I've found that RD/Showcockpit is a lot faster (although not as completely flexible) to configure than Bome. Because it uses the web remote protocol, you can do things like mapping midi encoders directly to the 4 built-in MA2 encoders, and easily use it remotely on a network (presumably to a physical console too). Also has built-in functionality to poll executor state and update button indicator feedback on many midi controllers.
Does anyone know why when I select the Bome in Ma2 the lights go crazy? I've spent some time on forums researching this and no one knows how to explain it to me :c
Hi Jonas, Real quick. Is there a directory/List of Midi controllers that natively communicate with MA2 vs. Controllers that need additional mapping software?
hello, i have a APC40MKII and it works but only with certain buttons. wont work with any faders.. it says : MIDI DECODER NEW COMMAND: Control change any idea why ?
Nice video, Does anyone know if its also possible to connect the GrandMA Buttons beneath the faders with the midi input? I tried every settings but didn't get it worked😢
Hello, thanks for the video! I've bought a midi controller at friday, so this video is very useful for me:-) What I found out, meanwhile you are learning only, you can use the midi translator classic, which is free to use for non-commercial purposes. You have to wait like 20 second when you start the app, but after it just works. Or you can send them a postcard for a free non-commercial licence:-)
Hello I have a question I have al the same setting as you do. But my value is bouncing around. I am using a bcf 2000 midi controller. Do you know what is wrong? Please help
Very understandable, Jonas ! Thank You ! You didn`t mention, how you connected the controller. If I use a command wing, would I use the MIDI in and OUTS ? Would MA for PC instantly recognize the controller ?
To clarify: does onPC completely ignore controller events or treat them as something else? Is it possible to use those controllers in another app (e.g. to start a song) or does onPC take exclusive control of your MIDI device?
hi, nice idea, i had try it. when I have a midi input signal I see only a "router out" and not a "midi out", do you know why? I am working with a midicon elation
I figured out your issue! I had the same one. Go to the "project default MIDI ports" section of bome. In "midi input" section select ONLY the midi contoller you are trying to use. Sometimes it selects other things automatically. Then in the "midi output section, deselect "bome virtual port 1 -> bome midi translator 1 virtual out" and select only "bome midi translator midi out." it should work after that.
Thank you for making this video, helped me so much! I'm having an issue though, I mapped an apc40mk2 and my fader, buttons and action buttons are all working but if I change anything to a toggle instead of flash, go, etc, it doesnt work. Any ideas?
Hey Tal, might have something todo with the note off midi notes - try holding down the button on the APC a little longer before letting go, to see if that’s the problem.
@@aGuyNamedJonas Hey Jonas im currently facing the same issue. I use a novation launchpad xl as my MIDI device. So when I assign a button on my midi as a executor button as a Flash Executor it still doesnt work. The Flash Executor stays on until i turn it off from my Off Page. PLEASE HELP !!!!

Hi guys. I am using bomes translator classic and loopBe1 and I have noticed that if I move the mapped fader too fast loopBe1 goes into mute and stops working because it gets confused and thinks that there is a midi loop feedback. Do you guys experience the same or if you do, is there a remedy for this. thanks
Hey Desimir, try to make sure you only send from bome’s to MA2 using loopbe1 and be sure to check that Bome doesn’t use it as input as well and MA2 also doesn’t output to the same channel as well. You can also use multiple channels in loopbe1 - be sure that every channel you use has data only flowing in one direction if you know what I mean.
Hey there, I’m not sure that’s supported even though now that I think about it, there was a suggestion about that in the comment section some time ago. I’ll double check that and add it to my video list if I find it - thanks! 🙏🏻
Depends on your midi controller, you can just use the “learn midi” function like I showed in the video, to find out what kind of messages are coming in.
Thanks for a reply :) - now i have an other question about the Martin Quantum Wash Extended mode with 33 channels... cant change any of the colors? How to fix that?? Thank you in advance! Great videos!!!

Oh yeah I’ve used that one before, must have evolved since then! You know what? I’ll cover that one in a second video, thank you very much :)
I was thinking about that. Showcockpit is the latest, as far as I know. Alex Hudge was explaining it. Maybe it`s the easiest to use for now.

Yeah you’re right - even though I didn’t know about the postcard option :) I like the Pro version better tbh :)
Hardkeys could be used to automatically change pages on multiple control/faders page on consoles
Thanks for both gm2 and mbome tutorial. Is it possible to export/import midi profiles inside gm2?

Midi controllers that support USB, actually internally transmit Midi through the USB connection. So you can just use that!
what i need to do if i want to use the pitch bend or volume fader or effect wheel on my Keyboard, is there a way to use them or is it impossible ?

It takes exclusive control
What can be meant under the message from Ma "remote could not find remote 127"?
