China is the Best Country in the World now ... They are so much change now in all sagmen .. Good goverment + good comunity + amazing build in everything specially in Economy ... Amazing ❤😊🎉😊😊🎉😊😊🎉😊😊🎉
yes .... indeed .... that´s my opinion, too as a german - i think its the MOST dangerous question for the whole west which they avoid the most: Witch system serves the people most ? ..... and we all know the answer - communist china has won the race, because they mixed both systems together - for all the basic needs like logistic, groceries, good infrastructure, good schools, cheap and green electricity, water supply, ecologic development they used communism to give all a base on which the people can thrive in an individual more capitalistic way - its like: We made all the environment for you and now its your turn to build up your life in it !
Lijiang is so high on my “to visit” list. I’ve been in China for 3 years and still haven’t had the chance to explore this beautiful area. Thanks for sharing! ❤
@20:25 Those are actually calligraphy of the Traditional Chinese which is still commonly used (officially) in some parts of Southern China like Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and many China Towns in many countries. So, many Chinese from those regions can actually read those writings hanging on the wall. It looks a bit different than the Simplified Chinese used in the major parts of China nowadays. The whole China used to use Traditional Chinese prior 1950s, before the Simplified Chinese was standardized by the PRC to promote literacy. That is why the writings (Traditional Chinese) on most historical buildings/architectures look a little different than the daily used Simplified Chinese throughout most of the Chinese cities you travelled. The Chinese who learned Traditional Chinese can easily read Simplified Chinese but not the vice versa. The Tomba script (Dongba) you mentioned looks like symbols, it's a type of hieroglyph
absolutely LOVE IT !!!! ...... but you have to come back again, because at nigth this is a different place - you said this place is romantic - well look at it at nigth with all the ligths on in different colours ..... and pleeeeeeeeeaaase 50 min again - i promise they will be worth it ! 💙💙💙
Ok, I just put Lijiang on my bucket list. China's ancient towns are just so beautiful. I must make a note to visit in October after National holiday so it's not crazy busy. We were in China end of August to mid September and it was boiling hot. We visited Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan Island (was there when Typhoon Yagi hit the island), Chongqing and Zhangjiajie. I plan to go back to China next year and every year lol. So much to see in China!
Sunscreen is very important, something we learnt on this trip 😅 trying to stay away from drinks whilst in Yunnan, we’re going further north and try to acclimatise m, hopefully no altitude sickness 😂
The drain water is very clear from the mountain. Lijiang had one popular Lijiang Naxi song. They used to have a group of people dressed in tribal blue/white clothing dancing to that song.
Thank-you lovely couple for creating and sharing yet another amazing video clip. It is always a joy watching each of your video clip. Have a nice enjoyable trip. Looking forward to your next clip. Take care🍻
✨ @33:33 it's not artwork.....it's Ancient Language. Really! @33:41, end of wall, it says "Guess the word wall." ~~ Night lights of Lijiang is Heaven on Earth !!! 💜💜
Love this episode. The old town, especially the 40 RMB place, is stunningly beautiful and historical. Thank you, Libby and Taz, for another fun filled, joyous, and educational experience to be shared. 👍👍👍
Come to North east of China, beautiful season of autumn, see the mountain flowing red leaf, eating BBQ beef buffet, taking a hot water bath and sauna. What a refreshing maverick. Come to Weichang manchu mongol autonomous county in Chengde, Hebei Province, not far from Beijing, Take a long ride bus for few hours, please hurry, after 2 weeks when highest temperature of the day is blow freezing, all golden red leaf will fell off.
Have you guys been to Pingyao in Shanxi province? It’s an ancient town in north, it’s not just for tourists, people are still living there, you’ll get a totally different vibe. There’re so much to see in Shanxi province, 23 of 30 something scenes in recently super hot video game Black Myth Wukong are in Shanxi Province (山西)。
I have been to Lijiang many years ago. I remember Lijiang old town had many bars which had live bands in the evening. All the alleyways were very crowded. I bought a hand-made scarf with seven different colour straps. Because it kept reminding me of a beautiful song called 彩云之南 which means Yunnan is supposed to be situated at south of colorful clouds.
The "Mixue Couple" is very famous in China now. You inspired me to drink Mixue when I returned to China one month ago. Mixue is really a good and cheap drink.😀
What you visited was the "木府", not the emperor's palace, but the Tusi House, also called the General House, which was the official residence of local officials. The characters on the walls of the mansion are Chinese characters, not Dongba characters.
Yunnan is famous for it's two main produce such as Black-tea and Ham. I had never been there sadly to say. But from your video, I failed to see any shop selling or displaying this two products, unless your camera omitted to point at them! Enjoy your travel .
Haha, Chinese really like taking photos. I originally thought MuFu is for another Mu (沐), which was king'd by Emperor Zhu YuanZhang when Ming dynasty was founded and the king crown lasted to Qing dynasty. Then it cannot be built in Yuan dynasty, it should be Ming dynasty instead. But it turned out to be really for Mu(木),a local King for minority groups. It is surprise to see a local king for minority built MuFu like Forbidden city which represents main Chinese culture. Very good vlog. Looking forward to the Vlog for the snow mountain! Also,Two Mad Explorers failed to reach Tiger Leaping Gorge due to bad weather, hope you can make it smoothly.
I was told that very light snowflakes actually did fall a few rare times because of the altitude of the place in some January. It is rare but it happened
Yes, this is rural China. It has many ancient towns across the country the Chinese people go out of their ways to preserve their cultural heritage. China also has some of the most beautiful landscape and sceneries on the planet.
In another month, if you are still in China, I strongly recommend you to visit the snow town in Heilongjiang, the most beautiful snow in China! Super beauty! Because it's already snowing there
dogba writing word at your 33.32 video on the wall lijang old town very beautiful at night you will love it with all light and so many live music bar totally different like day time
you're the first I've seen to explore mu mansion. I think most people see the entry fee and skip it because the smaller side attractions can be a miss more often than not 😂. naxi writing is really hieroglyphic, I mean like old egyptian style with drawings so the characters you saw on the wall in the mu mansion was just chinese calligraphy. you did pass up naxi text on the wall but you thought it was wall art 😅
We think the fee they charge for the tickets is reasonable plus the mansion is incredible inside with so much history, defo a 10/10 experience and we recommend it to everyone 👍🏻
I hope you have been drinking rhodiola continuously before you go to Tibet. That can resist altitude sickness.(You can buy it in pharmacies all over the country)
@@sunkissedbucketlist Next time you come to China, you can plan to visit the Northeast. On December 20 th, Harbin Ice and Snow World opened, snow town in Heilongjiang is also good. North Korea tourism will also be open in December, You can also stop by North Korea. and have a good trip!
You guys walked pass a wall full of dong ba script and missed it. It is a wall that you might have thought are graffiti but are actually dong ba script. It is the wall before you guys came to princess naxi milk tea shop.

We just went to Lijiang and Shangri-La last month. They were very beautiful. The bars in the ancient town of Lijiang are very interesting.

been there in 2019, it was a unique beautiful town
Very beautiful and comfortable city
We agree 👍🏻
What you visited was the "木府", not the emperor's palace, but the Tusi House, also called the General House, which was the official residence of local officials. The characters on the walls of the mansion are Chinese characters, not Dongba characters.

Lijiang old town is much bigger than Dali old town. You should buy some local coffee there. Yunnan coffee is very famous in China❤
But I think the scenery in Erhai Lake in Dali is better.
