Mickelson is always somewhere other than the fairway 😂 reminds me of myself in a way
But he always hits a great shot
Too bad we aren’t as good lol
So true
Except he’s good at getting back in🤣🤣
but he won the pga
There are 2 kinds of people:
Those that hit off of cart paths, and those that buy their own clubs.
HyperionSc2 there are those that have one of every club and those who hit of cart paths
Yeah....some of us have to purchase our own clubs so we don’t do something stupid like hit off the cart path. Other people get 2 and 3 sets of clubs handed to them on a regular basis, so they could care less.
Grow some balls
@@charliejlavery you grow your own? That could save some folks a lot of $$!
@@robwagner7545 a scuffed club still strikes pure. Stop worrying about resale value and enjoy the game
I love how Phil has like 5 clips in this , no surprise there lol
If I got “free clubs” I’d hit off the path, or rock filled hardpack as well.
Forreal. I'm kicking the ball a couple feet over
@Wolf Den my local driving range has a 5$ bin filled with all kinds of old clubs and the money goes to a kids golf program.
Well, one of my best shots was off rocks, about 1 inch from the hole, while playing a 4 man scramble, the fun thing about it was i closed my eyes before swinging the club
It’s not free
They pay a lot for equipment
guys its 2020 please stop putting shutterstock music to the background of all your vids. i feel like im watching a sodastream commercial
Chill out.
The video title could have been «Phil’s best shots from the cart path»
Tellus 8029 my thoughts exactly
Now I want to see the worst shots off the path 🤣
yes to this. i want to see how bad it can get
Haha. This is no big deal cos some of our driving range mats are as hard as cart paths.
It was nice to hear Peter Oosterhuis’ voice. Wishing him well. He’s definitely missed.
One of the best pga tour videos
i’m convinced phil practices off the car paths
I was at the FedEx cup championship a few years ago, and Charley Hoffman hit a terrible tee shot off 1 it rolled under a concessions tent and his drop was on the cartpath. He took a few drops, obviously it rolled, so he placed it on the cartpath, picked it clean threaded the needle through the trees and it landed on the green. That was one of the best cartpath shots I had seen and one of the strangest drop rulings too.
I cant even hit the ball off a golf mat
My Practice mats at the driving range are sometimes hard like concrete so I have pretty good practice hitting it off a surface like that.
Awesome video with awesome swings!!!!
These guys absolutely amaze me. They have arguably every shot in the bag, based on every situation.
As good as Phil is, I seem to always see him multiple times in these crazy shots/recovery shots videos lol.
Reed R. Sometimes I think he just gets bored and hits one bad on purpose hoping to leave a tough shot to challenge himself.
0:34 dudes got balls of steel for blocking those kids. Brains not so much.
I like how the announcer commented on it too. The way I play if you're anywhere downrange (even where the spectators stand for "normal" shots) you can consider yourself in some sort of danger lol.
a little miss and one of the kids needs a new face. he isn't blocking much (though props for even standing there like that)
Awesome!
I don’t think any realizes how AMAZING Wesley Bryan’s shot was at 2 Mins.
Off the cart path, behind the trees, draw, on the green from 100 yds plus 🤯
Can hear Jim Thorpe's metal spikes. They were fun!
How is Tigers shot good? He literly hit a person😂
I thought the same hahaha
It’s Tiger
It's good because he did not hit the person. I would have hit the person, no problems at all.
Julian Gretz because he is the 🐐
It’s tiger if he did it there going to show it even bad or good
Phil loves the cart path
Awesome
Accurate the ball and good of feels control
Bro they hit it better off the cart path then I do off the fairway😂
than
0:35 sounds like those people in the bushes are really going to town on each other instead of watching the golf 😆😆
The 3 woods are insane
Yes your right there so good
I knew mickelson was gonna be half of this list 😂
Phil does this just for fun
4:15 how on earth did that ball stay still and not roll down the hill? lol
Yeah you’re right. Very lucky
Rikki Thunder probably caught on a dimple, very rare
Man does Phil’s long clubs get him in trouble lmao.
One great shot makes up for a bad one I love to watch Phil he always digs himself out of a hole nobody is better near the green and in the ruff
Some of the finest tuned athletes in sports.
This is how many times Phil mickelson was in it
👇
How can they talk about club damage when they’re sponsored:/
Because they can't replace the club until after the round. It does matter when you're playing for millions.
Strange Bedfellow yes you can.... if it’s damaged in the course of play you can replace mid round.
@@davidkaplan5517 What rule are you going off of that says it can be replaced if it's damaged in the course of play?
New Rule: Under Rule 4.1:
A player is allowed to keep using and/or to repair any club damaged during the round, no matter what the damage and even if the player damaged it in anger.
A player is not allowed to replace a damaged club, except when it is damaged during the round by an outside influence or natural forces or by someone other than the player or his or her caddie.
TIGER FROM THE CART PATH!
I'll get the recent Tiger club impact video as my new ringtone, but this video is WAY more satisfying actually.
Irons are one thing, but I’m never hitting my own 3 wood off the cart path 😂😂😂
Jim Thorpe's was my favorite!
I loved watching the big guy play
Phil likes cart paths 😅
I wish that I could hit it off the cart path, but I’m too scared to ruin my clubs! 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah they'll probably just get a brand new club for the next round, and they probably buy a brand new set every year anyways.
Whereas you or I will have one set of clubs for many years. A lifetime even for irons if you have really good set.
Ironically, some of my best shots were balls bouncing down cart paths and getting extra yardage!
Why? You get free relief dude. Just take the drop.
Nothing difficult hitting off a path, in fact better than some rough
I played with a guy in high school who would hit perfect pic 5 irons off concrete. It was impressive
2:04 I see you wedgeley!!!!
Have a look at Schwartzel recovery from the cart path on the European tour. One of the best shots I’ve ever seen
Quite possibly the greatest shot of all time
Gotta update this for JT's nearly perfect cart part shot that happened recently
1:08 So the middle of the fairway has a concrete path through it?
I could’ve sworn the title said “best Phil Mickelson recovery shots”
Congratulations Phil
4:44 guy is arrested by a cop in the back haha
Tiger woods first one 😂😂😂😂 Wildin! Choosing to hit it from the cart path with jit sitting five yards in front and down the whole day green 🙌🏾 it’s the blasian gang Nd tony funny for that tooo
2:15 That swing
Phil finds a lot of cart paths - guess it's an easy decision for these guys to play the shot because they can get a replacement club from the manufacturer trailer at the end of the round.
Unfortunately for us, it's a damaged club or buying a new one :)
@@3k2p6 Yep, way to do it
Sorry, I wanted to edit and delete the message unintentionally. I wanted to say that with friends we take a free drop but not so strict as it is in competition. So if the nearest spot is worst we go back away from the flag to a better place.
@@3k2p6 You get a free drop off a cart path in competition anyway. I think with the pros in these situations they were better off playing it on the path as a drop may have put the ball in a bad or worse lie.
These guys are so good they don't have any problem playing off cart paths as you can see :)
Tiger 🐯!
Tiger killed
I hit one in from 153yrds off the cart path to break 120
atta boy phiiilll
Wonder if we’ll every have an audience again for golf...
Man in blue is crazy 0:33
Am I the only one who loves pga videos but hates the music?
0:34 I wouldn't be standing right there.
Man Phil is all over this, I think he might prefer it.
How was tiger one good
Its because he's black
Coming from someone currently learning about hitting "down" on the ball, and correctly having a trailing divot, I'm starting to wonder if divots are even necessary at all. If you ever watch a close up of a professional golf shot (close up on the ball) you can clearly see that the club hits the ball first, and then inevitably digs into the ground AFTER contact with the ball has already been made. But watching a lot of these shots from the cart path, it looks as if they still make contact with the ball first, but also avoid hitting the cart path entirely, or maybe just a very slight skim. So would that mean you DON'T actually have to make a divot? ever? to hit a perfect golf shot?
Best shots. First shot goes into the crowd.
I miss Golf so much. And I don’t understand why they can’t play.
I miss it too, but maybe... JUST maybe they're not playing because of a global pandemic...
Yo Mama Thanks bro
Yo Mama Any single person could technically go and play golf.....but how would you watch them? Oh and then there’s all the course officials, green keepers, sponsorship, catering, travel, and hospitality crews.....it’s not just a simple case of one golfer, or even a dozen golfers being responsible.
Tommy Two Gloves
the 2:02 Wesley Bryan shot was the best IMO
Normans 1 iron into a par 5 over trees from 230y. Best shot off a path i've ever seen
Driver off the cart path is mind blowing to me. I’d destroy my driver if I tired to do that
the fact that people stand so close while they are hitting it. like that tiger shot in the beginning... lol no fear... or 0:34 gotta be insane to be that close.
There was a teacher that made you hit off of concrete and bare dirt, he supplied clubs, it makes you hit better, when you can consistently hit like that, any grass you land on feels like you can hit it on any green.
3:35 lmaooo
I guess one of the advantages of having as many fans in the gallery as Tiger is that there's a good chance your hooks will hit somebody before they careen out of bounds
Asphalt lies are even better !
Didn’t need this weird background music
Why no free drop?
I love how they always talk about damage to the clubs like these guys actually pay for their own gear
This is when the foot wedge comes in handy
You already get free relief from a cart path.
People standing directly on the bath from which golfer is hitting the ball: not too smart.
I always hit thin so normal play. lol
Does the ball really stop there? I'd like to see that for some of these shots.
Yeah exactly, look at 4:15?!?!?! Super rare for it to stay there.
I absolutely hate the sound of a club hitting anything else other than golf balls and grass
For them, it's absolutely worth it. A single stroke is worth thousands of dollars. If you have to scratch up a club, so be it.
Tiger white a guy still awesome guy 😀😀😀
Haha tiger woods into the crowd has that a good shot
4/13/20
3:06 is the winner
This is a complemation video of every shot Phil Mickelson ever hit
didnt we have a free drop from the cart path? correct me if im wrong
Yes, but you have to take the nearest point of relief, and that could be dropping it into bushes or rough that may be a terrible lie. And will cost shots, so hitting of the path is the best option.
Phil spends more time on the cart path than the golf cart
0:34, gotta say, I probably wouldn't have my kids standing right there
Please leave some time to read the name before showing the shot, when a clip starts I try and read then name then miss the shot and have to rewind
How is the first one good....
ah bubba Watson. the infamous tiger memorial chip in.
tiger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woo
This guy 1:25
Those people at 0:34 have some balls standing there. Especially with a fairway wood.
no problem, they let their kids stand first...
@@shimba90 ya, exactly! Haha
How is 0:54 a PGA's green?
0:34 Respect to the guy blocking for the crowd but those two little kids look fully exposed. Could be just the angle but those parents are brave. lol
Phil actually prefers it from the cart path
