It's because in the track there's another take of her singing the chorus as a backup vocal. Instead of rushing to get to the next line, she just skips to, "live without me." It's easier on the voice and makes for a better performance. It's not to disappoint the crowd it's a preservation of breath to hit the next note without strain, and a cleaner performance.

Don't really understand the hype around these Live Lounges; I've heard so many people raving about it saying how good they all are. I've heard a few and in my opinion, they were all pretty bad. This, on the other hand is amazing. She has such an amazing voice both in the polished/finished version, and Live too, which is quite rare these days.
It really depends on the artist, but for some they improve on the original track by adding a bit of live flair and you get the real soulful performance too :)

Okay, I’m a Halsey fan, HOWEVER, for the people wanting clarification on the “auto-tune” debate, here it is: This is NOT Auto-Tune. It’s a live tool called Melodyne. It’s a subtle pitch correction tool that adds a metallic filter to the notes. A lot of artists use it, and as a music fan, I personally don’t mind it. The original Without Me has FULL BLOWN auto tune, which again is fine. Stylistically, the melodyne sounds awesome on this acoustic version. She has improved so much, and I sincerely enjoyed the raw energy she provided with amazing LIVE filtered production. Appreciate the style. If you can’t, exit the app or switch to your type of live music. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk ❤️
Its auto tune, auto tune is just another name for pitch correction, melodyne is an auto tuning software so yeah she is auto tuned 👌 not a hater either.
Melodyne does not have a mode for live performances. Even tho this is Live Lounge they do post production before uploading it to UA-cam so it most likely is Melodyne.

She sounds amazing live. All the editing in her usual music background I think makes her songs worse. Deconstruct it. Break it down. I bet her acoustic record would sell more than a legit album.
Nessers she also did a killer acoustic on Bad at Love. I didn’t know she had those kind of vocals. I do enjoy the acoustic raw versions without all of the aesthetics as opposed to the ones with all of the bells and whistles. Both are great, however, and better than anything out right now. I just prefer Halsey this way.
The thing is I know Halsey can get pitchy and doesn’t have the best technique, but I always feel her raw emotions singing and that’s what matters more sometimes than someone who is technical.

Okay, I’m a Halsey fan, HOWEVER, for the people wanting clarification on the “auto-tune” debate, here it is:
This is NOT Auto-Tune. It’s a live tool called Melodyne. It’s a subtle pitch correction tool that adds a metallic filter to the notes. A lot of artists use it, and as a music fan, I personally don’t mind it. The original Without Me has FULL BLOWN auto tune, which again is fine. Stylistically, the melodyne sounds awesome on this acoustic version. She has improved so much, and I sincerely enjoyed the raw energy she provided with amazing LIVE filtered production. Appreciate the style. If you can’t, exit the app or switch to your type of live music. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk ❤️

I have a major crush on this women.
So almost 9 month since my wife left me. This song helped me so much after those first few weeks. My ex wanted me to be a stay at home dad, so I left my career and did. After a 3 yrs, she decided that we were done.
I was jobless and left in the wind co confused and desperate.
Things are getting better but I’m still without employment and hurting.
Last January I found out my wife was seeing someone else she waited till my payday to tell me she wanted to build a life with him left me penny less I left on the weds the day after he was in my bed I know your pain .. 12months on got a new lady in my life who basically saved me from self distruct mode in a good place now the pain has died but the hate towards them is still present & will be for some time I think

She sounds amazing live. All the editing in her usual music background I think makes her songs worse. Deconstruct it. Break it down. I bet her acoustic record would sell more than a legit album.
Nessers she also did a killer acoustic on Bad at Love. I didn’t know she had those kind of vocals. I do enjoy the acoustic raw versions without all of the aesthetics as opposed to the ones with all of the bells and whistles. Both are great, however, and better than anything out right now. I just prefer Halsey this way.
