    man brother soon as you took your boy and put him in front of you on that tiller. it took me back some 25 years with me and my old man in the garden every spring thanks for that jog down memory lane.

      I knew nothing about a tiller, smh me and my hubby shoveled for our 18' pool. We heard the price of the bobcat and then went to walmart to buy shovels 😆

    nice video but that tiller would have worked faster if you were told to fold up the front wheel it is not to be down for tilling, only used to transport

    I am installing an above ground pool. I used a tiller but my lawn slopes by a few inches. I read the intex pools should not be installed with sand. So my problem now is finishing the leveling process.

      @@TheLawnLife the sand will cause the pool to shift over time. I see a lot of videos where sand is used and I can see why as it makes leveling so.much easier. It's not reccomended.

      @@forextrader2464 I’m trying to level out my area too for my 18ft Intex pool. I was told to use rocks then sand on top and a tarp on top of that. Why is sand not really recommended? I’m new to these big pools I don’t really know what I’m doing haha thanks for any help

      @@ricco3 You have to put a border around the sand and sink pavers so the pavers are level with the ground and each other. The landscape edging or retainer wall keeps the sand from washing out and the pavers keep the legs from sinking.

    I’ve got an 18ft wide Intex pool I’m gonna install too, but I’ve got an issue. So the area I’m putting it in has a slight slope. Is it better to dig into the hill or raise the low side for levelling of the pool? I’m new to these big pools thanks in advance for any advice given

      You are supposed to dig out the high spots.

    • @cmdr_slayer4881

      Dig the high spot because if you fill the low spot, the weight of the pool with water will shift the fill dirt/soil. I have a 12" difference between my low and high sides and wanted to fill the low. But a landscaper I know says he's seen more collapsed pool due to people doing that.

    Did you level the ground with the sand or did you level the ground then add sand as cushion? And also, did you only use water to compact it?

  • @marciananton9226
    @marciananton9226 2 місяці тому

    If your base was already pretty hard, why didn't yall just dig the high side level to the low and eliminate the sand.

      Im thinking the same thing. Spent $600 on a new pool. Companys want to charge me $1000 to come level my ground. Why would I spend more on the ground then I did the pool? I'm thinking I should just take the pool back!
