@The 3D Print Zone it seems many have this same issue of having the Z stopping at 0, and having to use the Z offset to get it to the right height. After trying to save it in control settings, it does nothing and goes back to being about 11mm up. After it rehome, the Z in the "Move" is back at 10, and Z offset is at the same number, but when the Z in "move" is back to 0 the offset is basically at 0, though it says (for me) -1.22. How is it supposed to save? The instructions that says to set everything then "Storage Configuration". Though it doesn't change anything. Any help? - After saving it and auto leveling, it goes back to the middle LOWER than it was basically touching the bed.
For anyone struggling @16:40 when Move Z will not go below zero... After Auto homing, use the Z-Offest instead to adjust the nozzle close to your bed. After setting that, auto home again and now try going to Move -> Move Z. Going down to 0 should now be nice and close to the bed. Found this burried in the comments and it worked for me! Looks like they have updated the firmware or something and made this change. Hope this helps! (and give a like so people notice this comment if it helped :D)
I'm not following this. First of all OP starts with Z-Offset at 0.00 after Auto home. OP moves the Z axis down until it touches the paper and notes the setting and trams the bed. OP sets the Z-Offset to the Z axis setting noted earlier and heads off to update slicer and test print. The first issue is maybe a newer version of firmware I downloaded has different limits. It would explain why some of us can't move the Z axis into negative values. @Mowtown suggest dialing in some Z-Offset first but wouldn't you need to add the initial Z-Offset and the Z axis setting you noted earlier. In my case this would exceed 5. Doing the Z-Offset first might make sense if Auto home keeps the Z-Offset adjustment but zeroes the Z-Offset setting, somehow.

This is a GREAT step by step guide. The only issue I had with these directions was installing the bin. I searched through the comments and someone mentioned the issue was most likely related to the naming of the .bin file. I just renamed it firmware.bin and I had no issues thereafter following the remaining steps. Great job!

there have been a few changes since this upload, you can no longer manually move the z axis lower than 0, instead you have to set it to zero and change the z offset from there. Also the download page has been changed and the latest board firmware for the 4.2.2 ender 3 v2 includes the bl touch and cl touch update
Very nice video, but you don't need to remove the "Z" switch wiring or the switch ((just unplug and cap wiring at the switch, lower the switch). You might need the switch if the CL/BL sensor fails.
Be careful to NOT miss any steps when setting the Z-Offset (16:13 into the video). I did. It scared the c#@% out of me when the nozzle started "engraving" the glass!
I did everything as it should, but when I start Auto Home (first time) nozzle going down infinitly. What could be wrong? Using silent motherboard, sprite extruder, CRTouch and right firmware that Creality service provided for my printer setup
This is probably the best presented and thorogh CR Touch install video. Maybe these additional tips could be helpful: 1. Take photos or a screenshot from this video of how the cables are arranged in the electronics box. It's kind of tight in there and it is easy to put strain on or pinch a wire when putting it back together. And you want the wires spaced correctly so that the airflow from the fan is not blocked. 2. That notch at the bottom where the cables come out is very sharp. It seems sharp enough to eventually damage the tape and loom. (I nicked my own wire by accidentally dragging it across that sharp edge). There is a protector on Things Universe to protect that area. 3. If you have trouble fishing the new cable through the thinner loom, a length of filiament can be run through the loom so you can connect it to the cable and pull it back though. I melted a small rounded hook on the end of the filimant to help hold the end of the new cable. A piece of tape held the filament to the cable. The rounded hook also made it easier to push the filament in. 4. For the CR Touch's mounting bracket screws, I used a small drop of blue threadlock since the sensor is going to be knocking around. A couple loose screws will throw off the sensor.
YES! Finally, it works! I've went months without my printer working, mostly because my orginal board was defective but once I upgraded it, this video solved the rest! Thanks!
This saved my printer almost 2 years later lol! Also for anyone not getting the updated options, try updating your board's firmware rather than the CR touch firmware. I was almost 1.6 versions behind
As anyone can attest this video was a life saver and detailed at showing how to confirm the download occurred on the display and in the latest firmware. I still had one issue that I learned was due to the SD card needing to be formatted onto atleast an 8 gb SD card formatted to Fat32 which solved all of my issues. As someone still learning little by little over the past couple weeks this video was very helpful as a whole!!
A huge shout out to you. I have watched a bunch of videos about installing the cr touch, and they're all very confusing. And then I saw your installation video, and now it all started to make sense for me. So good explanation and visual content. A huge thanks to you.
Thanks Jannick! Glad the video was helpful to you! I tried to make it as clear as possible and cover all the steps :) thanks again for the feedback! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
I followed your guide but my prints were still starting out with a huge lip. I believe you need to preheat PLA and do the z offset. Heat expands and the nozzle will sit closer to the bed. Keep that in mind.
Excellent video. May be worth mentioning to take note of the motherboard version while you have it apart installing the wires. The version is printed on the board. This is useful when downloading the firmware.
Before you tilt the printer to the side, take a look at 06:50 and remove the screw that this dude didn't know he had to remove. Also, when you open the mainboard be sure to write down its version number, you will need it later in the video when you have to upgrade the firmware, otherwise you will have to turn the printer to the side again, open up the mainboard again and see the version number, because in the video it's not mentioned that you need to take note of it, it only says that you need it when it shows how to make the firmware, and at that point you have most likely already closed the mainboard. You should find the version number under the Creality logo, somewhere in the center of the mainboard.
This helped me so much, thank you!!!!! Earlier, I tried installing this CR Touch just based off the manual that came with it, but something went wrong when I tried the firmware and my printer starting beeping so much at me, I thought it was done for lol. Your video was very precise, clean, and organized!
Thank you for the video, I most of the upgrades that you have shown so far so PEI plated bed, CR touch, all metal extruder upgraded PTFE tube and upgraded springs and wheels. In the future I may upgrade to an all metal hot end for certain types of plastics but I am very happy with what I have so far. Anyone who is watching this contemplating buying these upgrades for the ender 3, definitely do so it is a huge help.
Hello! Thank you very much! Your video helped a lot!!! I have already lost hope of finding correct information on the operation of CR-Touch on the Internet. You explained everything quickly and competently! Good luck and further creative success!
Awesome video, it truly helped! Thank you!!! Something else I added to the gcode right after the G29 command was an M0 command to pause the print. I noticed with my printer (and also in the video) that while the printer is auto leveling, the hot end cools down. When it tries to heat back up, however, the printer continues attempting to print, and the extruder doesn't move until the target temperature is met again. I added the M0 command to pause the print right after it gets done auto leveling the bed. This will allow the hot end to heat up again. To continue the print, just press the knob on the control panel (preferably once the target temperature has been reached again). Hope this helps!
@@TheViperMan That also works! I've actually since removed the G29 command from my starting gcode as I kept running into inconsistent leveling issues with the sensor auto leveling before every print. Now I just auto level occasionally, and it seems to keep the perfect bed level more consistently for me now.
Thanks for explaining to a novice who's looking at getting into 3d printing how this works instead of just installing assuming we all know how these printers work.
Finally! I have finally found the in depth tutorial. I did not know you had to unplug the z wire from the mob itself. I thought just the z stopper. Tyvm
Hello or good evening from Germany, a hour ago my CR Touch arrived with Amazon Same Day and now, my printer prints the bed level stripes perfectly, thank you for your Video. 1-2 things i made a bit different but overall thats an amazing Tutorial, perfect speed so everybody can do it. @@the3dprintzone Hi, would it be a good idea to remove the 4 springs beneath the print bed and replace them with something solid so the axis never changes from vibration over time, the springs almost seem useless now.
@@TheChromePoet I have not tried removing the springs now that the CR Touch is installed, so I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. If you try it out let me know how it works out for you!
FINALY got it to work. Yesterday I could not get the first layer to stick for anything. Today I changed my "calibration/leveling" technique, set temperature to 210 C for first heating, cleaned the bed with alcohol (which I had tried last night with no improvement) and it worked. Only one hitch: I set the start gcode to include g29. At first part of the print job, it heats up the bed and extruder, sets home points, then when it proceeds with the autolevel process, it turns off the extruder heater! By the time it finishes the leveling process, it is down to 160C. It isn't quite 200C when it does the pre-extrusion (before the skirt) and the start of the skirt it doesn't all stick. It is hot enough when it starts the actual print but some of the early stage goops and strings get carried into the base of the object. I have a feeling that leaving the filament out overnight had a factor. Perhaps it was too dry out of the vacuum seal? Why does it start cooling down when it is executing g29 Since supposedly it saves the auto-level settings, I'm thinking to not put the auto-level code in the print gcode, but rather manually execute level before a print, then run the print. My z-offset is -1.0. I determined it after I got the bed manually leveled at the 4 corners, executed auto-home, then leaving the extruder right where it is, found the Z position that fit the thickness of paper as many do. I did find there's about a 0.2 hysteresis going up and down. IOW if I start at -1.0 and start going down, paper would slide pretty loosely at -1.2 and get stuck at -1.3. When I backed off, paper wouldn't get free until -1.1. I found that the back of the bed's heater lead wires and tape that held it down (up?) would bind against the y motor. So I used the back of the bed as my leveling starting point, having it high enough for the wire/tape to pretty much clear the motor. Instead of using the method of turning off stepper motors to move the bed/head, I instead used the move function to position the head where I needed it to get the knobs set. Once I did everything the bed test print was, except for the pre-print due to the nozzle not getting to temp soon enough, perfect!
best way to feed the cable is run some filament through the other end till you come out the other side, then tape the cable to the filament and pull it back through. if you have issues with the filiment poking through the sleeve then make a ball on the head of the filament using tape and try again till it works.
Wow after watching a bunch of other videos and not getting the CR touch to work properly. Your video was well explained and detailed. Best guide installing and configuring CR Touch.
Thank you!!! I initially tried flashing on my own and locked my unit on the creality screen, I was able to free it after some forum digging. Tried the steps you outlined and worked like a charm. Subscribed, I'm new to the 3d world as of Sunday. Can't wait to finally start some intricate prints and eventually design my own. Again thank you!!!!
Hey CoOnInK91, thanks for the comment! Glad the video was helpful to you and that you were able to get everything setup correctly and working! Thanks for subscribing! Happy printing!
Great video! Was really concise, professional, and helpful! I will say though that after I added the .bin file, the printer did the "black screen of death" thing, and I was freaking out because I thought I had damaged the printer or something. I found out from a Reddit post that for some people the V2 doesn't allow you to have the .bin file with the same name, so I just needed to add a "_1" to the end of the file name, and after ten seconds it FINALLY worked again! So if anyone else had that problem, I'd recommend trying that out!
So its just depends on the model?, it can't be that for some it works without adding anything to the .bin file and some have to add extra characters, most likely an older board model?, unless it has something to do with firmware type.
I just want to say thank you so much I am suuuper new to 3d printing and bought the CR touch because my friend said it would make printing easier for me but became kind of overwhelmed quickly. You made this process easy and explained everything so that a newby like me could understand and I appreciate that 1000 thumbs up and a new subscriber here.
This was really helpful, I had 2 extra steps with the firmware: 1. format my SD card Fat32 and 4096 blocks 2. Rename the bin file to 'Firmware.bin'. Thankyou
Thanks for this video. I was tired of getting my bed levelling right. Got the CR Touch setup with no issues and I love the quality of prints that I'm getting so far.
Thank you so much for this in depth guide. I've tried the BL Touch Bout a year ago but it just didn't work for me. So far, the CR Touch is working great with some minor adjustments to the Z-offset.

Thank you so much for making this video! I was scared I would brick my printer until I found your video and it made it so easy to install the CR Touch!
Great video and easy to follow thanks. Had an issue finding the right firmware as they changed the website around but the biggest issue was updating the firmware, Took me hours to realize the problem was the SD card not the bin file lol
Thanks for your videos! I am new to 3D Printing, it helped me a lot. However I feared for your SD Card reader while you where accessing the Mother Board. I strongly recommend to remove any SD Card prior to unmount the panel !
To anyone who doesn't want to fly through zipties, you can squeeze the ratchet mechanism from the sides, or diagonally, using some pliers to pretty reliably make it let go and slide out, so you can re-use it.
Great tutorial. I did however experience one small issue of the printer not updating the firmware when i turned it on. Turns out I needed to rename the .bin file (I named mine CR Touch but any name works) and it updated with no other issues.
@the 3d print zone - I cannot get mine to go into the minus on the move Z - how do I do this? it won't print properly and I've tried levelling the bed several times.
Thanks for the video. I love the ability to get on the internet Ferber and get information like this. Thanks to creators like you with knowledge we benefit from.
Great video! Very helpful. New out of box 3V2. Was going to install this, and jump through firmware updates - should I update firmware - or just install CR Touch FW and not mess with the other FW. Not clear!
FINALLY!!! I have watched like 10 videos of how to install the CR Touch and load the software and STILL had questions. This video was great. I do have a question, though: What is the purpose of the Z offset? Does that serve as the starting point for the print head to move to before the CR touch does its thing?
Glad the video was helpful to you! I tried to make the tutorial as comprehensive as possible! The Z offset is essentially setting your Z height to get you in the ballpark for vertical positioning. The CR Touch takes care of the rest to adjust for any locations on the bed that are out of level. Hope that helps! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
Excellent video. I like how you actually installed the cable properly instead of just zip tying it to the sheath like many others. I will be installing mine next weekend!
So happy I found this video! Getting mine tomorrow and will be installing. Ender 3 v2 etched one glass bed, other one is warping and went to a flex pei bed which looks like I may of started to melt 😂 so installing a cr touch should save me a load on beds 🤣
so the only issue i am having is that when i go to move the z axis. as soon as i hit 0.0 it stops moving. its like i am not able to move to negative unless i am using the z offset. Any idea what it is?

Hi, nice stepBYstep guide sir. i installed everything in this tutorial and it just works perfectly. But if i have a filament sensor, how can i set that up ? can i use JYers f/ware ? thank you
PLEASE HELP!!! After installing my CR touch, I start printing and it performs its leveling at several points (4×4). The problem is that during this upgrade the nozzle turns off for no reason. On the other hand, the heating plate always remains hot. It's annoying because the leveling will be distorted, moreover once the leveling is done the printer does not wait for the nozzle to reach its original temperature again, and starts printing directly. Result: Unable to perform reliable printing. What should I do to solve this big problem?
Although I have an Ender 3 Pro, your guide has been excellent and answered a lot of frustrating questions that no one else got into. Particularly how to get the sensor to recognize where the proper height is by finding what the Z-offset needs to be as well as setting up Cura to do the auto-level before every print. I have one question. I was told before, that when I was leveling manually, I needed to heat up the bed and nozzle in order to get the best leveling. I have done that every time before and always got better prints. Does the CR touch need the machine heated up to set the initial level?
Hi, your video was very well presented and clear. Would you recommend replacing the springs on the underside of the table and fit solid distance pieces to help the levelling stay consistent 🤔
I wished you would tell ppl that its optional to remove the Z cable from the motherboard. Doing so risks damage to the motherboard connectors especially with the hot glue. Now my printer wouldn’t work - homing failure, and I suspect it is due to faulty connection at the motherboard.
Hello, I have a problem, when updating the printer it doesn't go past the creality screen, it doesn't load anything, it just stays on the screen and that's it.

Hi great video tutorial well done, i have a question though about the bed leveling wheels after the cr-touch install and leveling won't the springs and wheels move and would i need to manual level each time
Thanks to your video I was able to install the auto leveler however, I am not able to install the firmware. I followed all of your instructions but the firmware has C (for Cura) included in the file and it will not load in my Ender 3 2V.
Thanks, I found it pretty straight forward. I have some problems with bubbles in the letters when printing the test cube, do you have a video about that problem?
Great video and saved me alot of stress after following other tutorials. What preset do you use for an ender 3 v2 when setting up the printer in Cura? Mine looks alot different to yours
Many thanks for this, it worked first time for me. Really appreciate the time you put in to making and sharing this; the quality is above par. Some installation notes that may help others. - I left the Z end stop in place but disconnected in case I needed to reconnect. It doesn't appear to have any negative impact. - As far as the firmware update; after reading through the comments I just added the file to the root of the original SD card provided by Creality and renamed as firmware.bin. The printer picked it up fine even though all the original folders were still left on the card. Subscribed and I will be looking in to more of your upgrade recommendations. Cheers!

Glad the video was helpful to you! Like and subscribe : )
Keep that in mind.
can also effect the tightness of a changed nozzle, found this out the hard way.
Excellent video. May be worth mentioning to take note of the motherboard version while you have it apart installing the wires.
The version is printed on the board. This is useful when downloading the firmware.
Good point, thanks for the comment!
Awesome, glad you found value in the video! Thanks for the comment! :)
Thanks for the comment! Really glad that the video was helpful to you!
In my gcode the pre-heating starts after the leveling. Not before. So it's cold while doing the autoleveling
Of course! Glad the video was helpful to you :) Like and subscribe and happy printing!
Thanks again and have a nice day
Thank you Mark for your feedback! Glad the video was helpful to you and that the speed of the content worked well for you! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
This is an awesome video. I purchased an auto leveler about 6 weeks ago. I opened the box and went "nope" haha. I am not very tech savvy. This video makes it look pretty easy. I will re-watch and install on my next day off. Thank you so much!
Thanks Chris, that's awesome! I really appreciate the comment, love to hear that you found value in the video! Auto levers are definitely the way to go! Good luck with the install and let me know if you have any questions! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
Why does it start cooling down when it is executing g29
Since supposedly it saves the auto-level settings, I'm thinking to not put the auto-level code in the print gcode, but rather manually execute level before a print, then run the print.
Awesome, glad the video helped you! Thanks for the feedback! Like and subscribe and happy printing my friend!
I am having the same issue how did you fix it to get past the creality screen?
How did you solve the creality screen problem?
how did you fix it im having the same problem
I had the same issue, and I fixed by buying a new micro sd card. I think the one they gave me was corrupt.
Could I have a link to the firmware please? thanks a lot
So its just depends on the model?, it can't be that for some it works without adding anything to the .bin file and some have to add extra characters, most likely an older board model?, unless it has something to do with firmware type.
You've done me a service. The website is a little different now, but not overly complex to navigate. Thanks!
Great guide easy to follow, unlike others that miss out steps and lose you in the process, this just makes it all so simple.

@@the3dprintzone can I put like normal PLA 3D filament in 3d printing
I just want to say thank you so much I am suuuper new to 3d printing and bought the CR touch because my friend said it would make printing easier for me but became kind of overwhelmed quickly. You made this process easy and explained everything so that a newby like me could understand and I appreciate that 1000 thumbs up and a new subscriber here.
Thanks for the feedback and sub! Glad the video was helpful to you!
This was really helpful, I had 2 extra steps with the firmware: 1. format my SD card Fat32 and 4096 blocks 2. Rename the bin file to 'Firmware.bin'. Thankyou
Thank you lad! I had to do the same thing
Point taken, hadn't tried altering block settings yet. Thanks!
Thank you!! Was having the same issue for hours!

Thank you so much for this in depth guide. I've tried the BL Touch Bout a year ago but it just didn't work for me. So far, the CR Touch is working great with some minor adjustments to the Z-offset.
Finally someone take time to explain step by step thanks 😊. Question you setup the springs to the top or don’t touch?
Thank you for the instructions. I just purchased a BLTouch and am going to install it today.
Hi Dave, I really appreciate your feedback, thanks for the comment! Installing a BLTouch / CR Touch is one of the best upgrades you can do, going to save you a lot of hassle in the future! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
You still paper level first.
Thank you so much for making this video! I was scared I would brick my printer until I found your video and it made it so easy to install the CR Touch!
Glad the video was helpful to you!
Great video and easy to follow thanks.
Had an issue finding the right firmware as they changed the website around but the biggest issue was updating the firmware, Took me hours to realize the problem was the SD card not the bin file lol
where did you find the correct firmware? I haven't been able to find it
Thank you, Most video will rush through everything. I like that you did it step by step and i could follow along. Thanks

This is a great video. the dude at micro center told me this device would NOT work with the ender 3 v2
Thanks for your videos! I am new to 3D Printing, it helped me a lot.
However I feared for your SD Card reader while you where accessing the Mother Board. I strongly recommend to remove any SD Card prior to unmount the panel !
Thank you so much, this was awesome.
No problem! Glad it was helpful!
MAN until I found your video I was struggling with loading the firwrear. thank you

Great video! Very helpful. New out of box 3V2. Was going to install this, and jump through firmware updates - should I update firmware - or just install CR Touch FW and not mess with the other FW. Not clear!
Great video! Installing the CR Touch today.
Thank you T Morgan! Glad the video was helpful to you! Good luck on the install! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
Absolutely brilliant guide this, I'd have been completely lost without it! Thanks
how do you keep the bed layer on? any glue or sticker you use?
It’s magnetic 🧲 I have a video showing how I installed it
Excellent video. I like how you actually installed the cable properly instead of just zip tying it to the sheath like many others. I will be installing mine next weekend!
Thanks Alan! I appreciate the feedback. Definitely worth the extra few minutes to do the cabling the right way! Good luck, and happy printing!
Thanks a ton! I love my auto leveler and your guide was perfect for explaining how to install it. ^^
Glad it was helpful!
So happy I found this video! Getting mine tomorrow and will be installing. Ender 3 v2 etched one glass bed, other one is warping and went to a flex pei bed which looks like I may of started to melt 😂 so installing a cr touch should save me a load on beds 🤣
Helpful, though would suggest heating the bed before levelling.
so the only issue i am having is that when i go to move the z axis. as soon as i hit 0.0 it stops moving. its like i am not able to move to negative unless i am using the z offset. Any idea what it is?
I'm having this same issue and can't seem to find an answer. did you ever get it resolved?
After Auto homing, use the Z-Offest instead to adjust nozzle close to your bed. After setting that, auto home again and under Move -> Move Z going down to 0 should now be nice and close to the bed. Found this burried in the comments and it worked for me! Looks like they have updated the firmware or something and made this change. Hope this helps!

@The 3D Print Zone - great video, really helpful. Please can you let me know what hot end you're running with this? I have seen reports that the Creality Spider does not work well with the CRTouch. I would like to get an upgraded hot end but don't want to lose the functionality of the CRTouch.
Thanks for the comment! This was run with the stock Ender hot end.
@@the3dprintzone Thanks so much for the reply, I'm subscribed so if you upgrade the hot end I'll get notified. Creality themselves say their upgrade hot ends are not compatible at this point. Your video made fitting the CRTouch this weekend a breeze, thanks so much.
I have a very odd issue wiht my ender 3 v2. I have installed the BL touch and updated the firmware correctly. When I try to home it however, the z-axis goes up a little and stops. I've checked the wiring and installed other firmware but same problem. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
Hi, nice stepBYstep guide sir. i installed everything in this tutorial and it just works perfectly. But if i have a filament sensor, how can i set that up ? can i use JYers f/ware ? thank you
Very clear "How To", excellent video! Thank's
I'm on the website, and I can't find the accessory firmware
How long should it take for the firmware to install? Mine has been on the load screen for about an hour now.
I used the small hex wrench to push through the braided sleeving and push the connector through it to the other end.
Very clear step by step instruction, and good quality audio/video
Excellent video! I just bought a CR Touch and your video explains the process very well. Thanks! :)
Once installed do you need to preheat the bed to perform the leveling procedures or are they performed on a cold bed as the video. Thanks.
Hi, your video was very well presented and clear.
Would you recommend replacing the springs on the underside of the table and fit solid distance pieces to help the levelling stay consistent 🤔
Thank you very much ! Just finished the install now the test print is heating up fingers crossed it works.
Your welcome! Hope the print worked well! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
@@the3dprintzone it didn't but I did the procedure again and it worked.
Great video but my printer
wont update can you please help me update it
Thanks a bunch. Only snag i had was the mainboard was a 4.3.1 and spent 45mins to figure out that's a typo and it's a 4.2.2 board.
I wished you would tell ppl that its optional to remove the Z cable from the motherboard. Doing so risks damage to the motherboard connectors especially with the hot glue. Now my printer wouldn’t work - homing failure, and I suspect it is due to faulty connection at the motherboard.
Perfect guide. Thanks, man.
By the way of all the videos I've watched for this unit, yours has been the most helpful and informative thank you very much for that.
Hello, I have a problem, when updating the printer it doesn't go past the creality screen, it doesn't load anything, it just stays on the screen and that's it.
Excellent vidéo. I follow your video step by step and the cable management. Thank you !! For the bed leveling, I just had to adjust the bed hot and not cold for everything to work perfectly.
Glad the video was helpful to you! I am happy you were able to get the cables managed properly and that everything worked well for you! Like and subscribe and happy printing!
Do you have to have the auto level in the g code?
my cr touch seems to move up from the bed even after i set the offset, like when i start the print is does not bring it down far enough, any suggestions.
Hey! Great tutorial, very clear! How long dit you wait for the firmware to be installed? I've been waiting for at least a hour and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or should be more patient. Thanks!
Did you find a solution?
Max 45 seconds for the firmware
This helped me so much
What about your X and Y offsets? Are they included in the manual since they should be fairly universal? Thanks.
Hi great video tutorial well done, i have a question though about the bed leveling wheels after the cr-touch install and leveling won't the springs and wheels move and would i need to manual level each time
Thanks to your video I was able to install the auto leveler however, I am not able to install the firmware. I followed all of your instructions but the firmware has C (for Cura) included in the file and it will not load in my Ender 3 2V.
hey, im having the same problem, did you manage to fix it?
I assume the sonic pad wouldn't make a difference?
Cheers!
Just out of curiosity, do I have to unplug the Z axis safety switch?
Is this tutorial compatible with the Sprite Extruder?
I just have a question: When I'm doing the setup where you auto-home and did the move z, mine will only go down to 0.0 and will not go down anymore.
Excellent guide. All seems to be working but my filament isn’t sticking to the Ender glass bed. I washed in in Dawn dish soap and water. Maybe I need some glue.
dont wash it
So after initial set up it should just auto level by itself everytime ? or do i have to change my Zs before every print ?
Thanks, I managed to set it up in one go using your video.
As an aside, I forgot how much effort it takes to install stuff on the Ender :/
