- Recorded during a Friday night Shabbat service at Ramat Shalom Synagogue, Rabbi Andrew Jacobs and his community welcome a woman who recently converted to Judaism. She is presented with a tallit (prayer shawl) and carries a Torah around the congregation.

Wow the hardest part of converting to Judaism is learning all the songs!! There's so many!! I love them but dang that's hard LOL My first passover seder caught me off guard xD Oseh Shalom Bim Romav is still my favorite

do not convert. Do not. Jews are too nice to tell you not to, but really they don't want outsiders. We have been at it for thousands of years and it's not easy, but with every new person this, by now fragile, culture gets more and more diluted, yet we are commanded to remain separate from the nations. Please, do yourself and us a favor and do not convert, but instead - learn 7 Mizvot.

Jews really don't want or need converts. potential converts will do much better by learning 7 Mizvot and instead of wrecking their life (your own parents are off limits to you as a true convert, if you didn't know) and burdening Jewish communities with themselves, instead - do bring light to your own people, those that you physically and mentally know much better than the ones you are thinking of joining. Don't do it. Stay true to yourself. Help your own tribe. Leave Jews to their own devices. Please.

Don't do it. Learn about 7 Mizvot instead. Jews really really don't the converts and we have many reasons not to as well as for a person there is no reason to abandon his/her own tribe and join another. Improve the place and people of which you were born, don't join others because it feels more convenient, pleasant, right, etc., it's ungrateful to your people and not good to the ones you will burden with adjusting to you. Don't do it. Reform is not Judaism and they have no right to subject you to future suffering. Don't do it. Don't be stupid.

I feel God is leading me to Judaism and OUT of christianity.....just waiting on my Red Sea to part!! Long story !!! I have been SICKLY my whole life feeling like I am living under God's curses..... nothing in my family life has gone right!!! Not a peaceful home life at all. Please Pray God moves me out on my own right now my family is supporting me since I am sickly . I have tons of food ALLERGIES so I can eat kosher and my family is UNKOSHER and into paganism which DOESN'T SIT RIGHT WITH ME AT ALL!!! BEEN SEEKING HIM FOR HIS WILL FOR MY LIFE 35 AND NOT SETTLED IN LIFE AT ALL. HAVE FELT LIKE A WONDERER MY WHOLE LIFE !! NEVER FIT IN AT CHURCH AND CHRISTIANITY HASN'T SATISFIED THIS HUNGER IN ME FOR GOD AND I WAS BORN INTO THIS RELIGION BUT A JEWISH DOCTOR SAVED MY LIFE BEFORE BIRTH OR I WOULD BE DEAD. GOD Allowed the Second Temple to be destroyed because the Nation of Israel Rejected Jesus, and now they have to no High priest to be their Mediator before God. @@JILifer , I agree that Jesus is the Son of God and that He is the Messiah. I also believe that Judaism and Jesus are one. Many people separate the two but He came to fulfill the prophecy not create a new religion. Many people on both sides get confused by that. He is the Word and whole reason that this is. He said I am the way , the truth and the life. No one can get to the Father except through Me. Both sides are blinded by lies and hate. It’s time to get to the root of what HaShem is saying which is for all mankind to draw unto Him. Thank you for your passion about Yeshua (Jesus).
Unfortunately, the Rabbi is not being honest with her. He stated that no-one can question her faith. He's hiding from her that in fact there are people that will question her face. She has to know the truth.

Depending on what school of though you want to adhered to in Judaism there are different methods of converting. I am unfamiliar with the Reform, Conservative or Reconstruction's methods but from those who I have talked to, they say its the easiest to convert to. If you want to practice a more Torah observant life you might want to look at more Orthodox movements such as Modern Orthodox, Ultra-orthodox or Hassidic (Chabad-Lubavitch, Breslov, Gur, Bobov etc.) but most of the Hassidic communities accept for Chabad and Breslov, tend not to want converts. If you choose this path, its much more difficult to convert as there is allot more alternating of your life to convert. If you truly want to live your life that way they will guild you. I would contact various rabbis from different movements and see what works for you. I wish you the best of luck and if you decide to take the journey, you shall be welcomed to the Jewish Nation.
First ask yourself the question:
Why do you want to convert?
DOn't do it. You can not become a Jew, you will always be a convert. Instead, study the 7 Mizvot and improve your own people accordingly.

Remember that modern Jews are not Descended from Biblical Jews or Prophet Yakob. Real Jews are present among few Palestinians and Southern Iraqis and among Non Hindu Aryans.

@@erickyanez6297 the best, kosher, really Jewish advice for potential converts is not to do it. Study 7 Mizvot instead and improve the lives of those who are close to you, whom you know and understand best. It's a tragic mistake every convert makes. Don't do it.
