Voiceover, please. I can't stand the creaking.
I like both voiceovers and real time. So if it´s easier to pick voiceover when
there´s noise that´s fine. I didn´t hear anything though. Just the camera adjusting.
Hi Smitha, please share the brushes link for the ones u used. Thanks!
I think speaking while on camera is better
Can you do more fall inspired looks?
I love that you don't use false lashes all the time. I've never used them & hate not being able to see all of the entire eye look online because the lashes block the view of so much of the eyeshadow looks. Honestly, it drives me nuts sometimes.
I thougth I was the only one that don't like false eyelashes that much. I have never wear them. I actually kind of dislike them 🙈
I am not a fan of false eyelashes as well
same
Same
😊
This is brilliant, and such a money saver as you don't have to buy coloured bases to achieve this same look. Definitely inspired!
I realised that maybe even buy shade or 2 lighter concealer to mix with eye shadow, just to use with eye shadows for this purpose, I wonder would it make the color pop even more 🤔
... Or should it just be the same shade as my skin 🤔 maybe I test it.
You got it! Basically you’re making a colored base yourself for any eyeshadow that you want to use. And we all know that when you use a colored base that eyeshadows pop 💯🥰
She’s the best helping us out ❤
was just coming here to post that! trying to buy different colored shadows bases pencils cream etc.
EVERY beauty influencer can learn something from your videos: explanations, execution, easy hacks, camera zoom capabilities, lighting...etc.
Keep up the good work!
Exactly what I feel.
I love the left eye best!!
I love the concealer and eye shadow side best!!!
I love the tips: 1. Mix the shadow with a concealer as a base, 2. Pat the shadow on so it will go on more smoothly.👍
Thank you lol
Thank you I was waiting for her to get to the point and I couldn't take it anymore
@@Windsong1 🤣👍
@@stigmatamartyr4223 You're welcome 😊
Saved me 12 grueling minutes..thanks girl!!!
So clever! Love it! 🙌🏼
Side note: I really appreciate the lack of music in this video! I often have a hard time focusing and processing what you’re saying over the music, but this time my ears weren’t fighting and this was honestly just so relaxing for me 🖤 So thank you!
Your step by step guide of eye brow makeup is really wonderful. A beginner can easily learn from your videos.
That's why I follow Smitha! 💯 She makes it SO EASY 2 FOLLOW!
How pretty!🥰
I'm team high pigmented side. And this is a game changer! 💡 💗
I love it!😍🌺💫
@@SmithaDepak Me, too! Thanks so much!
I like when you talk directly to us, but I understand that, for a smoother presentation, voiceovers are better. Thank you for doing these videos. I’m 55 and I love playing with makeup and have been doing so for 40 years, but I have learned so much from you!!! ❤️ 💄
Love your video and this format. It makes putting on makeup relaxing and stress free. I have hooded eyes too so I appreciate these tutorials so much.
Thank you so much!!
I also have slightly hooded eyes and I would of never thought to try that I’m bout b 27 years old n just really got into doin my makeup oh and btw speak directly to camera I couldn’t hear no background noise🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😊
Smitha: you surprise me ALL THE TIME with your techniques and tips. Mixing concealer with the eyeshadow it's genius!! and it works insanely good! Loved it ❤️ I'm amazed 🤯🤯🤯🤯
I absolutely love that you do tutorials w out false lashes. You have the best tutorials either way ❤️
I love the pigmented side! I also prefer your voiceovers, as it really replicates how it should look when I do my own makeup...I don't typically talk and do makeup at the same time, unless my husband interrupts me
Agree. It also helps to make the videos shorter and straight to the point. Maybe she could incorporate GRWMs aside from tutorials for that more conversational style.
Oh wow - I am just starting to play around with doing my makeup and I would never have thought to try this. I am really excited to try adding some shadow to my concealer and seeing the difference. Thank you! I really enjoy your videos.
how awesome 💫🌺😍
Just when I thought I’ve watched so many makeup videos and I couldn’t learn anymore… I came across your channel a few months ago and I’m always blown away at your ability to create such amazing looks with such ease!! You are amazing!
I love your tips. I personally just use a glitter glue on the lid to get a more pigmented look on the lid. NYX glitter glue makes such a difference.
I've been struggling with colorful eyeshadow and this seems to be the most genuine advice ever! Glad I came across your video as a beginner. It's a heartfelt request to please make a video on using light shades including yellow and green and how to apply them in the correct manner. All things aside, it was the best tip ever!❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is ingenious! I can’t wait to try it. Also I like the voice overs because I like watching you work while you explain everything. Thank you for teaching us! 💜
I love the chatting while making the videos. Feels like more of a conversation vs instructional.
Glad you enjoy it!
This is genius!!! Can't wait to try this technique! As for voice over vs. talking as you go, I think you should do whatever works best for you. We love your beautiful voice and all of your wisdom no matter the delivery 💜
I like the voice overs because it makes the videos detailed and quick. When people talk to the camera they stop applying the makeup and the video is too long. With your videos the camera stays on the makeup and you give every single detail! I love it please don’t change that!
i love when you talk directly to the camera as opposed to voiceover. also, I absolutely LOVE this look! I can't decide which side I love more. I too have hooded eyes so I can't wait to try both of these looks.
Yay! Thank you!
It's the same look with a different base sweetie
Love the pigment eye. Both look great though. Thanks for ideas !
I love both. I have that palate, and I love it. I never knew about mixing the eye shadow with the concealer, that is just BRILLIANT!! I love the lighter side for a sweet day look, the darker for a dinner date or a special night. I like to add a slight touch of that green in the middle of my eyes. I lime doing a mostly neutral palate, then add the brighter colors in the center. Thank you so much.
Both are beautiful one for day one for a night time look. I love watching your tutorials.
Thanks so much 😊
That's a pretty awesome way NOT to lose the integrity of the actually color of the shadow. I love it Smitha! I'm used to using NYX jumbo pencils, but I don't have every color. So this is perfect 👌 😍 ❤
You’re reminding me of xsparkage and NYX milk. 😢
Pigment I would go with right side BUT I can do either one. Love the tips
The impact of tinting concealer is magnificent!! I love both sides though, and, FLASH does achieve the “glowing from within” vibe🌟
I would love to see the beautiful orange tones on this stunning palette. I wonder also if the orange tones could possibly be mixed tastefully with the green tones?
Beautiful as always @Smitha 💕✨🌟You capture the entirety of my attention when I watch your video’s. Take care 🤍🥰✌️
Also I would add that the voice over is nice, especially in situation’s like your remodelling. But. It’s lovely to see you talking to us. It’s more personal.
I love this! I just bought a palette of beautiful colors but could not get them to apply well or pop. I was about to throw it away. I'll try this technique now!❤
Your tips are always different from the rest, easy going and so helpful. Thank you Smitha 🥺❤️
I'm loving your technique...and I love intense purple eyeshadow. Thanks! 💜
Love your makeup tutorials, Smitha! Especially love the close up view, new tricks, clear explanation and at the same time being flexible in using what we already have in our makeup 😊
After watching your video, I immediately copied the technique using the exact same shade of purple but from a BH Cosmetics palette, and an LA Girl concealer. It turned out Exactly. The. Same i.e. just as SUPERB. Even the tint of the concealer after adding the powdered eyeshadow was the exact same shade of pinkish--mauve as yours.
The only thing I left out was the light brown shadow, because I found the pink edges of the grape-purple shadow formed their own contour for my deep-set lid.
Smitha, if all your tips and tricks are original to you, you have one of the most innovative brains I've ever seen in action. It's always a pleasure, and revelation, to observe the workings of your genuinely creative mind and your resourceful spirit.
I have ZERO idea how you continue to come up with unique content but you do. BRAVO!!
This is just beautiful! And such an easy way to intensify eyeshadow!!!
When you do voice over we can hear everything clearly and perfectly, nice look
Good to know!
I think voice overs with close ups work the best 😊 this tip was so great!!!!!
The difference in the two eyes is simply stunning. I’m glad I watched you do this otherwise I would never have understood how you created the difference. Both eyes are beautiful but I do think the right eye is more stunning.
Oh my God Smitha not only have you shown us a gorgeous pallet two beautiful ways to do the eyes and you have hit on my favorite all-time movies with a sequel you just never cease to amaze me and you are always teaching us something wonderful that we can use as a technique forever honey you are a gem
Hi Smitha, I really love the way you teach us,a quick question, how to avoid the eyeshadow pigments falling on the face.Keep up the good work 😘
So mix a little concealer with some of your eyeshadow powder instead of putting the concealer on your eyelid. What a great tip👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❣️
This shade of purple really makes your eye color pop!
Hi Smitha! I have been following you for close to a year now and it has allowed me to really step up my makeup game. I always felt like I was good at makeup and always received compliments, but I had no idea about primers, contouring, setting sprays and all the other "little" things like that. My makeup appearance upon completion looks sooo much better than it used to and actually lasts all day!!! I really love your videos because you have so many creative ideas that really interest me. I just have problems coming up with my own color schemes with your designs based on what i already have. I also struggle to find makeup I can use because I have a lot of allergies to chemicals used in makeup and hygiene products. Also, for years I could NEVER get my shadow on each eye to match! But from watching your videos, I've figured out that it's because I have one hooded eye! Upon realization and adjustment, I'm now able to match the shadows on each eye! One thing about my shadow application, however, I have noticed also that on my left eye, outer corner, the shadow doesn't seem to want to "apply" or blend. It's really weird. Which sometimes also causes the uneven look. Do you perhaps know what causes that? It's only my left eye. I also wondered what your thoughts are on using air brush foundation. I recently started using some, but I'm not yet satisfied. I like how quick and easily it is applied and the coverage it offers, but i feel like it comes off easily for example if i have an itch and scratch my face, or like when using concealer with it and trying to blend them. Can you recommend a particular brand that would be of great quality but not break the bank? Lastly, I struggle with false eyelash application. You make it look so easy using what appears to be just tweezers, but often times you cut the video to the full look. I've tried magnetic liner- don't like. Tried letting the lash glue get pretty tacky before applying, but i seem to get placement above the line and then it makes the lid/ shadow pull down. I've recently found some liner/glue which i may like best, but wondered if you could do a short on lash application. In regards to your voice- over vs. directly to the camera, I noticed immediately that it was different. I think either way is fine and you should do what suits you, but I do personally prefer the voice- over. Love you so much! Thanks for your content and super congratulations on your collaboration with OFRA!!
That is beautiful,I just started using purple/colors again on my eyes and this tutorial is just in time!
Both eyes are beautifully done. I honestly did not realize how much better the eye shadow looks going over a concealer first. Also I too have hooded eyes and I would have never ever though of using that brownish color over the edge of the purple in the eye socket area to help with making the eye lid appear less hooded! But it turned out wonderful looking. I also like to use black eyeshadow for making a smoky look instead of any type of eye liner. The black eye shadow achieves the smoky look so much better. And I would like to thank you for explaining the different type of brushes do different types of things. I never can get that right. Thank you!
Wow!! Thank you! Love concealer plus shadow
I would LOVE to see more eye make-up looks with this new Colorpop Hocus Pocus eyeshadow pallet 😍😍
Will be using this exact shadow and technique for my Beetlejuice Halloween look! Thank you!
WOW! Thank you for being such a great teacher. You actually explain which brush to use! I’ve learned so much from 3 of your videos than I have in the past 3 years of struggling my hooded eyes. ❤
I think the way you teach how to do brows is spot on. I did mine that way today from a previous video of yours, and I was awed by how great my brows looked. Thank you for such great tutorials!
Lovely tutorial Smita; personally I liked both sides, as I can do the right side for evening events and the left side for day events…
And, also I prefer voice over video more as I can focus more on your makeup techniques. Thankyou for sharing.❤️
I would lobe it if you did a smoky look with "night of sins" and "till midnight" with any one of those shimmers!💖
Wow! That's such a great idea for the colored base! I'm going to try this next time! Thank you!
I love the look of your right eye. The color is sooo rich! Purple is one of my favorite colors but its always been a hard shade to blend. Ill have to try this technique. Oh and I like you to talk into the camera. To me I feel like you're more in touch with your audience than with voice over.
I have hooded eyes and your tutorials are so helpful to me. Thank you for all your help. I look forward to all your videos. ❤❤
wow 😍 thank you for another great technique💖 you are the best as always🥰
Thank you! Cheers!
I love the how you did the right eye. It made the eye looked fuller big and wide. Thanks Smitha for all your make up tutorial. I loved them all ❤
I am in so much love with this look and colors!!! Thank you for the tip!
I love this look and the way you combine the concealer and eye shadow 💯
Hey Smitha! Yet another lovely and helpful video from you! I have a question. What if we use eyeshadow primer and do the same? Which one comes out good, the one with the new technique or the eyeshadow primer one?
I would also like to know too as scraping a shadow and mixing a concealer is a lot of work to do every time, while an eyeshadow primer doesn't require an extra step. Alex Anele did a vid a while ago showing that primer works best compared to just on top of concealer or powder, but I would think think mixing with concealer might be better in some ways than a primer, though I'd have to see it to believe it.
Concealer also seems like it would move unlike a primer, so I'm not even tempted to use it as an eyeshadow base, esp as someone w semi-hooded eyes. But I'm still curious to see these techniques compared.
What a great idea, works with any color and saves A LOT of money! Absolutely love your voice overs, that's what makes you one of my faves to watch!!!
Love the powdered eyeshadow and concealer mix side!
I’ve used different color shadows or cream shadow sticks to make other eyeshadow colors pop but I never thought to mix my own base color using my concealer and build on that… can’t wait to try this!!! Thank you for the idea!!
🙏💙
I love both ! And talking as your applying your makeup 🙏🏻
I absolutely love that eyeshadow palette! I like the silver and green shimmers. And the purple you used is lovely!
I have very hooded eyes, and I love this trick for getting the eyeshadow more pigmented. I will be giving this a try! Thank you!
Thank you! I never thought to do that! I'll be mixing my shadows going forward!
I love them both but the eyeshadow with the concealer was so much more pigmented! Very nice tutorial, thank you so much!💜
Totally love this technique you used. I love the combination of the brown with purple! I found an eyeshadow that was a purple with brown highlight in it, I received tons of compliments I haven’t been able to find that shade again, but wow!! You applied them together two ways that look so beautiful! I love matte deep purple but sometimes too dark for day wear. Clearly you show us both day and evening! Bravo! I love your tips💜
The right side with the concealer mixture really looks good! I must try that! Thank you for sharing.
This is absolutely stunning ❤️
Wow!! What a difference! Thank you so much for showing the two options together! 😮
Love love love the comparison ♥️ definitely see the opacity on your right eye and the true hue 🙌 I am currently a MUA student and always learn something from your videos. Thanks!!!!
Love your tips on the different techniques💗
Wow! Always loved your techniques!
WOW!! What a difference! Thank you.
Beautiful! Thank you for the tip!
I love both! Thanks for that tip for the base. I will definitely be trying it😁
I love both, and your correct it depends on the occasion. For a night a party your right eyeshadow will definitely standout and for the daytime your left eyeshadow will suit on you🥰
the browns and orange is soooo autumn! pretty colors!
Love both. So simple and brilliant. Thank you.
love this concealer trick, will be using it!
I like both techniques. I think the left eye will suit me well for the day, and the right eye for evening!
@SmithaDeepak You're such an amazing teacher, that you even have me believing that I can do these makeup looks, too! lol Your channel is my "go to" for learning new makeup methods. It's great to hear that you're getting your home remodeled, that means things are going well and that makes me so happy for you. Blessings to you and your family. 🙏
Wow! What a difference. I am definitely going to try this technique
I love this so much! That look is absolutely amazing!!
Thanks! Looking forward to trying this!
The pigmented is my fave but both are gorgeous! Thank you for this tutorial!💜
Both are beautiful!
Great tutorial as always Smitha Depaak! Thank you!
Thank you!!!! The tip you gave us about the eyeshadow color is priceless! Can't wait to try it that way!
Brilliant. Thank you for the tip!
love the darker eye
shadow
You're THE best, Smitha!
Love this trick. Thank you for sharing.
Blew my mind!! There are times I have wanted the opacity but no matter how many layers I couldn't get it! You have solved that!
Hi Smitha, discovered your tutorials while browsing UA-cam for hairstyles! Gotta say, you are refreshing in your delivery of tutorials, applications, tips, advice, good quality close-ups, and packed with a lot of advice. Great job.
I love both side of your eye shadow makeup! Tks for shattering ❤❤
Bravo, Smitha!
Love you💖
Love love!! Thank YOU!
Huge difference! Great technique!
Beautiful on both eyes! Thanks for the advice on mixing concealer with eyeshadow. I use more earth tones.
