Still here! Young man you have given me such a TBR, Spider-man and Batman have been my childhood likes, again, been away so long it is overwhelming to jump in on any of these stories. Getting over what I perceive as comics maintain continuity and accepting that some writers present these characters from different perspectives, strorylines, etc...Currently reading Descender and really enjoying the story, the art in Descender is IMO, for me, is just ok, not spectacular as some rave about, though the story is compelling and really interesting. I am a slower reader as I like to digest the story and images to get a more mental idea, or, feeling of what is going on, much like a collection of short stories, I cannot just breeze through them, consuming one after another. Anyhoo, I'm here enjoying your uploads and continuously adding to my already incredible TBR list. Where I go from Descender, I won't know until I do, I have 100 Bullets waiting in the "cue". Your channel is now my only comic(?) channel I now watch, I don't need any other! Keep up the great work and piling the recommendations on! Have a great day!
I have an idea for a video, where you go through your favorite writer/artist duos, & talk about all (or some) of the stuff they've done together. (of course Jeph Loeb & Tim sale would be #1 😅, but it would cool to see your other picks)
I suggest Fantastic Four Vol 1 Imaginaunts by Mark Waid, Doctor Strange Vol 1 Way of the Weird by Jason Aaron, and Shang-Chi Vol 1 Brothers and Sisters by Gene Luan Yang.
Thanks for the recommendations! I just got that FF Waid/Wieringo omnibus! I did read Imaginauts in the past though, fun stuff. I’m eager to finally finish all of that run
Yeah that DD run is a game-changer! I’m so happy marvel is reprinting the companion omnibus-born again and man without fear are easily some of my favorite Miller DD works
VISION BY TOM KING! Runaways by vaughn(can’t tell you much I love this!), ultimate Spider-Man, cap by Brubaker, daredevil by bendis/brubaker/waid, punisher max by Ennis, alias by bendis, old man Logan by Millar, ultimates by Millar, venom by cates, Thor by Jason Aaron I know you participated in the dc omnibus poll with near mint! I know you did! And you voted for many bat books lol
@@Theworthlessopinion I do really like Jason Aaron but Dr. Strange isn’t really my character. Never know what the future may hold but not actively seeking that one out. Still making my way through Aaron’s Thor
I love astonishing X-Men. It will be a disappointment to anyone new to comics to find that not all art is as beautiful as his. Miller’s DD also amazing. Remember buying these at the time and being awestruck on a monthly basis
You know I read Astonishing X-Men very early in my time as a comic fan and I think that’s true to a degree, unbelievable art-I was floored when I first read it, and I’m still blown away now! 📚 That’s awesome about DD, was there a lot of positive buzz around it at that time? Obviously now it’s an absolute classic, but as a reader at that time did you think that may be the case?
@@TheComicBookReport absolutely yes to both questions. Miller’s approach was really attracting attention - he was really pushing the boundaries in terms of grittiness on the writing and him and Jansen had hit a spell like Byrne/Austen artwise. You definitely knew it was great at the time. I’ve had the opposite with Ultimate Spider-man. Missed it at time as I was totally out of comics but loved that omnibus. Totally refreshed the character for me. How did that get received when it was coming out?
@@garyfoster65 wow love having some of this context! Thanks for sharing! For ultimate Spider-Man I didn’t catch it right when it was coming out but I still remember there being a bit of a buzz, not perhaps the accolades it would come to receive over time but something in discussion as I recall. That was a series i fell in love with when I first read it. I’ve always been a Spider-Man fan but that series in particular was something special. I remember collecting all the small trade paperbacks once upon a time
I love the spotlight Bullseye gets in the original Frank Miller Daredevil run, he portrayed Bullseye as so unhinged , skilled, and actually intelligent
Me and my GF are watching Dd S3 (we’re five episodes in) and she’s getting introduced to him and she’s very scared of him. I tell her that it gets so much worse lol. She is enjoying it btw, and Bullseye is scary.
What are some of your favorite Marvel Comics? 📚
Claremont run on X-Men is also one my favorites.
Absolutely 💯💯💯
I could have easily had that one this list! 📚

Thank you for making this video, it feels so validating as I have read most of these and even own Extremis
Right on! Any you’d add to the list? :)
And I love Extremis
Frank Miller's Daredevil is great.

I usually suggest Ms marvel no normal, wolverine origin, and Spider-Man Freshman Year.
Oh Wolverine origin is a fun one!
What do you think of weapon x?
