RTE Six One News report (11 June 2024) about the upcoming RTE Investigates documentary "Horses: Making a Killing".
The programme will expose shocking cruelty and killing in Ireland's horse racing industry.
Watch “RTÉ Investigates: Horses - Making a Killing” this Wednesday, 12 June 2024 at 9.35pm on RTÉ 1.
The programme will feature "unbelievably distressing" hidden camera footage filmed at a Department of Agriculture-approved horse slaughterhouse.
A follow-up special report will be broadcast on the Prime Time programme the following evening, Thursday 13 June, at 9.35pm on RTÉ 1.

Since 2001, the Irish Government has granted €1.38 Billion of scarce public funds to horse racing
Contact the Taoiseach, Tanaiste and Finance Minister and demand an end to state funding to this gambling activity which causes so much suffering and death. Tell them to redirect the funds to the many deserving charities, health/homeless/environmental groups, sports clubs, animal rescue centres, etc crying out for funding.
