It’s insane that both eyes have the exact same lid shade, they look completely different in color family, tone, opacity, and shine. They don’t look like they could even be the same brand or caliber of quality at all. This just goes to show that putting in the effort to properly prep the eye, and taking the time to learn and understand the different uses for your tools is %100 worth it .

Sign up for boxycharm. That's what I did. I threw out my cheap dollar store make up and it's $21 a month. I was in it for 3 months and got a ton of nice brushes and 3 eye shadow palettes, a contour kit, mascara. I do like elf make up brushes I get from dollar tree but the ones from boxy are high quality (like a $28 brush set) and it doesn't break the bank. I'll probably sign back up after the holidays. Also if you have a Ross Dress For Less, they often have great closeout make up that's normally more expensive. That's where I get my make up wipes for $3-4 a pack instead of the same price for crappy ones somewhere else.
Wayne goss is good I have a complete hood all most mono. I use him, Jamie French, and Stephanie Lange. Sometimes nikkie if I’m wanting something more dramatic.
No kidding. It should be an all make up application requirement. I do recommend the pause button rather than notes as you at least have a fighting chance...or I do as my handwriting is about as good as my makeup application. Good luck!

That has personally helped me. Also, apply as close to your upper lash-line as possible. For lower lash line eyeliner, make sure you apply on the water-line, not below.

Buying quality makeup products are completely worth it to me. Even if I'm broke af I will save for quality products because there is such a difference. But I'm really into makeup and love to do full face makeup as much as I can. There are certain products you can find at a drugstore that give you the same or similar result but I for things like foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeliner and shadows I will pay for the brands with the best reviews that I know work for me. For example I never use drugstore foundation . I will gladly shell out 45 bucks for Estee Lauder Double Wear because it is the best foundation I've ever used and I can clearly see the difference. There is an amazing makeup setting spray I love by NYX and it's from a drugstore. I generally watch and read makeup reviews to see which drugstore brands can compare to the big names and try those.
Same. Or many times I’ll get everything placed where I want it, then go to blend it out and when I’m about 30 seconds in realize that it looks like there’s nothing on my eye. It’s like it just blends into nothingness.

If you're like me and you have oily eyes, I use either Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion or Wet N Wild eyeshadow primer. They're honestly the same in quality but the Wet N Wild is much cheaper. The only downside is that its becoming harder to find as more people discover it.

When I do a gradient like you’re doing, I will bring the same colors in the same order down to my lowers eyelash line. I think it looks great because I hate doing anything else to that area but feel like I’m not done if I don’t do ANYTHING. Great tips as always! Thank you!

Even the don’t side works for me. Sometimes I don’t have time to put on layers and layers of eyeshadow so I just go for one dark shade and blend it and it works perfect. It depends on how you do it , if you tried to make the don’t side work it would have but you didn’t.

Buying quality makeup products are completely worth it to me. Even if I'm broke af I will save for quality products because there is such a difference. But I'm really into makeup and love to do full face makeup as much as I can. There are certain products you can find at a drugstore that give you the same or similar result but I for things like foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeliner and shadows I will pay for the brands with the best reviews that I know work for me. For example I never use drugstore foundation . I will gladly shell out 45 bucks for Estee Lauder Double Wear because it is the best foundation I've ever used and I can clearly see the difference. There is an amazing makeup setting spray I love by NYX and it's from a drugstore. I generally watch and read makeup reviews to see which drugstore brands can compare to the big names and try those.

if the shadow or the brush isn't good, it can wind up looking muddy or patchy
I definitely bought a horrible brush. Guess that what happens you get cheap things.
Same. Or many times I’ll get everything placed where I want it, then go to blend it out and when I’m about 30 seconds in realize that it looks like there’s nothing on my eye. It’s like it just blends into nothingness.

If you're like me and you have oily eyes, I use either Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion or Wet N Wild eyeshadow primer. They're honestly the same in quality but the Wet N Wild is much cheaper. The only downside is that its becoming harder to find as more people discover it.

When I do a gradient like you’re doing, I will bring the same colors in the same order down to my lowers eyelash line. I think it looks great because I hate doing anything else to that area but feel like I’m not done if I don’t do ANYTHING. Great tips as always! Thank you!

Even the don’t side works for me. Sometimes I don’t have time to put on layers and layers of eyeshadow so I just go for one dark shade and blend it and it works perfect. It depends on how you do it , if you tried to make the don’t side work it would have but you didn’t.
