When I was 11 years old I've been begging my parents to by me this game, and I finally got it but once I started playing it it didn't end well. And don't even get me started with the silver boss battle.
When I was 6 I couldn't get past that
I could never finish that. I thought my copy of the game was bugged

For those who don’t know, this isn’t the first time Sonic was paired up with a woman. Well, I’m not entirely correct, but I’m not entirely wrong either. More specifically, from conception, Sonic was planned to have a girlfriend named Madonna, a human. I think at least. The difference here is that Elise was actually carried out.
And now she isn't cannon so...

In Generations we see Crisis City, in Colors DS we see Silver and Blaze saying that they feel like they already know eachother.
There's a movie where he has a cat girl girlfriend but the movie isn't exactly canon per-say

the graphics were alright the gameplay was really hard for me, i could never get past the part where you have to save elise, (used to have the biggest crush on her)

Was my favorite game as a kid. Didn’t learn till years later how much everyone hated it! In hindsight of course it was awful, but I finished 2/3 of the storylines. Sonic’s got bugged for me and I could never finish it

In all honesty I was just happy that Sega was still releasing Sonic titles. I don’t remember it being that bad or buggy but I haven’t played it since I was a preteen. The one that I really didn’t like was the werehog one (I think I rented it once and I played it 2 times throughout the whole rental period) I appreciated them incorporating new mechanics but the werehog segments were too slow paced for me.

This literally happened to me. I think i liked it because i only had sonic heroes and i liked that this one seemed more mature. Plus whenever glitches happened I just assumed i sucked at the game. Man I was a dumb kid, but still dont regret my time with the game

Shared this on Somecallme Johnny's Sonic 06 review but this game has 456 load screens which totals 1 hour 58 minutes and 38 seconds of just load times for this game, assuming you don't fail a mission and need to restart...

A video on Sonic ‘06 in 2020 might seem like beating a dead horse, but I like how you actually look at the circumstances leading up to the game and the rocky development cycle of previous Sonic games to illustrate why it turned out the way it did. Instead of just being like “Sonic ‘06 is bad and here’s why” for 15 minutes!
That’s not to defend the game though, since the retail version is complete ass and a buggy and rushed dumpster fire. But after playing the amazing Project ‘06 recently, which’s a fanmade remake for PC basically overhauls the game and removes almost all the bugs, it’s made me realize how great this movie could’ve been if proper time and care were given to it. And it’s a large shame that due to its poor reception, Sega just ditched the adventure formula and haven’t touched it since.
With Sonic Colors Ultimate continuing the trend of underwhelming Sonic games, let’s just pray that Sonic 2022 is actually good and finally ends this cycle of mediocrity for 3D Sonic after Generations.

I know this game would've done great if the team had another year or so and I feel bad for the small team that was left to finish the game knowing it wasn't perfect gameplay wise

Meh. The soundtrack is nowhere near as iconic as the music in the classics or as catchy as the Adventure games. Hell I'll argue Unleashed, Colors ,Mania are far better than anything on Sonic 06s soundtrack

if they wanted a princess love interest this probably would have been the opportune time to introduce a certain freedom fighter into their games, in fact while we're at it i can totally see Lacey's voice coming out of her mouth too. But no Sega of Japan hates SatAM.
But they can’t add Sally because that version of Sonic is a spin off and not canon to the original story. Besides, those characters are unnecessary anyways 🤷🏽♀️

Although I can this admit this game is bad, I still absolutely love it. I still can beat it and remember all of the fun glitches, and messing with my sister with silver. I hold this game close to my heart.

If Sega didn’t rush the game’s release date and polished it further, I think it would have gone down as one of the best Sonic games.
If Sonic 06 would have been a movie, and replace Elise with literally any other Sonic character (Blaze's ancestor?), then I think it would have worked out pretty well.
I remember so much good memories of that game and I don't remember any glitches other than falling through the map.
Same, I think people look for or force glitches in sonic games to say they are bad.

I never even got passed the 1st city lvl when i was 7, me and my cousin would try it every holiday for years until we realized we had to talk to that random npc, we didnt understand english too😂 but the multiplayer nostalgia makes it a 10/10 for me

I played sonic 06, and yes the loading screens and glitches were really REALLY bad, but honestly, despite popular opinion, the cinematics, story, and free roam made me love the game as a kid and in my personal opinion I think its not as bad as everyone says

I started playing 06 for the first time today and I was thinking about my thoughts about the game. I think its a bad game but I don't find the gameplay that bad, its mediocre at best, I think its unpolished but when its working, it's ok.

To be honest, I enjoyed it for the most part. The glitches aren't noticeable unless you are really trying to find some. I have beaten the game all very hard modes and everything. I liked the concept and Sonic 06 is a game that Sega will remind themselves to never rush a game even though they were rushed by Sony and Microsoft to get the game done around the holidays
I also thought the missions were actually decent for what they were. I think the story was good in its own way. Sure, the kiss may have been unnecessary but the build up to Solaris was actually great
Music was god tier in this game. They didn't mess up Shadow's story because the president of Sega told Sonic team to not mess up Shadow's character. Sonic's story is very similar to Mario's story in which he has to save the princess almost every time. Silver's story is like Trunks' story in which its time travel and it was decent.
I can see why people hate Sonic 06 but I personally liked it and its everyone's opinions.

Sonic 06 yes was a bad game but I remember getting it for the 360 when I was younger and actually beat it even with all the mess and frustration it is one of the worst games ever but it has a special place in my heart I remember playing the sand area boss mission dog thing over and over just to have something to do lmao different times back then

Even during development that some staff were pulled from sonic 06 development to sonic and the seven rings And it became a race to the finish if this sounds familiar this also happened to anthem (2019) Because at E3 2017 to show up it can you play which turned out to be fake which is revealed the Jason Schreier article and not only Heavy crunch during development and dragon age 4 development team at their disposal it also became a race to the finish for BioWare and launch was a disaster And the reason for that the accidentally released a build that is a few weeks old.

I feel like your just either being bias or your following others who say just that in other words, being manipulated. You gotta take into consideration that this game was segas first release on console and made in 2006 where we barely had that much technology back then, compare this game to other 2006 games and then you’ll see what I mean.
I don’t understand how you can defend Sonic 06 because it was a complete buggy mess. SA1 was less buggy and it was their first proper 3D titles. It’s literally been stated that the team could’ve done it but they rushed it with very little people, had nothing to do with the technology they were working with

06 was a game people were genuinely hyped for, because of it's ambition and creativity.

A re-take of a movie nobody liked, that got a lot of positive attention and seems to be enjoyed.
I didn't like the movie, but still...
It convinced me to watch it out of curiosity, as did many people.
Now why do I think an 06 pseudo-remake could be successful.
Simple.
People want a game that is intriguing in someway, 06 has that for the mass majority.
On top of that, people would be interested in whether or not it turned the infamously bad game into a masterpiece.
I don't expect Sega to do this of course, but I don't believe it would be impossible to make it work.

I mean, Sonic '06 is a really bad game. I give it a 2/10 score. While PORTAL 2 from Valve is worse, that doesn't say much.

So I’ve been asking this ever since rise of lyric came out is 06 worser then boom or is boom worser with all tham glitches I never played 06 before but I played boom and believe me I regret it and I can’t even think about what 06 is like also sonic 2 3 unleashed adventure 1 2 generations R fire and ice was my favorite sonic games

I hate this game with my heart & soul. It was very hard to figure out what in hell you were supposed to be doing & if you didn't figure it out in time the punishment was far too burdening. But the thing about this game I hate most is how annoying the characters are. Every time a character jumps, they make an annoying & suggestive sound. You know, something like, "uYeAghhh".
My friend, I can tell you when you get to my age, you're going to make that sound not only when you jump, but even when you just get up from the couch. ;)
