Each members sound is essential to final product. In 99.9 % bands/Lol😂 great videos cowboydrummer❤🎉
I agree. I don’t think you can have “mediocre” guitarists and bassists and still have a REAL good band. But that being said, I agree with the other part of his thesis. Drums and vocals usually stick out the most in a live concert mix over the sub frequency rumbling, so if those two are amazing, then the audience will hear it first.
For a band with original songs it’s nice to have a really good/creative guitarist or keyboard with a great sound as well, though
Even If they are naturally a bad singer just apply those smoke and mirrors 🤷🏽♂️ no excuse these days for a bad singer

Sorry, but that whole statement about non-musicians is too single sided.
I don't buy what you do but WHY you do it. If the singer is out of tune here and there - happens! Drummer misses a beat? Happens! It really depends. How can a band become a great band if it didn't suck a little at first? As long as everybody, including the crowd, is having fun, everything is fine.
