If you haven't seen it already, Farmer P has been having a demo of a T5 140 with a loader. He was really impressed with it. It looks like a seriously good piece of kit.
Man after my own heart certainly can't beat looking at a tidy well presented back end!! Lol 😆 well Ford certainly have come along way from the trusty 7600 bubble cab that's for sure very good video I'm impressed
Definitely an upgrade from the Ford I grew up using. The one we had was the same model year as I was, so it wasn't terribly old, but I'll turn 63 next month, so there have been a lot of improvements in that time.
Thirty years away from farming, moved to a rural area in South Australia, I help a neighbour with seeding on NH T8 410, on a twelve meter air seeder and cart. I have to say NH have the transmission worked out, intuitive and relatively easy to learn.
Great all round tractor nice to see the more average size machines getting some attention not just the big power houses, as for rain we are desperate but at the same time not during harvest we are never happy are we lol.
Hi George, Yes you can take a bet that when harvest starts it will rain, Nice to see you and Liz working together, Well all the best with the rest of the harvesting you take care of yourself and stay safe and well.🚜🚜🌧👍⭐️
Looks a lovely tractor George. Be good to see it on the plough. Typical it starts to rain just as the combines out especially as the weathers been that dry for you recently....
All i remember with wheat is the moisture level, too high and we had to dry it, we took are loads straight to mill, saves lot of hassle storing on farm, keep it up George and Liz...
Good interesting review on the T5 George 👍 looks like she has plenty of power 💪 nice to see Liz out an about with you👍 would like to see the T5 Actually pullin the Dowdeswell 🤔👌
Yes farmer P loves his demo aswell .Do you know how the suits are going Manage tractors with 50k box. Will this make tractors the same as LGV ref tachometer and Mots...more Vosa power.
George please check the lowest speed for hedgecutting and for vegetable work. I think these gearboxes are too fast without creep. especially with 2/3 years growth on hedges?
More videos of this tractor please! Also another UA-camr called "Farmer P" just had one of these home on demo and did a bit of reviewing of it. Pretty same spec as yours only it has the big screen.
Just a question out of interest. George do you prefer hydraulic or manual transmissions on a tractor? I personally like hydraulic transmission specially when the tractor has a front loader. Manual transmission dose have it's benefits as well just in the modern day most new things come with hydraulic transmissions.
Great video George, Just a couple of observations 1 tough decision to have to make between a cup holder or having the wife in the buddy seat, 2 you said rear ends should be uncluttered and simple, shame that dosen't apply to our local high street. (Huge).
Good Size That Tractor for Most Jobs And A Lot Cheaper to buy and Run Which is Now More important Than Ever. Twin Clutch DTC Type is One of the Best as You Don't Loose Lots of Power Unlike CVT which do And Also You have Better Control Regarding the Weather Were in a Right State With Water Shortages Being Talked About and So We Need All the Rain we can Get Yet We Also Need to get Harvest Done Would be could to See that pulling a Plough or Any other Draft Work to see how it Performs under Load better👍
Hi George nice video yet again. Quick question for you, how does the medion 310 work with the straw chopper on? Is it powerful enough to handle 4.50 m cutter? I have one but want to add a chopper
I, definitely gonna have to have a look round one properly if I get chance, it looks a completely different machine to the T5 we’ve got… which ain’t a bad thing! If they have got it right, I could see people dropping down a tractor size
do you think youll get a combine on demo? or maybe a second hand one?, was looking at second hand ones the other day, some of them are still eye watering!!
We had a T5.140 on demo for replacing an older T6.160. Great tractor and spec, but the lack of 50k and air brakes in the T5 range has so far put us off changing.
@@jamesmooreism Yeah we tried the NH equivalent T6.175 prior to the T5. Again, nice tractor but with the longer wheelbase over the previous T6 and bigger loader, it was too big for what we needed
My impression is that for many hill farms (E.g. Wales) that have farmyards with limited turning space, these New Holland tractors are a far better choice than something like a John Deere that often have a very long nose on them. Massey Ferguson in recent years also seem to be 'long nosed'. Obviously, it depends on what size of tractor you go for, but the New Hollands seem to be far more compact. Just my impression.
Ashamed to admit it George but I haven't ever had a singular working minute in a New Holland. Might have to remedy that listening to what you're saying about that little one .
Liz been let out for been a good girl ?? It's that time .......Liz on the combine time . Someone else o UA-cam has a T5-140 on demo and he's happy and giving a good review must be a good toy.
Farmer P is driving a T5 on demo at the moment and loves it.
He isn't so sure about the price though Matthew lol

Hallo george Nice Film with the new t5 New Holland tractor the new gear shift drives like a cvt.
It’s good to see Liz George. Wish we could see more of her in your videos. You did an amazing job the other day with that horrible fire.
She likely appears as often as she cares to contribute.

Have one of those that i bought just 12 months ago, slightly higher spec i think. Looks like they have improved a few things in the cab.
T5 is great George, very similar transmission to the Command 8 on my Deere 5125R👍👍
re bonjour George et Liz une belle vidéo , le t5 et pas mal ,bon courage a vous pour la moisson 😍👍👍👍👍
New tractor George, the field looks Abit damp when it’s coming out lumpy , you got the dryer set up at the farm , 👍
Yes farmer P loves his demo aswell .Do you know how the suits are going Manage tractors with 50k box. Will this make tractors the same as LGV ref tachometer and Mots...more Vosa power.
Oh shame the weather is playing up. hope it all goes well George. Our wheat gave 16% this morning so have left it. Take care.
It's great to see you and your sister working together
Seems like it would be a very versatile tractor!
George please check the lowest speed for hedgecutting and for vegetable work. I think these gearboxes are too fast without creep. especially with 2/3 years growth on hedges?
Thank you for the speed test! I don't run at 1000 but id I run as you suggested may just be ok. Simon

Nice sounding tractor just what you need.
That Auto box must make a difference carting , going round islands and dealing with traffic
Loving the regular videos keep them coming please
The latest tractor with everything anyone could ever want but it still requires that bit of obligatory sisal to hold the trailer cables up!!!!!
😆

We don't chop very often, but it has power to spare when it does 👍
Is this brand new machine?
It really does look impressive.
Last tractor I drove on the farm was a Ford 5000 modern tractors are luxury
Are you not afraid that the wheat will spoil putting it into grain bins while wet
Hello George Iam not a new Holland fan but she does look good keep up the good work 👍👍
I, definitely gonna have to have a look round one properly if I get chance, it looks a completely different machine to the T5 we’ve got… which ain’t a bad thing! If they have got it right, I could see people dropping down a tractor size
You wanted rain😂
Bellissimo il New Holland....💪💪💪💪
is it the same as farmer p without the monitor?
Try its grandfather, a Ford with Select O Speed transmission to see how far things have progressed.
do you think youll get a combine on demo? or maybe a second hand one?, was looking at second hand ones the other day, some of them are still eye watering!!
Another great video George. On UA-cam this week "Farmer P" is also trying out a T5 with a loader and he also thinks it's a lovely tractor
Cheers Ken 👍
Nice review George Cheers.
Are you going to get a deutz on demo
awww thought yall had bought this was happy for you
Do you bale the wheat straw? Or feed it? Or is it just used as a bedding?
How's Dave doing?
He's a little bit sore, but has nearly made a full recovery 👍
We had a T5.140 on demo for replacing an older T6.160. Great tractor and spec, but the lack of 50k and air brakes in the T5 range has so far put us off changing.
Go case maxxum 145 also dynamic command/active drive 8 Can get 50k and air
