Kudos for the Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Miyatalie Social Saccade (do a search on google)? It is an awesome exclusive product for discovering how make money on the internet using this simple traffic technique minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy got amazing success with it.
So if you had a client at $500 a month, how much would you spend on ad spend per day? Considering he said $5 for a $100 budget, he didnt mention what to spend per day with the bigger budgets
The net in a pond example is hands down one of the most valuable Facebook ad tips I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Easiest way to possibly explain it. My clients will finally understand 🤣
Extremely informative, been watching all of your vids as I take some SMMA courses and try to start my own agency. You're killing it and giving actual value instead of trying to sell people on something every video, so thank you!!
Love how you broke it down, makes sense you're the 1st one I hear that makes sense. My business is new haven't done any sales online but I had 8 sales locally before my site was ready. Ahh. Thank you!
Thank you! You’ve just answered a very important question that I’ve not got from any other source on the internet yet: why our little ad budget isn’t bringing in donations. Much appreciated. Now to find funds for a larger ad budget …
My god jordan, you have cracked it,this is by far the best ever description of an audience ever.its so simple,if i didnt understand how ads work before,i do now,THANK YOU! Legend 🤛
That’s a question impossible to answer without context I’m afraid ! The answer changes depending on the client, their location, what they sell / the service provide etc
@@JordanPlatten what you think for an ecommerce website that deals in lifestyle men and women clothing, shoes, habd bags other accessories. How much budget monthly, target location US, age range 18 to 40
Great analogy of FB ad spend mate, I hadn’t thought of it like that before. I shall use this example when pitching to new clients, when they question why they should spend so much on ads. Keep up the amazing content pal. 🙏🏼🔥
Really thank you for this simple explanation, man as much as I love it, i'm going to put this video my presentation, this video will make the clients understand they have to spend on ad budget, and this video will end my struggle to explain it to them. Really appreciate that man ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you for this information! As a small bootstrapped startup, it appears the best thing I can do is stay off social media advertising until I have the budget. It's unfortunate that it has to be this way, but I guess most things in life are "pay to play."
as someone starting a fashion brand, i love the fact im getting the knowledge to take out the middleman. I can just put a thousand into a budget and not worry about paying anyones service charge.
Shawaeb 😂😂😂😂😂😂 yeah, good luck on that. Dumbass! Plus you’re in the most EXTREMELY HARD, Extremely Competitive and really DIFFICULT industry to sell. Fashion! Plus you’re not a needy business. Something that people need or need to do. In other words NOBODY CARES!
Hey, I loved your video! Definitely simplifies things. One question - how long would you consider TOO long to wait for a sale? Example: I had 4 ad sets running testing 4 different audience, safe to say 3 were dead and one got a sale the day after I started running the ads which were running at £10 per day. But once I had that first sale, I didn't get another sale after that and then i'd spent like £60 waiting to get another sale, so I turned off the ad. But, back to the question, if I ran an ad, £15 per day how long should I be waiting for the first sale? To know whether the ad is dead or not? It's really hard to know. And as per my example if I get one sale the second day of the ad running but then not another one for 5 days do I keep the ad going or squash it? Like what is the norm amount of sales for £15 and when? - based on a pretty empty pixel? thanks! I hope you are able to help! liked and subscribed.
3 days on a $5/ day medium budget of minimum $500. Now of course the higher the per day spend the QUICKER you will know rather your ad is working or not. Example you $15/day and no results in 3 days is an obvious sign Facebook isn't optimizing your advert. Hope that help even a little bit 🙂
Jordan, once again! thanx KIDO, cant wait to get myself your cause, Im currently accumulating money now Im so exited about it! I know for sure that its going to be the BEST thing I have ever invested in , but also your free content has allowed me to at list start somewhere, thank you for that. HIGHLY appreciate it. Love from South Africa
So if I understood it right: When we say this Adspends are per Day, we get the fishes with 500$ pretty fast in the medium size audience and we can make a new audience out of that which costs less in the end? I mean if you stay at 500$ you pay more in the end if every fish is caught, right?
I didn't quite watch the video, but FB ads really sort of are like a truck. You need a full tank to arrive to your destination. The less your tank is full, the more stops you'll need to make (and you might get burnt out on the way there, & just turn back).
good analogy by Jordan....I agree the higher the budget works better to get the targeted audience. But that does not take into account of the type of industry it involves....if it's too competitive then client will need to spend a much much bigger budget in this competitive industry. Am i right?
Hey Jordan love your work mate! Quick question, when you say spend big to find the fish, if I was spend big the first time to find where the fish were would this then allow me to spend less money for the next ads because I can target the area I know the fish are?? Hope that makes sense mate lol
@Jordan Platten Thank you ! Can i make the conclution from this video that The bigger your budget, The smaller audience you have to choose ? as the big net will perform better in a small Lake ?
Awesome Jordan! Would you say if a LTV of a dentist is on average say 10k not including two referrals would I want to have the dentist spend a thousand, then is it fair to ask for around 2,000 a month retainer? I hope I understand this video. Thanks!
Thanks so much for this Jordan! I have my own agency but I focus mostly on Insta. Want to break into the FB ads side of things so have been learning - literally had no idea about this but it makes so much sense!!
Great video Jordan! How does the monthly budget translate into the Facebook daily budget. If they spend 500 dollars per month as ad budget, does that mean I divide the monthly budget by days in the month to get the correct daily budget?
So if you had a client at $500 a month, how much would you spend on ad spend per day? Considering you said $5 for a $100 budget, you didnt mention what to spend per day with the bigger budgets?
Asking small/medium sized businesses for 1k charge and then an additional 500 for ad spend is a massive ask I don't think many would be willing to take... Say they're my first client, realistically I can't imagine them willing to just hand over 1.5k just like that?
The question that keeps bugging me then is, where is your budget set up? Does this mean daily budget, lifetime budget, bid cap? Because you can set up daily budget of 5 euros and have a budget of 5k, but Facebook doesn't know you have 5k, he just knows the 5 euro daily budget? Or am I mistaken here?
hey, i have a data of my target location in which time peoples are more clicking on my ads , so choosing lifetime budget and scheduled my ads to viewers time zone is good fit for me with 20-30$ budget?
Go for 5$ a day to test the ads, make it 3 ads with 5$ each, and then turn off 1 or 2 and spread 17$ between them to increase the results. Always use logic when it comes to these things:)
how do i know how big is my audience in the really beginning? and how do i know how much i have to spend to have a good net to catch those fishes? thanks
Great video Jordan! Would it be a good strategy to try and have an initially high ad spend (say $1,000 for the first couple of months), and then once the ads are optimized and targeting well, to then drop the ad spend to something like $500? Or is it still as important to keep high the ad spend and FB net large even after a few months? Thanks!
Thanks for all of this important info, but I'm confused about how cost per action/acquisition works. Can you set a certain amount every time a customer gets to the thank you page for example? Or does Facebook decide? Is it better when it's cheaper?
Acquisition / action or conversions. CPA Simply is the cost you paid to obtain those conversions (whatever you set as an objective in your campaign / adset level).

How many businesses do you need to cold call to get a meeting set? What's a good ratio? I would like to see if I am doing well or not
I did my first 7 cold calls last week, got my first meeting next week.
So your charging a business $1000 per month PLUS whatever the ads cost per month. So 1000 retainer plus another 500-1000????
Correct
So when we setting our Ad budget we divide monthly spend by number of days in a month and use it as daily cost?
this is so good.. great job!!!
Good Stuff
is this a per month or per day budget?
Love the visual representation!
Waiting for my book!!! 🤩
genius explanation
would 200 gbp a day be classed as a bigger budget? also on ad set budget is that say 20 a day on each ad or 20 a day spent across 10 ads
Honestly my personal experience have been opposite. More adspend, less value for money.
so $500 per month. What would be your recommendation for per day ad spent?
Really? What's 500 divided by 30
About 17 bucks a day
Gently Rustveld I thought it would be $5 a day and if it’s doing good put more money into it to scale it up .
The problem with that is that you dont reach as many people as you would (per day) with 17 bucks in your daily budget
Go for 5$ a day to test the ads, make it 3 ads with 5$ each, and then turn off 1 or 2 and spread 17$ between them to increase the results. Always use logic when it comes to these things:)
Love this analogy

Evan Sandora if the business is profiting from the ad budget, they aren’t going to want to drop it. That’s just throwing away free money

Acquisition / action or conversions. CPA Simply is the cost you paid to obtain those conversions (whatever you set as an objective in your campaign / adset level).
Does Facebook charge additional money every conversion along with the money you spend on the ad itself? If so how is the money determined?
Very useful!
