You don't want the dinner and if you're going to toss it, then you can go to bed w/out eating. Missing one meal is not going to be the end of the world.
If you watch the whole episode, this kid literally became anemic because of his lack of eating and only eating junk foods with no iron or nutrition. That’s why they’re really trying to get him to eat then and there. It’s gone on too long.
