stumble upon some crazy people claiming to get energy out of the vacuum using the casimir effect, but these are all liars and not scientists!!!!)

      @@philler8151 You are missing the point. Technologies do not appear out of thin air. There is a process to find a way to understand (as in here), and then ultimately develop. This guy was asking if their was a practical use. At this point, there is no way to know. He should have known better.

      Well Casimir effect could generate negative energy.Little cells of such negative energy could constitute a negative energy battery.Which then could be used to make a warp drive.

    The affect is caused by gravity pressing sideways.

    Could the effect of attracting plates that are 100Nm apart explain gravity and the way the Universes’ work?

    Why do they have to be metal plates? What about other materials.🤷🏽‍♂️

      Metal plates allows more electromagnetic effects. The effect can be seen with any materials at close distances.

    So. Ball bearings suspended in a non Newtonian fluid which amplifies the repulsion effect once compressed?

    Reduce distance to the gap between a few quarks- strong nuclear force. ALL is gravity!.

    has a experiment been done that yield photons from the moving plates? Casimir light faster then speed of light?

    • @philler8151
      @philler8151 Рік тому

      I think I remember one that did extract photons from moving planes.
      But be aware this does not generate any surplus of Energy because you need to move the Plates (i.e. put energy in) to get a photon (which has almost no energy).
      No light is per definition travelling with the speed of light. Other velocities are not possible (except in materials but there you need to distinguish phase velocity and group velocity, which if you do it correctly no information travels quicker than light).

    I have a question about : perfect vacuum,...there are many vacuums, this is the point. The vacuum here( inside atmosphere) is not perfect vacuum, because there is " gravity " inside the box( here), there is magnetic field), so I would not call it : perfect vacuum). The vacuum outside of solar system is different vacuum . Did you try this experiment there?!
    You can tryAnother experiment with Casimir effect through two magnets( magnetic plates) in( another) vacuum (vacuum out of the solar system )

    • @philler8151
      @philler8151 Рік тому

      And how would you get to that point?
      Vacuum is vacuum. There are no different kinds of vaccum, its just a matter how close you are to a ideal vacuum. It doesn't really matter if you don't have the ideal vacuum since the undelying theory doesn't change. Vacuum fluctruations are a result of QFT and therefore well established.

    • @radinelaj3932

      @@philler8151 what is qft ? Ideal vacuum is not reached yet . no,are not fixed yet.

    • @philler8151
      @philler8151 Рік тому

      QFT is quantum field theory. In that theory (which is the base for the standard model of physics) the vacuum is not 'empty' but full with particle antiparticle pairs which exist very short times. I think when we reach a vacuum, as empty as space, on earth then we can say we have real vacuum

    How can I know if it not from gravity?

    • @philler8151
      @philler8151 Рік тому

      Because its a microscopic effect on very small scales, micro to nanometers, and the gravitational force is too small to have any measurable effect on that scale

    • @andrewbodor4891

      It is gravity, pushing from the sides. Gravity is a pushing force of dense aether against matter. Matter and the aether repel each other and the quantum fields of the aether become very dense because of this, much like snow plowed snow next to the plow. The dense aether pushes in all directions, including sideways.

    If you could somehow restrict the amount of light frequencies on one side of a plate you could create some kind of turbine?? How about maybe allowing only polarized light to exist on one side of a plate?? You could have a turbine??? My uninformed opinion!!!!!
