Homemade Scaffolding Tower - Part 3

In this third part of a five part series of videos I build the working platform of my homemade scaffolding tower. The platform is designed to be easy to move up and down to adjust the working height. In reality it's a little heavy to be moving very often but that didn't turn out to be a problem. At the end of the video I have a test climb up the scaffold with the platform set reasonably far up the scaffold.

Thanks buddy, good video. I have no idea what I am doing but I did read your disclaimer. I have been reading up on screws vs nails. Being load bearing, when constructing the platform base should you have used nails?

Screws are definitely more prone to snapping but it's one of those things the internet has blown out of all proportion. As long as you don't put a significant bending load on the screws they will be fine. The best way to reduce the bending load is to screw the pieces tightly together in many places as I did with the platform.
