Galstaff you have entered the door to the north. You are now by yourself standing in a dark room, the pungent stench of mildew emanates off the wet dungeon walls.
😂 I love you guys 🎉 also some people obviously don’t appreciate Linda Belcher and Bobs Burgers 😤😂❤ but also- I’m not a fan of musicals or loads of singing in a movie 😅
I remember beating this game out of morbid curiosity, after I got to a certain point. I wouldn’t say it was a good game, but it was an experience. The best part is the post credit scene which you can access from the title menu.
I remember renting a PS2 from Blockbuster back in the day, since we couldn't find one to buy in my area for almost a year after release. Summoner and Gungriffon Blaze was my summer of 2001. Great times all around.
I got a PS2 for Christmas the year it was released and also got Summoner and Fantavision as gifts. Played a lot of Summoner back when it was released. I tried playing it again recently and it has not aged well.
So, after watching the opening cutscene, it looks like the backstory from the opening is about this guy whose village got invaded. That's when he found out he had the power to summon demons, because he summoned one, which killed the invaders, (Yay!) but also everyone else in the village (not yay). That was nine years ago, and now it looks like the village he moved to is getting invaded by more people.
I loved this game when it came out. It's like a proto-Dragon's Age. It did not age well, and doesn't lend itself to a quick look. It's a long and fiddly slog.
By the way: by the end of the game you have a party of five. Makes the game much more interesting when you have a party with various complimentary skills.
For some reason, I think this was the last game I ever got for the PS2, way after it was relevant and, possibly, after I had already bought an Xbox 360. I thought it was a little clunky, but pretty cool otherwise. I never beat it, though, so I guess it didn't hold my attention too well.
Haven’t watched in a while and everyone looks so different. Paul used to be clean cut and now he looks like a hipster and nick used to be a big boy but now he’s more lean, threw me off guard
I remember enjoying this game right up until the mechanic of summoning was actually introduced, and then for some reason it wasn't fun anymore. I just could not remain invested.
The fact that you changed it to Cummoner for the pause menus too is artistry.
Had to totally commit to the gag.

Incredible intro, 69/10. But I also get very uncomfortable when people just start singing in movies like I'm at a local theater production.
Fantasy fiction until the end of time.
mood

The editing gets better and better as the episodes go on.

Josh: *creepily caresses Paul's shoulder* You said lets get weird.
Paul: I though that was pretty normal.
You can't creep out Paul.
His big "What the fuck?!" begs to differ
7:40 That's not a fulcrum, that's a fullcum
Cummoner?! I barely even know her!!
Scary Golf sound awesome!
4:53 that's some serious dedication to the joke right there.
🎵i agree with nick about singing!🎵

Incredible intro
Pure genius
I gotta say, I wouldn't mind seeing a PlayStation 2 Month.

Love this game, can't wait to see this lol
My brain shuts down and collapses into itself when a musical happens in something I'm watching.
That FBDO reference was top notch.
4:06 Well Nick, I have some good news for you about Volition!
I thought for sure you'd say "fantasy month" all together like you used to this week for the last one of the year
There's actually one more week in November...
happy thanksgiving my dudes!
A hit of weird nostlagia this was bundled with my PS2 and it was just so frustrating that I gave up, looking back though it was apparently really good
Brass golem that funky golem 🤣🤣
“Stay away from the summoner!”
The ONLY thing I remember from this game, is the post credits scene with the characters playing DnD.
Played this game as a lad on PC. It's great.
Fantastic Eraserhead reference
Yo, another game from my youth. I remember playing this because because at the time it wasn't like we could get another. I played it out of spite.
"Yo, is this a New Order song?"
This looks like some good ol' fashion jank
Dam haven't been this early in a while!
Honestly looks like a pretty interesting game, I may play this.
Love this game. Still playable on Steam.
Speaking: The Video Game
Thank you for not playing bullshit games like some other game channels.
Yeah fuck game grumps
Man, I wanna play spooky golf now
I endorse the concept of PS2 Month
I am actually sad about the lack of FANTASY MONTH yelling lol

Watching this makes me wonder why kotor is awesome

I love all the recurring jokes like, "9/11 was one WEIRD day"
scary golf is a good idea
Lets gooo continue day!!
14:47 Reap and thresh, until it is done
Fantasy Month!!!!!❤❤❤
Ya'll NEED to play Legend of Alon D'ar on ps2... pls.
1:49 "Press the PS butt"

I presume the whole time stamps thing didn't work out?
Whoops. Forgot to export them. I’ll have to add them later.
Nick, tell the story of how you met Anna Taylor-Joy
What up, Uvala?
Good greyfix.
The sequel is a huge improvement over this
its wild that nick and josh switched fatness
Haven’t watched in a while and everyone looks so different. Paul used to be clean cut and now he looks like a hipster and nick used to be a big boy but now he’s more lean, threw me off guard
There's nobody here, why are you casting magic missile?
I remember enjoying this game right up until the mechanic of summoning was actually introduced, and then for some reason it wasn't fun anymore. I just could not remain invested.
fantasy month: failed successfully
Man this game sucked but y’all killed it even still, and Nick’s editing was outstanding.
I WILL CASH THAT DADDY CHECK
I fucking hate musical shit. Nightmare before christmas is probably the only one I'm cool with.
