- Hi Guys!
This is my review of the Team shoes from 5.10. I have to say, the more I have used the shoes the better they have become, but there is definitely an aggressive breaking in period.
If you have any questions just drop a comment below and I will get back to you with an answer!

So you use these on Residential Roofs? Like on Asphalt Shingles?
Ahaha no no. Roof climbing refers to a style of rock climbing where you are mainly upside down.
😂😂😂
How do they compare to the Chimera's? Had an old pair of teams and fancy a similar set again but have been looking at the Scarpa equivalents.
Could you review the 5.10 Team VXi? Thanks
Kai Cao I will once I get my hands on a pair!
Which one would you recommend for gym bouldering? I thought the teams were a good option
The best shoe is the one that fits you best! If these fit you well (width, toe box etc) then get a pair and try them out! A lot of people end up trying lots of different shoes (myself being one of them) before they settle on a pair they find the best.
Well i'm asking because i use arrowheads and they're pretty awesome on the rock; i love them, they fit etc. BUT they're not great in the gym and they're not cheap either. That's why im planning to leave them for outdoors. I thought teams would be good for gym and could last more in that eviroment.
One thing is that they do not have that much rubber. If I remember correctly it is 2.5mm. That is not that much and they will penalise you for bad footwork. However, they have lasted longer than my Futuras indoors!
On of my mates bought a new pair of these, one month later he had a big fat hole in the toe. He's a very good climber and has reasonably precise footwork but the rubber is just super soft which translates into bad durability. Another person who I climb with had his rip while climbing on some sharp volcanic rock
They are pretty damn soft, and the rubber isn't that thick. However, I have had my pair since September of last year. Granted, I do not use them every session, but they haven't got a hole in them yet!
