- Same day report on the first Supersonic jet service from London & Paris to arrive in the U.S. at Dulles in Washington DC. Peter Jennings was onboard the British Airways flight as it soon reached a speed of Mach 2. The Concorde's final flight from NYC's JFK Airport to London's Heathrow took place on October 24, 2003.
Yanks were so jealous
Hey it really couldn’t have been done consistently without our approval, supersonic is coming back by the end of this decade led by United
@@mesocorny4366The boom overture rip off hasn't even been built yet. America tried back then to create a copy and it never set foot off the tarmac. Concorde was ahead of its time.
@mesocorny4366 How sad that you believe Concorde would not have existed without American approval. And in regard to your SST attempt. No engine manufacturer is interested in producing for your plane. That says alot.
of who? The red Sox?
@@mesocorny4366 Would miraculously got approval if the Boeing SST had worked and gone into service
Queen of the Skies I wonder had our US SST received as much attention as Concorde did would it have mattered Imagine the 2707-300 or Lockheed L-2000 on their maiden flight to Europe
Yanks didn't have an SST, just a mock-up and a lot of hot air. The Yanks destroyed Concorde's publicity deliberately with the faked moon landing, which is what it was designed to do and its one and only purpose. Concorde's maiden flight and the "moon landing" were only months apart.
Kennedy's ridiculously childish speech "we choose to go to the moon etc" was born out of his anger that America would "look like a backward nation", he says exactly that in a phone call in 1963. His solution to this was to fake a moon landing.
The Boeing SST was more fakery as was the "Valkyrie".
The British Vulcan bomber in the 1950's and the Concorde were miles ahead of everything else and the US was terrified of the Public attention on Concorde, realising that they would lose most transatlantic capable aircraft sales overnight.
This is the real story behind the faked moon landing and all subsequent space fakery.
The 747 was a lumbering converted cargo plane that set transatlantic flight back 50 years.
Concorde was real. everything else was fake. ua-cam.com/video/-Wx6npt421c/v-deo.html
The food sounded a lil over the top. I would have been the 1st on board to join the Concorde mile high club 😅
all done without the European Union
