Thank you! I’ve been wakeboarding for way too long, and reluctantly tried learning these over 15 years ago but quickly gave up. I’m stoked to commit this time and really appreciate how you broke it down.
Me too, I've been wakeboarding since I had 12, and now I have 34. April this year I've succeed 2 times the HS FS 360, and I've tried 6 times. Go for it bro
Honestly, this is the best explanation on how to do a hs 360 I’ve found 👏 Absolutely everything you say is true here, and I’ve been eating loads of turd trying it haha Thanx man!
Quality tutorial, you really covered it well, and I've seen loads of tutorials on loads of different tricks. You brought the technicals of the trick, common mistakes and what they lead to. Keep these up.
So when you get into the air you could spin either direction. The way you show is probably more natural for initiating the turn but you're landing more blind so I've never attempted it that way. I've tried it a handful of times the other way thinking it would be easier if I had more time to "spot my landing". I'll have to try it this way and make sure I don't yank my shoulders too bad (that's a fear of mine, hence my logic about which direction to spin! haha)
Feeling kind of stuck with my wakeboard progress right now. My most recently learned tricks are scarecrow and ts fs 540. Torn between what I should try next. Tantrum to blind? bs 540? Crow mobe? Kind of depends on how solid I have the predecessors to those tricks I guess.
I'm hit or miss on this trick, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt but two things that work for me are to reduce the tension as I'm approaching the wake so I'm pointed more toward the boat at take off and to "spin toward the boat" and not away from it. When I try and take too hard of an edge and have too much lateral energy the handle is never there on the pass but if I'm reducing that tension and energy and executing the jump toward the boat and not toward the shoreline it lines up nicely.
I have been working on the hs fs 360 for the 2nd season now. This year i decided to work more on the fundamentals (surface 360 etc). Still not quite there… i think i land a bit off axis and need to get my take off a bit more consistant being balanced over the board If anyone or david would like to give me some feedback i have a few videos on my channel of my attempts. ua-cam.com/video/wkLw6232M_E/v-deo.html
I watched your video. Looks like you could maybe add some more weight to your front foot on the approach. Then really use your boot to initiate the spin once your in the air. That should help you stay on axis!! Kept at it! It’s not easy!
@@DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder thanks! Will try, and your observation regarding the weight distribution is probably right. I have a tendency to be a bit backfoot heavy in general
@@DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder also, while I have you on the thread, Thank you for all of your videos! I have been following you for the last years. I appreciate your positive energy and attitude, as well as all of the helpfull tips/instructions you give. I ride in Sweden for the most part and watching your videos before our rather short season begins really gets me stoked and eager to get tye boat out. This year i had my first ride in 11 degree water 😅
@@DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder I finally made it! This might be migh 4th successful attempt. I still think i drop my chest a bit. But it was awsome when I made it wake to wake successfully on my first try that weekend. It felt so effortless and easy. I'd say now i make it about 50 % of the time and when I don't its more just missing the handle pass a little. That might be connected to dropping my chest a bit. Thanks for your tutorials. Next I will be working more on my toeside and toeside backroll as I'm a bit of a heelside warrior :) LINK: ua-cam.com/video/sTInuW0_Rwc/v-deo.html

videos are getting better! Love these thanks!!
Very clear advice and reasons. Thanks for the video. One of your most professional looking vids. Lighting was also very cool. Keep it up DavidOC.
Thanks so much!!!

Agreed that spinning (anything more than 180s) is more difficult than many inverts.
Guten Morgen 😊🤙🏼👍🏼
"Eating turd for dinner" haha, love it!
Hahaha I only speak the truth!
@@DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder Yes you do, and I appreciate that! 👊
I always get off axis now ever sense I took a nasty back edge, but I can still do it lol
