Wow, my favorite diy channel added a hat. And so much like the 70s floppy hats we wore. If you ever get a chance I’d love a bucket hat. I make make material from my jean scraps to do this! I learned to fix my jean bags linings here, make zipper pockets in them, all kinds! And patterned my mask after your pleated one! No one else has not only the ways to do the patterns and sew but I can see how to make a few design or sizing differences if I need to. That is not easy with a lot of other videos labeled as how to. Because they skip steps. Or never show the sewing. Thanks again and i tell everyone about your channel!
great hat, I realize that this is an older video but I am still hoping for an answer. I know that the 3.3 in. was the radius for the head but how do you come up with the other measurements? thanks
at 3;18 in the video bottom of paper what is the dot angeld at? when you draw the rim. you did not give that measurement. please explain, im trying to make a pattern. thanks i love your video.
As always your perfact measurements make us very easy to follow. Your projcts are all perfact, tampto make it right away . I have done the masks, tote bags& shoulder string bags with you . They came out beautiful.I hope my grand gaughter also learns from you. You are the Best. Thank you.
At approximately the 7:41 mark, you were using a white tool to help hold/feed the fabric under the needle. I need to own that tool! Where can I find it? Thank you!
www.amazon.de/Prym-PRYM_610191-1-Ecken-und-Kantenformer/dp/B00DOX7JWM must be this - i only know the german version off this tool - hope you will find it
Perfect! Thank you :) I finished this in a few hours. I'm not a pro but I have made a lot of things before. It was easy and made sense. The hardest part is the brim stitches being even but you dont really have to do that if you're not very experienced. The seams got really thick at the end but my crappy sewing machine was able to do it if I hand cranked over those thick seams where the drawstrings were.
I have a fat head though. I’m thinking all sizing is on that first circle and I would figure out similar to measuring waist for a circle skirt. Or something. Which I used to know how to do. Then all sizes up or down relative of the other pieces. It will hurt my brain but good practice for my old self.
You make it look so easy! Great tutorial as I want to make a sun hat as in one of your other videos but have chin strap so this was very straight forward and will be a hat for me and one for my sister her birthday in January. Thanks!

I got confused when you skipped a passage and showed the side parts already sewn together. Do I have to flip the pattern when I cut the fabric?
