In this video you say that you tell the customer you’re going to fill every single crack but what if there’s a whole lot of alligator cracks throughout the parking lot? Do you charge differently for that? I live in eastern Washington where there is a lot of freeze thaw and a lot of alligator cracking on older parking lots. How do you go about this?
No I go over alligator areas like a shoes laces pattern. It's more to hold the piece s in place. to much rubber on an area could get stuck in tires and pull pieces out of their spot which causes a pothole
Measure a 100x100 area of the worst part of lot you can find and scale it up to the lot size ex. 1800 ln feet per 10000 ft² = 18000 linear on a 100000 ft² lot . Sell bigger jobs by the pallet. U just gave me an idea for video. Pricing crack filling. Stayed tuned give me 2 day
@@thesealerguys Hey one other video idea for us new guys. I saw the little short video you had about the guy “ brushing sealcoat all wrong” a lot of us are new and would assume it’s being done right. Could you do a video on proper technique with brush or squeegee? I know that’s temp sensitive right now ( lol tip I learned from you ). But again no idea what right or wrong looks like without someone explaining why something is right or wrong. I appreciate all the great info you put out! Thank you!
Thanks .could you tell me how long I can wait after I fill a crack to sealcoat.just a heads up In case a customer just wants to cracks filled in sealcoating later
I can attest to this. I mostly work for a company that only uses sub contractors. I am one of those contractors... while i do as g9od a job as i would expect done for me..... i am the exception. Maybe im the only one that knows better but i doubt it. Quality of work will definetly be incosistent at very least
Thanks

@@thesealerguys Very informative! Would you be able to show what that looks like in a photo or demonstrate how you do this in a future video?

When you are doing large crack filling jobs how do you keep track of linear ft? Any recommendations for calculating or measuring larger crack jobs ?

What's your opinion on starting a sealcoating company and initially working with subcontractors for sealcoating? I'm in NJ.
Never do it. No one's gonna have the same attention to detail that you will
