Though there are many names, the original device from 1908 was known as a "flat-head screw turner"."
My relevance is when I'm selling 20 odd flat-headed screws with various slots and a customer calls wanting flat-headed screws and flat-headed screwdrivers, and I would bet my bonus that this happens 50 times a week it gets just a bit annoying having to explain this every time. We source screws and drivers from a multitude of manufacturers and distributors worldwide and not one of them describes any product as a flat-headed screwdriver

@@markbell1 You have me there Mark. No Octoprint and I used the one from Canada. But that is the extent of my knowledge.
@@markbell1 FYI, i tried the stock Creality BLTouch version, nothing but problems with the z off first layer. Installed this firmware, and was printing perfect first layer every time within 10 minutes. Fantastic! No idea on octoprint as don't use that
The prying and hacking of the JST connectors makes me cringe. You should cut the wire to the proper length and re terminate with a new JST using the correct pin outs.
That made me cringe too. A proper crimper and a set of JST connectors isnt too expensive.
or buy the creality bltouch kit that comes with the proper wiring and connectors.
all this useless thing did was make my printer print ten inches over the print bed...
I just cut the wire and reinstalled the original firmware, now it prints perfectly every time, unfortunately with an ugly and expensive cancer hanging off the side of the hot end.
There is no such thing as a "flathead screwdriver" what you are describing is a slotted screwdriver
You find that relevant how ?
And beside that, you are not correct. Language evolve.
"The tool used to drive a slotted screw head is called a standard, common blade, flat-blade, slot-head, straight, flat, flat-tip, or "flat-head" screwdriver. ...
@@AndrewAHayes Where I am from it has *Always* been known as a flat head screwdriverl and Wiki does not agree with your either.
Crealities BLtouch for the V2 has wiring as white, black, yellow, blue red. This video has brown, red, orange, black, white. What is actually the correct order/pinout? I don't have this version and am afraid to wire in wrong order.
