this video was done with the purpose of proving that a brand new original part came bad from factory and when I called to tell them he the drum that I bought is bad and yeap the answer was it not possible sowwwwww made a small video proving that even new original parts can fail from out of the box remember always do proper test to prevent doble work hope it helps after rebuilt unit worked perfect and vehicle was delivered finally to the customer.

I just had the same situation and made a test plug. It holds if I plug the bleed hole with my finger but you can’t do that with the drum on the pump.

just ran into this same problem. i installed a brand new loaded drum part #24298742 on a stator with early rotating rings, had almost no apply for both clutches. old drum sealed ok. when i put it on a newer non rotating stator both clutches applied perfect.

That is not a leak , your 3-5r clutch set has air bleed on the bottom of the drum. That is normal to get some air leaking. For the bottom clutch set which contains your 1,2,3,4 clutches you should not here any leaks.
