    Thank you for this great video! How much sand did you use? I'm installing a 24' pool and would like to know how much sand I should buy.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  4 роки тому +1

      You should get roughly 3 and a 1/2 tons for a 24 round and make sure you get mason sand you dont want the other stuff with bits of stone! Thank you you for watching and if you haven't yet make sure to hit that subscribe button! Thank you!

    My friends and I have been putting up and taking down my pool in the backyard for the past 14 years one full never had to buy anything other than a few screws and track pieces, putting it up and taking it down every year makes it last way longer.

    Do you have to put down a pad down before or after the sand....or is that just overkill?

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  3 роки тому +2

      You can if you want but normally the sand is more than enough! Thank you for watching!

    Had a bad install. Expandable liner pulled down as it was filling and installer had left. Attempted to fix and a big gust of wind knocks down part of the wall. Ouch. What are the wall holder clips you use? If I can't rescue the wall with sheet metal I'll need a new wall. Any idea where I could get one reasonably? Thanks

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Рік тому +1

      I made homemade wall hangers! Check with your local pool dealers, you might be able to get a section from them its alot of work you have to cut and drill holes out, also you would need to piece it together like you do on install which means strapping and wall bolts from top to bottom like you do when connecting your pool, unfortunately you might be better off getting a new pool or used pool for cheap sometimes free on market place, sucks that happened to you I wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do and thank you for watching!👍

    Is there any liner styles that you dont build sand up 2 to 3 inches in the base?

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  4 роки тому +1

      Only if you are putting down pool padding then you could get away with less but I know at least here in the northeast you want at least 3 inches because of the freezing and thawing, rocks and other items work there way up through the base and can puncture your liner if not thick enough ,if you live in a warm state then it's a different story but at least up my way a good base prevents premature liner wear and puncture!
      Thank you for watching if you haven't subscribed already click that subscribe button it helps out, thank you!!!😉

      @@WhitehouseFarmVet i have sand down but i was curious if that 2 to 3 inch depth of sand affected liner appearance when using a bead lock style liner edge. My system uses the j lock style coping to lock liner in place.

    What the dimension of the pool? I been looking at one that 18x52.

    Have you ever used the stick on foam cove? Whats you thoughts on that??

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Рік тому +1

      It's a pain in the ass to get set and when doing the liner it can move even though it's glued on, they are OK and do work but your already getting mason sand, so just make your cove with that and also save money on a cove!!!! But which ever route you go both ways work, good luck and thank you for watching!👍😊

    Is 9-cu feet of sand good enough for the 18 round bottom pool.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  Рік тому

      Not even close you need 120 cu feet or 3 tons or 2 yards of sand for a 18ft round pool you could probably get away with 2 1/2 tons!

    You should never add dirt or move dirt around when leveling, only remove. Due to settling, it will appear level once you move that dirt around but when it settles it will be a different story.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  3 роки тому +7

      I agree that you should never add dirt if your looking to raise your level for blocking but that's not what that is for we moved what was the little from the high side to the low side as fill for where we would be dumping sand as fill, so your not having to use more sand, then still had to dig down into the hard pan to get all the blocks at ground level in the hard pan then scraped and moved dirt back toward the center away from the base ring, then tamped the entire area, you can move dirt all around the circle and tamp it because you will be adding 2 plus tons of sand for a 18 round at a 3 inch level with 6 inch coved sides, so it wont matter where the dirt goes as long as your not building up your blocks that would be big no no and settling would occur and the pool would be out of level I know it's hard to tell , but I definitely understand what your saying. You can check out my other video which is more detailed specifically on ground work, ua-cam.com/video/cm3ErpgTuHg/v-deo.html
