I would definitely love a longer form world coin hunt video, I don't collect coins so some of these designs are really cool to see.
Same here. Love foreign coin hunts.
Noted!
@@RobFindsTreasure Thanks Rob! It would be fun & Interesting (for us foreign coin collectors) to make some longer videos with foreign coins. :)
Now this is my bread and butter! World coins were how I got to collecting in the first place-this is great stuff!
Love watching you do World Coins !
I would love a deeper dive into world coins with longer videos. I think I’ve watched every coin hunt video (that wasn’t a live stream) since mid-2019 when I first jumped on board. As much as I enjoy the hunts through Lincoln cents and Jefferson nickels, one does get a little burnt out on occasion. World coin hunts offer a fun change of pace from time to time, as there are so many beautiful designs out there. Would also like to see your Great Britain collection someday as well. I’m doing a British penny collection myself, as I love the design (and size) of the old pre-decimal penny. Also love the crowns from the Victorian era. There are a fun alternative to collecting Morgan dollars. 🙂
You got a really good deal on this lot!
*Searching and be amazed by foreign coin hunt? That's my cup of tea! :)*
It was definitely fun. Longer format for this would be appreciated, but this was still a fun video.
It would be cool to see how many different countries you have next time you do one of these. I also collect every Canadian coin I find and all the Euro coins. I’m trying to get a coin from every country on earth and I’m past 130 countries
World coins have so many different designs. It's like looking at art on some coins and walking through history. Great Hunut I would love to see more world coins videos.
Lots of fun stuff in that group of World coins... I like the CSA Cent Restrikes, those are fun and look to be the 1961 Bashlow restrikes made from transfer dies made from the original dies, pretty popular and have some value 👍
Think it would be neat to see a world coin video
Thanks, Rob! This is one of my favourite things to do - you never know what gem you're going to find in a world coin lot. And for only 25 dollars, you only need to find one or two gems!
Would love to see a detailed world coin video
Rip 2023 a fun year watching rob look at coins and bank notes
Love world coins, Especially older ones. Can be real interesting stuff to look up and learn.
A closer look at some of the different designs would be a fun video.
I just opened a ten pound box of world coins. It’s an adventure.
I like the quick hunt for special oldies and silver. 😀 You got some nice find there. Love your knowledge on the foreign coins 👍🏻
Very nice purchase. Congratulations finding silver. Interesting coins.
I love those 19th century British coins. The George IIIs are especially cool!
The copper 1806 is a farthing or one quarter penny, good find
Rob, I just want to thank you for making videos. You have been a big part of my coin collecting journey. I’ve watched every video since 2021. Thank you brother😊
Those Confederate restrikes are known as Bashlow restrikes made from the original cancelled dies, and they do have some value to them, maybe $20-50
Great Video Rob! Would love to see a longer hunt. I find the different world coin designs fascinating.
I bought a bag of foreign coins to look for silver and end up with a 1990 South African silver kugaran. $300. 😜 never underestimate the power of foreign currency.
Several coins in this lot are still legal tender in the country they were struck for. The Switzerland coins are an example. A Swiss Franc is worth about $1.18 today, so that 5 franc coin is worth about $6. A Euro is worth about $1.10. Even some of the coins from countries which converted to the Euro are still exchangeable for Euros.
I've accumulated a lot of world coins, not for collector value, but for protection in case the dollar drops in value, or I take a trip out of the country.
I love world coins, that was a good price you paid
Small information is still good information. Thanks Rob
Yes, I would enjoy a more thorough video. I have my own pile of foreigns.
I am getting a World Coin Bag myself soon! It's a Christmas gift!
Those are really cool. I found a book foreign coins at a yard sail and it was full of silver/ uncirculated 1920s Canadian coins!
Nice finds! It's always good to have a little change of pace👍
I found a 1950 Canadian dime in the coin star machine recently. The oldest foreign coin I have is a 1762 Zeelandia coin which is paperthin. I also have a larger version of that 1806 King George copper. Found an 1893 silver six pence in a machine rolled Loomis roll one time.
Lucked out with that silver! Super cool old stuff. Great video Rob! 👽🤙🏻
Yummy foreigns 😋
Might want to pull out the 2002 Italian 1 Euro coin that I saw in the bucket. I usually pull those on my world coin searches on the off chance I travel there again.
Awesome video nice world coin finds thanks for sharing Rob
That was a fantastic mix Rob! Nice score! I haven't gone through world coin lots in ages.
Thank you brother!
I’d do those deals all day long, Rob. Good finds
Excellent purchase! This shows the difference between buying a bag like this from a LCS or other local dealer instead of from some online source. You'll never get a deal like this online. Before I viewed the video, I thought "If he's lucky, he might get 1-2 small silver coins". Just the 1806 token almost made the purchase worthwhile by itself. The 1603 shilling is worth over $4 just in silver value. And the Pony Express token has some silver in it (not sure how much) and is worth at least a few dollars. You probably got more than your money's worth just from these 3 coins. There were some current legal tender coins (Canada, Switzerland, Japan) and if you know where to go you can get for these around half of the conversion value here in the US w/o having to travel to all these countries and that would be at least several more dollars. And you could resell all of the coins you dont want back to some dealer for at least $3/pound. I would ask your dealer for another of these bags!
Yes, please. Would love to see some other videos with the different world coins.
I think a longer video would be great. Still have some that I have no clue to what they are. Did find a 1893 Hawaii quarter dollar in the bag. Still need to find someone to authenticate it though. You never know what you'll come across!
Would love to see a Roman coin cleaning/hunt video. It's something I just got into myself recently and it's very enjoyable, though it is definitely a process and not as easy as modern hunts. Even if you don't make a video out of it, it's something I'd definitely recommend doing.
I'm glad to see you found some cool silver foreign coins Rob, Awesome video
Yes, that was interesting. I bought a small lot of foreign coins before Christmas. They are all silver (widely varied in composition) dating from the mid 1800's to the ww2 era. I was going to give them as a Christmas present, but after looking at a few of them, I decided that I needed them. 😊 Now when I have some time I'll sit down and research a few. The artwork is beautiful on some of them, and it's fun to find out what the asw is.
I'd watch a more detailed video on world coins. That looks like a lot of fun.
Yes definitely would like to see a longer in depth video!! Thank you
MERRY CHRISTMAS, UNSTOPPABLE ROB!!!!!!!
Very cool!! 400+ year old coin?? That would be so cool to own/find!!
Big bags of world coins are so much fun! Especially if you know they haven’t been looked through
World coins are always fun to go through, but can def take a long time. Thanks for sharing, you had some good stuff that made the purchase worth it at least, congrats!
That would be awesome I can't wait till you do the videos 👍
I like your batches of silver videos the most. It's all silver and shorter with more varieties. The 1950d ever show up?
Yes let’s do it ! great video
Love the silver!
Rob, definitely would love to see a more detailed world coin hunt! Keep the great videos coming!
Wassup Rob, Nother great vid. I would like to see a longer format of this type of hunt tbh.
Also i would buy your Soviet coins, i do collect those. ;)
The 1806 George 3rd is a farthing, or quarter of a penny. 1806 was the only year of mintage for that design and monarch
It's perfect for me because I'm a world coin collector
The 1806 Irish Farthing in that condition would easily be a £10+ coin here in the UK Rob & the d in the 1/4d on the flip is the old British way denoting a penny.
So is that a 1/4 penny (one fourth)?
@@toddlower5546 Yes it is & the last one was issued by Ireland in 1966 as part of a set. The last UK farthing was minted in 1956 & demonetized in 1960.
Correct. The d for penny is a holdover from the Roman Occupation and stands for denarius, which actually started out as a silver piece, but debasement is a centuries old tradition.
I admit I buy world coins a fair bit, it is fun for me.
got the 555th like and I know how you like 5s..lol. Love the world coin vid. I'm starting to amass a little world coin collection myself. Pretty neat stuff. Thanks for a twist on things. Keep up the great stuff Rob.
My wife just got me world coin set for Christmas brother
For your penny hunts I think you should pull aside all S minted ones from 1968-1974 just to show how many you get since they’re way less abundant in circulation than the Philadelphia and Denver mint
I always do this
Cool world coin bag Rob, thanks for sharing brother 👍
i love world coins
Very interesting hunt Rob! Thanks for sharing this unique hunt! Happy Hunting! Stephen
It would be awesome to see a few different videos on the world coins. Would be great if you had any low mintage, rare or whatever in there!! 🤘
Right on Rob!
I think that Mexican 1 peso coin may have some silver
There sure was a lot of goodies in that bag. Not bad for $25.
I got a key date 1895 Farthing that has wonderful toning.
When are you going to update us on the mango, 6 avocados and some of the apples? I know you’ve been busy. But I’m curious to know how they are doing, especially the avocados.
I know it’s weird commenting on your other channel about this topic.
some cool stuff
Fun hunt Rob 👍 neat to see the old stuff & SILVER 🤓
@ RobFindsTreasure
8:10 The 1 francs 1968 is in copper-nickel. The swiss 1/2 francs till 1967 are in 835 silver. 1968 or later in copper-nickel. The 5 swiss francs coin (keep it because it's over 5 dollar face value) would be in 835 silver till 1967 or 1969 (not 1968) or 1968 and 1960 and later in copper-nickel (i live in Switzerland).
Rob, please do deeper research on your Soviet coins, they might be the Holy Grail, if they're genuine. If there was internet and your videos in 1985 when I was kid, I'd never exchanged my 1909 S 1 cent coin for 1954 D one...I never saw that coin again, it might have been "VDB" one...
Yes sir that would be awesome video
Always buy these rob
Nice video. Good enough! :)
Thanks for the video!
I need help to stop watching these they are too good
You shouldn’t!
Rob, just at a glance, that flip with the "unknown" coin looks like pvc.
epic AF ole sport! that looks like a lot of fun!
Great
Fun video! & you're sounding great; enthusiastic & energetic.👍 I would definitely watch a video showing each coin! *(Found a 1950 10Pfennig in nickel roll last week❗️)
Would love to see world coin Numista walk through.
Actually Rob, the one farthing from 1920 actually has King George the FIFTH, not SIXTH. Great video though!
Im excited
I'm surprised you didn't save off the Soviet coins at the end.
I meant to.
Am I mistaken or are the video showing 1970 Soviet coins from the mint set? They have a pretty good price (obviously more than the rest of this pile - namely 5, 15, 20, 50 kopecks and a ruble). I think that you can find a collector of Soviet coins in America and sell them profitably.
irish 1806 1/4d is a quarter penny, or farthing
Too bad there wasn't any Canadian large cents in there! Those are my one of my favorites
I like them too!
Very cool! Just a question, do you do "fanmail"
9:17 I think that’s King George V
What website did you use to look up those coins
It's not gonna do you any good finding foreign silver, Rob. You can find some Greek .835, some Dutch .90, some Canadian .90, some Mexican .720 and some Panama .925. A few British coins. Most countries as you know deleted silver from coinage around the time the US did in 1965. But even before then, most foreign silver was 50% or below and can't be economically extracted.
You don’t have to extract it. Can be traded/sold as is
Nothing could be further from the truth. There are many dealers that will give you at least around 85% of the melt value of the silver in foreign coins, even the ones w lower fineness, like 50% and 40%.
@@jazznik2Exactly right sir
@@jazznik2 Refer me to one, if you have a name, please.
@@alanpecherer5705 I have no idea what area you are in. Just look around or consult w dealers at coin shows. It wont take you long to find one. I've been selling foreign silver to a dealer in my area for many years.
I absolutely love world coins.Would yo. Be interesyed in selling the lot(mius what you want to keep)? Please let me know if you do.Thanks for an awesome video.I hope you do more of the world coin videos.Wishing you a safe and Happy New Year.
Absolutely, and what’s numista?
I like bread
I enjoyed your Video :) QC
I’m finding so many error quarters lately, how do you price and sell them?
