Brian seems like he's very knowledgeable about older stuff. Your shows are very well done. Really enjoy watching.
Thoroughly enjoyed it Todd and Bryan’s contribution was an asset.
Love the history you feature in your videos. Lots of Metal Detecting channels out there and all they feature is just stuff. Your channel really brings out the significance of these old sites. Well done!
Loved the video. Bryan loves history too from listening to him. Really enjoyed the show
Wow Todd, congratulations on the crotal bell! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing historical site with us. Every time you go on an adventure, I learn something more and more about our history! Have a great day my friend!!
Todd,
You keep them because they are a "riveting " example of history:)
New detector + well searched area= Crotal Bell.
Besides the Bell, the tokens were of interest to me, I would never have known their history ,thanks Brian:)
My Mom and Dad remembered the depression, Dad 1909, Mom 1916.
I know it was 20th not 18th Century, but still an important part of our story as a nation.
Cheers,
Rik
Hey Rik thanks for the comment buddy.
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives you deserve great comments
Nice hunt at a great house. Cool finds. Nice adventure 😊
What an absolutely beautiful area. Love the videos. Hope you keep them coming for many years. It’s quite a ministry for those of us who refuse to watch the trash on television and UA-cam today. 😊😊😊
Thanks for the kind words. Feel free to check out the 228 videos on my channel. Unfortunately I am dialing the channel back as it has taken so much time of my life.....it is a big commitment.
I’m looking forward to the house tour video. Looks like a wonderful old house!
Loved the video. Enjoyed the history. The Crotal Bell is awesome but the token was something special.
You always find the most beautiful land to detect, one of the reasons I enjoy your videos.and all the cool stuff you find. Tfs
Glad you like them!
Let me tell you sir. You have absolutely bypassed the capabilities of your old friend, well, I can’t remember his name, but it was the skunk, or the scoot, or the skeet, or something like a chigger, with your entertainment capability, storytelling, editing, in general. It is your all in love for history and lack of self preservation.
Thanks Gordon....what comes around goes around I feel....and yet he still has fans.
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectivesAnd there is nothing wrong with that. We will all face our maker, one day, and God knows nothing but truth.
Great video Todd! There has to be another sweet spot or two on that land somewhere regardless if it has been detected before or not. Loved the blacksmithing history tidbit and tokens. Thanks for sharing.
I agree, gotta be....
Another great hunt. That s a beautiful place.
Great job guys lots of love from West Virginia ❤️🙂
Todd, you ended up with a cool crotal bell and a token, better than getting skunked. Looked like you did a lot of digging. Nice Brian came for a bit and found a few things aw sweet. Loved your back story of the family and the cemetery headstones. Keep having fun. Oh, I found a 1942 shear cent metal detecting last weekend. 👍😀👏
Thanks 👍 Twins.....Crotal Bells are my favorites though I've only found 2. I would rather find them than Large Cents at this point....LOL
That was interesting
Beautiful place Todd. It may have been detected before. But they sure missed a lot. And I’m sure there is plenty more. Bc I feel they don’t get over every single inch of the place.
I agree Tony. Lots of land there and lots of potential.
Yup
Nice finds, especially the crotal bell.
Hey Nick thanks....maybe there is one in the field by that building.....
Todd those reins guides go on either the collar or the hams on the rigging . A lot of the rings you find are rein guides also most them went on the hams .
Hey Kenny thanks buddy.
That’s a RUMBLE BELL and a RAIN TERRET in England .
Interesting.
I wonder if any blacksmith would had thought that 200 years later we would dig up and marvel at things he made.
or 200 years later Bryan still can make them.....and he does.
Hello from Knoxville my friend. Enjoyed the video and I learned something new today. Stay safe and say hello to the family for me.
Thanks, you too!
Na ja die Funde sind bescheiden
Die Geschichte des Hauses war Interessant 👍
Greetings from Brandenburg 🇩🇪 Udo
Cheers friend!!
You found some nice things. i especially liked the bell. We live about 50 miles from Jefferson county Illinois. My dad was born there. There is a nice museum in Mount Vernon.
Interesting...This old patriot is buried there in an unmarked grave. His son is there too....be cool to visit there some day.
It is interesting . My grandfather's grandmother was in an unmarked grave. They always told us it was by a big pine tree, but it was struck by lightning and burned , so no one ever found it. Now a farmer owns the land and put up a gate and won't let anyone go in there.
Great hunt love the bell hope to find one this year it’s a bucket lister of mine God Bless and happy dirt fishin…Virgil
I've only found 2 ever....I think they are much harder finds than old Large Cents.
Wow that crazy isn’t it I hope to find a large copper this year also God Bless and happy dirt fishin..Virgil
found some history.
Thanks for the great videos Todd.
Can I ask what model of Minelab you are using?
Thanks,
Doug in NC
Hey Doug you bet. Equinox 800
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives Thank you. I’ve been detecting for about 20 years with Tesoro’s. I’ve dug a lot of relics over those years with them, but I think I’m ready to give something more modern and try. 👍
