Starting the process of swapping my automatic 5.0 truck with a 5 speed and a 300 i6. Just getting started, removing the pedal assemblies, next video the assemblies will be in place and it will be time to get started swapping the transmission, building the engine, and getting everything else wired up and hooked up. Hoping it's a plug and play experience! (But we all know how these projects go)

Interesting video, I’ve been looking into getting an old bricknose or obs, but many of the ones for sale in my area are automatic with high mileage and I’ve always heard “just buy a manual, there’s no sense in swapping the trans.” I’ve never even looked into a video of someone doing this before. Thank you for making this video. Do you know if it’s as simple to do this for a bricknose?

Im not 100% sure, but I did some quick searching and it looks pretty simple since the brick noses share a lot of the same parts as the OBS trucks. Looks like the pedal swap would be straight forward. Wiring wise im not sure, but could always go with a carburetor, which I may consider doing to get a little more power since power adders are limited for EFI 300s.
