These are legitimate struggles, that I hear no one talking about. We're not used to applying the introspection or how to utilize the lessons learned to make actual change in behavior and surroundings. This is like a break down of self sabotage actually is in a digestable and more understandable form and is helpful to me.

It's also very fucking hard to make those aforementioned changes. It's rewiring your thought patterns to stop falling pits. It's easier said than done, unfortunately, and a lot of the time also has to do with life balance. Too much free time, too much stress from work, too much junk food, too much healthy food, not enough water or sunlight.... anything can interdevelop your day in a mess, without even adding humans into equation.

I literally had to do this to a patient last month for the same exact reasons. Therapy isn’t just for talking about your issues, you also need to do the work and get to place of healing. If that isn’t happening, then the relationship has to end

I had a therapist "break up" with me because she said I had become stagnant in our sessions which she felt like was counterintuitive to the purpose of our sessions. I respected that because she was helpful at 1st but at that stage in my therapy, I needed a different approach.

I’m a therapist in training and I’m SCREAMING 😂😭 Also, recording in session is only illegal without prior consent-which means that if you walk in and you see a camera rolling without that consent being given, then you do have the right to take legal action. Graduates who are completing supervision to recieve their full credentials may end up asking you it’s alright to record! 🙂
