Hey Todd we are anxious up here in the far north to get out and detect. Snow still on the ground. I think that is a coin for sure. Great save!
Absolutely a fun time. What a great day. You could spend days there. Great video Todd. Thanks for the adventure.
You bet my friend.
Yay another great adventure with amazing finds. You have no idea what your adventures to for this old lady. May God bless you and your family so that you have many many adventures.
Thank you so much! Hate you have been a long time fan and I always look forward to reading your comments. Stay blessed!
Some great finds there. Love the button variety and if that coin is a Farthing, that would be a very old coin indeed. Great hunt Todd
Wow that is amazing. I would love an old permission like that. Great finds man.
True history seeker battling with frozen earth. Let's say farthing. Absolutely no hint of a shank. It's amazing something from the 1600's can still be found. Great effort!
Glad you enjoyed it Lynne. I do find another coin near there, a 1758 Pistareen so coins at this site are very old. If not a Farthing, I don't know what else it could be. It's definitely not a button and the weight and size fits the British Farthing as does the material it's made from. I just wish I could make out some identifying detail but from what I've researched, details on these thin coins are rarely ever found. I can always dream right? LOL
In the title picture I thought you found Oreo Cookies!😂😂 Great finds and thanks for the info!!!👍👍
I recently uploaded a Short digging up chocolate coins as a joke. 😂
Awesome finds thank you for sharing
Todd, that looked exhausting digging in frost and ice, especially one handed. I never knew what a farthing was, I learned something new once again from you. Loved the buttons and buckles. Awesome hunt.👏👍😀
Thanks 👍 I had sent the photo out to some coin experts and this is what the consensus was. I had never heard of a Farthing either. The photos are what was sent to me. Is it? Can’t prove it without an identifying mark but with the weight and size and color, this is what was given me so I would say it’s legitimate as anything else. I do find my 1758 Reale near it and found that other 1600’s coin. In spite of the difficulty in digging I was pleased at what was found that day for sure. Thanks for sharing
Awesome hunt Todd and some really great finds.I enjoyed your video and good luck.God bless you all.
Glad you enjoyed it Jimmy. I just love this site and my best coin yet was found here and will be a future video. It’s my best coin find ever!
Very cool finds Todd. Thanks for the up close look at the artifacts and taking the time to present your information with respect....I love the series by the way!
Nice buttons Todd, I don't like digging in frozen or Hard ground It's a lot of work , but it can be worth it .
You got that right! The ground was hard like cement and just wore me out.
Wow, you have some great permissions. Enjoyed watching and thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much Roger. I lucked into this one.
Another very nice hunt!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!!! I love all of the buttons!!! Great finds!!! God Bless!!!
Thanks so much Lori! I pull a lot of coins from this site in upcoming episodes including my best silver yet, a 1758 Reale.
Can't wait!!!
Excellent finds! If a farthing, could be an oldest of your finds?? Where there's one, there's more!!! Fingers crossed!👍🏻
Could be. I think it is. I have hundreds of buttons and a broad array of rivets and none look like this not match the size and weight. I do find a silver at this site almost as old. I just dug it a week ago.
Hello from Knoxville my friend. Sorry I’m late watching today pulmonary rehab day. Great video and a great place to hunt. I really enjoyed watching. Stay safe say hello to the family for me.
Thanks, you too! I hope things improve my friend. We all either struggle or will struggle with our health. Mine isn’t good either sadly.
Todd you really sounded tuckered out great video thanks
Oh boy Tom that ground was like chopping up concrete. I did real well considering I had to pick and choose the targets given I couldn’t dig them all. I was whipped!
Spud bars are kind of heavy I think I would favor a pickaxe
yep...pick axe would certainly have worked but 6 inches of ice felt like concrete...LOL
Todd,
That one thing in the back "looks" like a straight razor.
I hope that is a Farthing.
You need a pickaxe for that kind of ground:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Hey Rik it’s my favorite site. I go back here many more times and find more coins but last week I find a 1758 Reale there.
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives Wow!!!
I'd keep hunting there 😉 bet you missed something spectacular 😊 I got a similar Copper as my first coin of the year, it's wiped but I do believe it's a coin 😁 we may never know 😅 HH and take care 🙂
I do and find my Reale nearby.
