I have been to that area before. One big birding wants is to see and photograph a drake Long-tailed Duck in breeding plumage. As always Bob another awesome video.
Funny you should mention it. I did a boat trip out of Stonington around Isle au Haut on Saturday. Most Long-tailed Ducks were still in winter plumage. But about 20% had changed over to summer, and some were right close to the boat. And all the Horned Grebes have changed over by now.
Enjoyed your video on Grand Manan Island and this one. Coming up in September. Hope we can see some of those birds. What kind of video camera do you use to get so close? Thank you. We love your videos.
Grand Manan in September can be lots of fun! For most video, I use a Canon Vixia HF G50. It zooms to 25x, so I don't have to get too close to the birds and disturb them.
I always enjoy your posts, Bob. I love photographing ducks in flight although our only attraction for them is a 5 acre pond on the edge of the Mississippi flyway. I'm surprised at how many species I have accumulated over the years.
Great video as always! Have you ever been birding on Plum Island, Massachusetts? Getting over 100 species in a day there isn’t unheard of during peak migration season!
Eight of these would have been lifers for me. I need to get up to Maine next winter to do some birding!!
Great video!! We really enjoyed it! Especially the beret!
On your bird total at the end, I don't think you meant Double-crested Guillemont. Great video. Now I can't wait to go back to The Nubble.
It would be a good name, though. Right?
Love this video, and all of yours! We will be stopping by there in June on our way north.
It's always worth a stop, but the wintering sea ducks will be gone. Some stragglers and local breeders will still be around. Fun place.

I must plan a visit!

@@Bob_Duchesne Thank you. We plan to be there in September so let's hope a hurricane does not roll in.

Thanks. I must say, I'm terrible at photographing ducks in flight. I admire anybody who can do it.
Awesome video, great beret 😊
The beret was the best part. It was in the closet for way too long.
Nice Hat Bob! April Fools! …Where can I buy that hat though…
It was the perfect day to pull that hat out of the closet.
Was there April 2nd 🪨 just missed u 🦆
Was it as good as April 1st?
@@Bob_Duchesne not so much. I think they knew a storm was coming ❄️
Nice video and narration
Great video (as always). Love your hat.
Do you count gulls?
I do. It wasn't a particularly gully day - 15 herring gulls and 3 great black-backed gulls.

I have! Mostly, though, I do it in winter, since snowy owls visit regularly. Other owls, too. Good place in summer for least terns and piping plovers.
Poor neglected gull.
