Now would you attach a bonding strap to the frame so it’s electrically grounded? Most sending units work off ground. The mounting bolts probably provide some electrical connection even with the mounting insulation rubber, but it just seems that a good ground would prevent problems down the road. One could probably tap the negative wire for the electric fuel pump I suppose as everything ultimately grounds to the negative battery terminal. I guess another consideration would be to electrically isolate the the Al tank completely, even at all the connections to prevent current from flowing across dissimilar metals that causes the corrosion. Just some thoughts…
They are around 400 for non efi. And 700 for efi. I got the non efi and will be converting it to efi myself. We will find out if that was the right decision haha
Awesome stuff, looks great! Will be a nice truck when finished!
I hope so. Been wanting to restore one of these for a long time.
Everybody is having material and parts issues. Hate that but welcome to the pandemic. It's looking pretty good so far. Regards, Solomon
It’s frustrating but all we can do is wait! Hopefully things start picking up!

Never thought about it. But doing a ground strap would be a good idea! Thanks. It’s always good to here ideas from other people!
I know the directions probably say mount from the bottom why wouldn’t you put it inside the frame?
Not sure. And it’s been awhile since I installed it. But I wanna say because it makes it easier to remove the tank with out having to remove the bed.
hey man how big is you garage ? Awesome truck btw
It’s like 40-100. It’s the shop for our farm.
Have you set the bed on the frame? Did you need to clearance the support to clear the filler neck?
No I haven’t got that far yet.
How big are the hubs on that brake kit? Looking for a conversion kit that’ll fit the wheels I have already….
The brakes are all stock.
Great job! I'm starting with a similar project
how much did you pay for the frame Powder coating?
I actually hand painted the frame. After doing it I wish I would have powder coated.
What size is that filler neck 1.5 or 2 inches?
2 inch OD
Cost of fuel tank please

@Ginger Auto its the baffling is different with fuel injection and pick up points
Where did you mount the filler neck and door. Fender? Like a 78?
Haven’t got that far yet haha. Plan on doing it in the bed tho. Close to the driver side.
