- Decided to redo this one, extended and this time with the actual ominous opera vocals used by Yuki Hayashi :)

All For Ones has been named You Cant Run by fans, but no where is it seen as the official OST name and honestly it probably won't be named that as I assume the artist already has a name for this.

Dude yes that scene was so epic for the dub. I prefer dub always and in the sub I rewatch that scene and it doesn't translate as well. In the sub you couldn't even tell the line reverse used against all might. The voice actor for all for one in the dub was very impressive to me and when he delivered that line it hit so hard to me.

@@cranyan I wasnt implying the dub came fist lol. Obviously, the show being a Japanese one, it would be created in their native language lol. The dub just so happened to be better to me in this particular scene in the rematch between Almight and One for All.

He gets in your head but has the power to back it up.
All for one is the kinda of villain who if he and the rest of hero academia were in a crossover, he wouldn't kill characters like naruto or luffy who built up their allies and friends throughout their respective series, he would mentally break them by baiting them into attacking or even killing their allies by mistake like he did with gran torino.
All for one is so sadistic and thats what makes him such a terrifying villain.
And keep in mind he has permanent injuries.. Imagine the fuck up shit this would do if he was in top condition, Can't imagine a fight between All might and him in their prime.

He is sadistic, manipulative, and smart.
He would tear them apart from the inside.
Add that to the fact that he have the power to back himself up in a straight up brawl, and you have one hell of a villan.
He is one the best anime villains Ive ever seen. Reminds me of Orochimaru if he had actually accomplished any of his plans, and even his Quirk is like a complete version of Orochimaru. His personality is one of that of a genius, who although evil is wise beyond your understanding, and has no time to BS. Wished we could see All For One in his true power, as he too is less than half of his true potential as All Might is at 15% as well.

I found a comment in another video that this theme should be named "You CAN'T Run", and I think it's perfect considering the heroes' theme(You Say Run).
It really signifies the fact that All For One's arrival is enough to freeze you to your place, his aura terrifying you each second that passes, but he says with a subtle smile, "There is no need for you all to run. Because, YOU CAN'T RUN!"

I can guarantee bakugo was scared, but he didn’t see just how fast AFO had done that damage, so he’d be less scared I assume, at least enough that he can move
English dub put a nice touch on the fight.

Pretty sure it was the same in the Japanese with All For One copying All Might's catchphrase ("Watashi ga kita!")).

michaelman90 That does sound right, but I’m not much into the Japanese language or it’s nuances. The dub just personally had a better impact on me not only because he said it, but because I could also feel the animosity behind his words
It's a fact that if the villain quotes a hero(see Jafar reprising Prince Ali's song), things go south pretty damn quick.

i love how its at most, 3 layers. piano, vocals and 3 strings. its not over the top and dramatic. its not saying "IM EVIL"
its calm. its slow. there isnt a need to tell you he's THE evil, because you just feel it. its dread, and helplessness and fear. its effortless. its nonchalant. It's not a grand spectacle. it doesnt need to be because, unless you're the top of the top, you're defeated before it could ever reach a climax.

I prefer the English dub because they beautifully paralleled "I am here" when All for One rescues Tomura. Instead of "I'm here for you", it was "I am here"...
AFO? *Caring* ? I highly doubt it. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Tomura is just a pawn to AFO. Think about it like this: Tomura became a villain because a Hero never came to save him right? Well, what if the reason no Hero saved Tomura as a child was because AFO *killed any Hero who tried* to save Tomura? What if Tomura's "bond" with AFO is just one more of AFO's lies and schemes? I mean, Tomura is the grandson of Toshinori's mentor, Nana Shimura. In AFO's estimation, if Tomura ends up causing All Might's downfall, then that's splendid, but if Tomura is instead captured or killed, that's splendid as well, as that would mean Nana Shimura's grandson has not only not become a Hero, but has instead become the very thing she had fought against, and if he dies, then that means All Might has failed not just as a Hero, but failed to protect Nana's own family.
I believe that AFO only cares about *one* person in the entire world: *himself* ....Tomura and anyone else would at best be little more than useful pawns to AFO.

That was honestly the most terrifying aspect of All for One.
The fact, that, as evil and powerfull he is, there was controll and intent behind everything he did.
During that fight with All Might, every attack, every word and every gesture he made, was simply to drill the nails deeper into All Might and to break him.
All for one is pure evil and he knows it
A sadistic and cold individual who only wait to see how the game goes, and when he couldn’t rise out of the shadows to feed what very well may be a god complex... he trains another, treating this like his last encore to remind people of the darkness ever waiting

The moment where it was really driven home how utterly wicked All For One truly is.
In literally every MMO ever when a new boss drops and you see somebody twice your level get oneshot by it.
Only twice your level?? Bro All For One is over 200 years old and has countless quirks and vast knowledge about them and how to combine them. He is easily 10 times their level

Who really won the fight? All for One was defeated and arrested, but he broke All Might, broke the public's perception regarding heroes, gave hope to the villains that the invincible All Might was finally taken down, and he freed his student.
All for One was always one subtle person, with indirect ways of attaining his goals.
As he said in prison, his plan still works perfectly, even with him defeated, crippled and imprisoned.
Even when All for One dies, he's accomplished all but his main goal of wreaking complete chaos into society. I think that'll be Shigaraki's job from now on. He knew after he was crippled the first time he would never be able to do it on his own, that's why he sought out and fostered Shigaraki.
All Might will never be the one to put an end to Shigaraki, his emotional attachment to the thought of his mentor will be too much, and society's take on heroes is most likely scarred for a very long time.
@@Gwailoh911 that's why I hope deku and shigaraki will clash in a final fight with deku's 100% full cowl and shigaraki with all for one. I also hope their ideals and ideology about the hero society crash, as deku desperately needs some character development and I think the best way for that to happen is for deku's idolization of the hero society and heroes being challenged by shigaraki since he knows heroes can't save everyone and those who are not saved are left to rot in their society with no chance of redemption or resurrection.
He also forced All Might into retirement, which lead to Endeavor, whom the public doesn't like or trust, to become the #1 hero, a big middle finger to the hero society, as the people's trust is somewhat lacking toward that fact.
All for one’s plan actually 100% worked. He predicted he’d lose to all might

I have a confession to make, I admire true villains. I've seen plenty of different types of anime villains over the years. From the cold and cruel caculations of Aizen to the unrelenting and devastating fury of Cell. As an amatuer writer I strive to anylize and study what makes a truly evil and perfect villain. From the physical to the mental, from the emtionless to the psychotic, from the flashy tyrant to the quiet serial killer.
And in my honest opinion none have ever come close to that title as All for One has. Unlike most villains he's driven not by a desire to dominate or a hatred of his enemies. Instead he is driven solely by his own ideals. And he achieves those ideals not just with the power of quirks, but with the power of words. All he has to do is say the right things in the right order and he can reduce even the most powerful and brave hero to nothing but a withered shell drowning in complete despair. And the most terrifying thing is....he's patient.
He's willing to sit back and watch from the shadows waiting for the perfect moment to strike. And by the time anyone figures out whats happening its already too late. He'll have them lying on the ground doubled over with pain as he stands over them. And as a few of them plead for mercy, all he'll do is look down at them and smile. Sure there'll most likely be other villains in the future but very few will come as close to being the true embodiment of evil as All for One has become.

It’s so melodically and controlling in a way that it makes sense to use it to train vocals or just for reverberating it in a room where the sound can bounce and multiply until it feels like the room is shaking and is sinister in so many ways

All for One is the only anime villain so far that actually scared me. He's not just powerful, he's also smart. And power and inteligence are a horrible combination in a villain. He literally broke All Might and Deku with just words.

There is no other more menacing and terrifying villan in mainstream shonen anime.
The only other possibilities would be aizen and madara, but those two completely lost it and became whimps in the end.

Thats the static you get when u play old vinyl records. In this particular case i think its meant to remember us that All For One cannot die of old age ( he took someones quirk for that right?)

I don’t know why but this music just really puts my nerves at ease whenever I’m really stresses. Like when I’m about to enter a boxing arena this soundtrack just plays whether it’s in my head or in the outside, all my fear and nervousness just disappears and it gets replaced with confidence and power.
