@@perrycarters3113 I cant get into it, too disappointed Liam and Laura will never roleplay a couple. And Orim felt like kicking me when I'm already down, I was shipping him and Fearne like a madman.
If they ever do a series on the Nein like there are for Vox Machina the series should end with this song over the credits. It just feels so much like a long journey coming to a happy ending
This sounds like a shanty sung around a country inn or tavern. I imagine someone starts it like this: "Okay, attention all ye folk, drinkin' in this here tavern! We 'bout to have a little singin' contest! 10 gold to the winner, say I! All right, so who's up first?" A rugged, traveling gnome with a fiddle walks up to the front bar, and says, "Aye -- I've got a story for ye lot!" The first man says, "Oh, ye do, do ye? Well, let's hear it! What's it about?" The gnome looks at him, dead in the eye. "It's about a travelin' group, who saved the world. They were once known as the Mighty Nein." The gnome draws his bow across his strings, rolls a nat 20 for a Performance check, and begins singing this song -- and by the end of the song, the whole bar, knowing the song, is singing the verses without help. And that gnome wins that 10 gold. I love, love, love shanty songs like these. Whoever made this song, you made my day!
Thank you so much! I wrote the lyrics and melody, sang Yasha's verse, and gathered all the people to help put it together. It was definitely a group effort. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Also loved your narrative comment. 😁
@@MegamiOfficial Out of curiosity, I wanted to ask: Is there a way to write a song in this tavern-shanty style, and have it be about Vox Machina? I imagine that if such a song were written, there would be verses written not just about the main VM characters, but there would also be verses about Gilmore, Lady Kima, and Allura Vysoren, and even perhaps a verse written about a certain cuddly, lovable bear named Trinket. Just an idea I've had since hearing this song. 😌
@@isaiahwelch8066 I actually became a Critter with the 2nd Campaign, so although I know there is much love for Vox Machina, I just don't know enough about the characters to write it. Sad day. What a wonderful tune! I think it actually captured what makes C2 and the PC's special. Whereas Vox Machina rose to becomes world renowned heroes, the Nein, while still saving the world, will never be renowned, with only a few parties knowing their names. So what ended up mattering for them, and what became the true arc of the campaign, was how they changed as people. They started and ended in anonymity, having found each other. That's probably what also makes them so relatable. I'm not just saying this because my favorite character in CR history is Caduceus Clay.
Exactly! I feel like when there's "Legends of Vox Machina", there may only be "Tales of Mighty Nein", as their good deeds are only known and felt on a personal level and the stories of their adventures are only told by word of mouth to the few. And I think that's beautiful.

My first critical role campaign is campaign 3 and in my down time im catching up on campaign 2 and I know I won’t have the “first time nostalgia everyone had” but I hope when I come back to this song at the end it holds the same emotional affect
It’s been about a year since I finished campaign 2, and I’m just now finding this. I nearly teared up watching this; this is a beautiful tribute to the story of the Nein.
just found this song recently but wanted to say thank you for making this its really good, i love the lyrics and the soothing tune in the background, i would personally love to see the actual cast sing this wonderful song anyway brilliant work and i cant wait to listen to more of your pieces
Maybe it has to do with the roller coaster the Bell’s Hells have taken us on the past few weeks but this really took me back to the Nein and definitely made me tear up. I didn’t realize how much I missed C2.
Ugh I can’t get this song out of my head from the first moment I heard it! The yearning to have the type of unshakable bonds forged by the peril and challenges dnd parties face is strong. The Mighty Nein’s story and love for one another is such a comfort and this song embodies it perfectly. Thank you for the art 💙💙💙

@@sullymast4672 I know for sure that Matt tuned into one of our Critical Role concerts (@TheCantata) when we were raising money for Amnesty International. I don’t know what it is, but this song and the All My Friends Mollymauk animatic wrench at my heartstrings so hard. It’s like, it’s actually HARD to watch them because they make me feel soooo much! You did wonderful on this!
Im revisiting this song and binging through c2 before we get the animated series snd let me tell...this is such a beautiful expression of all of the mighty neins stories. My heart breaks for caleb through it all. I cant wait for the heartbreak and emotional fury all over again. Long May (not only) He (but All) Reign
Oh I can't believe I'm finding it just now. You made me tear up, it's so beautiful! Love the music and all the voices. Gosh it feel so nice, just imagine M9 in the tavern while some group of bards happened to sing about heros no one really heard before. Beau immediately recognising who it is about. Jester laughing loud and being so into it, taking Fjord into dance. Caleb gently smiling at his friends behind a beer cup. Yasha maybe taking Beau's hand into hers and taping the rhythm into the floor with her foot.
I've found through my watching of Critical Role's campaigns that Vox Machina's campaign definitely felt like a group of friends just hanging around and playing D&D, and its very similar with Bells Hells as of right now (who's to say the cinema won't kick up later on since we're only 35 episodes in by this comment), but the Mighty Nein definitely felt more like a storyboarding room for a movie or series. Mighty Nein had this incredible cinematic element to them, not only in the way the characters were played, but in Matt's descriptions of events in the Mighty Nein campaign. While Vox Machina and Bells Hells definitely feel more like a D&D game with the bros, Mighty Nein had a more cinematic feel. I'm not sure what it was about Campaign 2 that made it feel so cinematic. For example, Yasha's moment in C2 where she gets her proper Assimar wings, the moment of her bursting through the clouds, it oozes pure cinema. Basically, C2 was freaking incredible, and I have high hopes for the remainder of campaign 3 and the Bells Hells
Episode 30 is about when I started REALLY caring, it took me almost a year to get through the first parts of the campaign because there was so much new stuff going on. I'm totally invested now.
With the announcement of the Mighty Nein getting a show some time ago poping into my head, as well as this song playing in my head, I had a thought: Damn, can’t wait for somebody to make a amv with this song after
Aww, thank you so much! It was definitely written as a "wrap up" when the campaign ended, so I'm glad it's hitting like it's supposed to. Thanks for listening!
I came really late for watching it all since day 1. But got really engaged when I started watching it from the beginning, even watching campaing 1. I loved the emotion and every single little thing the show offers. I loved campaing 1, I love campaing 2 and I'm loving campaing 3. But for ever campaing 2 will be my favourite, Caleb is my favourite PC, Molly was good while he lasted and every single oneshot shows the beast he would've been if he was still alive. For the Heroes we know, but the world doesn't. It's been fun to see this group of friends develop in this campaings.
Vox Machina was fun, but I really feel like the Mighty Nein was what lit the fans brains on fire. The creativity from this Fandom is one of its best features.
Love Vox Machina and Hell Bells, but the Mighty Nein will be forever in my number one. It was the first campaign i ever saw and it introduced me to dnd and kinda relate to every single one in the party in some way. Wish it didn't take this long to find this, thank you for this)))
I relate to this. My hubby and I also got started with the Mighty Nein. Nothing quite like it for me. You are so welcome. Glad you found the tribute. 💗
I loved watching the Legend of Vox Machina but the Mighty Nien will always take its place dearest to my heart. The character spoke to me more then I had really realized at first and even Beau, who I unjustly dislike at first, became important to me as I realized that the reason I didn’t like her was because she shared some bad quality with me and I didn’t want to see someone else having the same problems as me but when she came over those problems it gave me something to look to for myself. But Molly and Cad will always be my favorites as they both had personality traits I wish I had but can never have and it brings me comfort seeing others have qualities I wish I had and making those around them happy by just being themselves.
I only just recently finished C2. I binged it from like December 2021-May 2022. This cast and their characters has just filled me with so much joy and love, and you perfectly captured their spirit in this. I have so many feelings. This is wonderful.
I remember watching C2E1 for the first time as soon as it was posted to youtube. I had only saw some clips of C1 and thought it would be funny, but had no idea that I would be a huge fan and following these characters for years. This is a wonderful tribute to these characters and the story!
Mine was a similar-ish experience. My hubby and I were traveling and he put on the C2E1 podcast to keep us awake during the long drive. Been hooked ever since.
You’re missing out, it’s absolutely fantastic and very different from 1 or what we’ve seen of 3 and it’s absolutely my favourite (although maybe because it was my first I’m a little biased)
1,000%. I wrote the lyrics and melody. Then I reached out to other Critter bards and Critters in general. Organized auditions, assigned parts, did multiple takes, gathered instrumentalists to play along, then compiled all of the different stems, roped in a mixer, someone else to help master, plus reached out to multiple artists to be able to use their artwork for the cover/ album art. That's why the credits in the description are so long. If you want a quality product, it takes a LOT of work.
Jeez this is absolutely stunning, man. I haven’t finished C2 yet but so far I’m absolutely in love with these characters. I’m on like episode 21 I think (so yes, Molly is still here, I sadly got spoiled what happens to him) and it’s just been so addicting to watch and see these characters grow and go on adventures and meet people and learn more about eachother. They’re such a merry bunch of rag tag, messed up heroes and it’s just so heartwarming to see all the work people put in for projects like this. The art and music people make for CR is always so stunning and I just love the vibe of this fanbase. My brother introduced me to CR and I’m absolutely over the moon that he did, it’s been so fun to experience! But yeah, this song is just absolutely amazing. (Also C3 has been absolutely fantastic so far!) Also i just saw you put the guitar chords in the description, tysm for that!

And we've turned into kin
Hail to the party
Hail to our kin
Hail to the party
Vox Machina
(Grog Verse)

After nearly being killed
Now he rages when he needs
In defense of friends and ale
(Pike Verse)
A cleric who had lost her faith
Now redeemed and a champion
She rebuilt a temple once lost
And now protects that which she loves
(Chorus)
(Percy Verse)
A man who had lost his family
Found another, much more vast
For him, a need of vengeance sated
Now freed and peace at last
(Vex Verse)
A Half-Elf with her bow
And a cuddly grizzly bear
Now fights for what she holds dear
Protecting wood and stone and home
(Chorus)
(Keyleth Verse)
Air Ashari is she
On a journey, one of growth
Aramente, and learning to lead
Giving to others, her love and hope
(Vax Verse)
A Half-Elf rogue, legendary are his blades
Deal with a god, it was made
Love was found, then ultimately lost
At the end, showing love to all the most
(Chorus)
(Scanlon Verse)
A bard of a gnome is he
Music and song is his trade
Fought with his friends to defeat a god
And gave up what he wanted most of all
(Trinket Verse)
Rescued, as a cub, by Vex
From a life of slav'ry and cruelty
Never forgotten, always loved
So much that a statue was made
(Chorus)
(Kima/Allura Verses)
A Halfling lost in Underdark
Found after many days
Rough 'round the edges she be
Loyal to the end, is her way
Gentle arcanist in her tower
Always giving aid
From Emon to Vasselheim
When in trust, they called her name
(Chorus)
(Gilmore Verse)
Glorious sorcerer in his store
Nearly lost his life, when dragons came
Always looking to expand his wares
Never doubted the truth or the fame
(Chorus, ×2)

What an amazing journey, I am sorry it took me so long to get here, I kept stopping to look at the pretty scenery:)
😭💙
My first critical role campaign is campaign 3 and in my down time im catching up on campaign 2 and I know I won’t have the “first time nostalgia everyone had” but I hope when I come back to this song at the end it holds the same emotional affect
As someone who was in the exact same boat, don't worry, it will.
I suggest finishing C2 before episode 100 of C3 because it looks like that story comes back.
It will, my friend, it will💜
Miss these guys, hope they'll eventually do that Darktow one-shot the talked about
That would be fun! Wish we had gotten a little more Avantika!
I am soooo impatient for this premiere! The next three hours can't pass quickly enough... :)
LOL Your excitement brings me joy.
@@MegamiOfficial And soooo very worth the wait. Outstanding y'all! 😍
This might just be my favorite homage to campaign 2 I have found yet. It is so good
😭 Thank you so much!
It’s been about a year since I finished campaign 2, and I’m just now finding this. I nearly teared up watching this; this is a beautiful tribute to the story of the Nein.
This deserves so many more views, what you've done here is a beautiful tribute to the 9, glad I stumbled onto it!
Thank you very very much!
I finished c2 a month ago or so, and listening to this made me tear up
I mean hell, I got a Halfling alchemist and now I'm gonna sing this for my D&D group. "This is a song about heroes from, supposedly, another world."
Yaaaaaaaaasssss!!! 👏🥳
Who's excited? ME I'M EXCITED
*sees link from Mercer in YT*
*clicks and is greeted by this song*
*immediate tears up and sings along, much to the annoyance on the room mate*
*subs*
just found this song recently but wanted to say thank you for making this its really good, i love the lyrics and the soothing tune in the background, i would personally love to see the actual cast sing this wonderful song anyway brilliant work and i cant wait to listen to more of your pieces
Dammit! Now I gotta rewatch the whole campaign!
But for real, this is amazing. One of the few stories to bring tears to my eyes.
Thank you!! We worked very hard to bring this song to life. Very grateful for the Mighty Nein.
Same here brother. I will never forget the mighty nein
Marking my place here before this gets the million views it deserves
Consider your place marked! ^-^
Don't mind me, just revisiting this again and getting all emotional. Thank you for letting me be a part of this beautiful tribute to the Nein
Awww. I should be thanking you for all of your contributions! Always happy to have you on board for a project. 😊 You're amazing!
Bra-FUCKING-vo!
Absolute perfection.
The little Jester oversharing ad lib at the end was the pièce de résistance.
Im so glad you liked it! 😂
This gave me the warmest feeling, I’m so happy
this sounds like it would be the finale of a Mighty Nein musical! This has me in tears omg... beautiful work
💙🙏
This song is fantastic! I miss the M9 so much, they were phenomenal, and this song does condense them so perfectly with the emotion.
Maybe it has to do with the roller coaster the Bell’s Hells have taken us on the past few weeks but this really took me back to the Nein and definitely made me tear up. I didn’t realize how much I missed C2.
They are really something special to me. C3 just isn't the same
Truly this captivates their story. What amazing years
Welp, I've found the song I'll be playing on repeat for awhile
😄 Thank you!!
This is wonderful, so bittersweet, I'll never forget these characters.
Not me crying right now.
This story will stay with me for a long time. 💙
It's like my 30th rewatch and I'm only just noticing Essek has his simple soup. Love it.
😭❤ Thank you so much!
I can’t wait to retake this journey 😁
Absolutely same here!!!
Phenomenal job!
I’m sure CR has given you a shout out for this, and I’m really hoping they use this for the Mighty Nein series finale.
Thank you! I honestly don't think any of the cast has seen it. I would love it if they did though. 🤩
@@MegamiOfficial, I mean, they’ve admitted to watching some of the rap battles so chances are they may listen to this at some point if they haven’t already. They stay in the loop of their fan base pretty well; don’t forget, No Mercy Percy came from the fans, as well.
@@sullymast4672 I know for sure that Matt tuned into one of our Critical Role concerts (@TheCantata) when we were raising money for Amnesty International. We did another huge collab piece called "Hymn of the Nein" that I helped write lyrics for. Really proud of that one, too. Hope they got to listen.
I don’t know what it is, but this song and the All My Friends Mollymauk animatic wrench at my heartstrings so hard. It’s like, it’s actually HARD to watch them because they make me feel soooo much! You did wonderful on this!
😭 That's such great praise. Thank you so much. I hope most of those are good feels, at least, so you can bear to watch/listen every now and again.
@@MegamiOfficial A month later, I'm still making my way back so I think they're good! Thank YOU, for creating such an encapsulating song.
😭 My heart strings. ❤️
@@MegamiOfficial I'm 20 episodes from finishing the campaign and I came back to this--BUT NOW I'M CRYING AAAAAA
@darkexo0916 It will really hit hard once you finish it. Glad you've come back to listen! 😁
Bless the UA-cam algorithm for finally showing me this!
😁 Make sure to sub so you don't miss big future projects!
And now I cry.
This was amazing!
This was absolutely beautiful and I'm sorry I didn't find it sooner! Absolutely subbed!!
🙏 Thank you so much!! 💙
Found this 2 years late, doesnt make it hurt any less. I miss the mighty nein so much
Oh I can't believe I'm finding it just now.
What a journey it’s been indeed. There were Nien, and by the Gods were they Mighty! Long May He Reign!
I wasn't around for Vox Machina and came in with the Moghty Nein, but there are many, many moments which stand out to me.
Just when I thought I was over campaign 2 this pops up in my recommended 😭😭😭😭 it’s so beautiful
Having a real hard time connecting to campaign 3 the way I did campaign 2... i miss these guys
I'm partial to campaign 2 as well. Long live the Mighty Nein.
Episode 30 is about when I started REALLY caring, it took me almost a year to get through the first parts of the campaign because there was so much new stuff going on. I'm totally invested now.
I just found this reminiscing about C2 and I love it so much!
I miss them so much, this song is so beautiful and brings me to tears every time I hear it.
With the announcement of the Mighty Nein getting a show some time ago poping into my head, as well as this song playing in my head, I had a thought:
Damn, can’t wait for somebody to make a amv with this song after
Ive listen to this song few times in the past but i just finished campaign 2 and the song just has a whole new feel to it
Aww, thank you so much!
Tears in my eyes and a glass raised to the skies. This is magnificent. Thank you for sharing your talents. ❤️
Yes!! Raise a glass!! 😭🍻🎶
That was such a good time!!
Vox Machina was fun, but I really feel like the Mighty Nein was what lit the fans brains on fire. The creativity from this Fandom is one of its best features.
Just like you never forget your first doctor....you never forget your first campaign.
This song will never not make me very happy ❤
Muh heart
Literal tears from the very beginning. 10/10 would cry again.
Ahhhhhh!! Excitement!
Idk why, but I get so choked up when I listen or even sing along to this song x'D
Apparently it has that affect on some people. ^-^ You're not alone friend.
Just finished Campagin 2 and cant believe its over
It sure was a wild ride.
I'm not crying you are
Always.
Jesus christ I'm balling crying rn. The Mighty Nein... are like nothing else.
Thank you very much! A lot of people worked on it to be able to tell the story. So glad that you enjoyed it!
I can’t explain to you how much this gives me chills and makes me tear up.
Awww. I'm glad it is well received.
Ngl. Caleb’s verse made me cry in the gym
🔥😭💗
I haven't even watched c2 yet but this is so catchy!
You’re missing out, it’s absolutely fantastic and very different from 1 or what we’ve seen of 3 and it’s absolutely my favourite (although maybe because it was my first I’m a little biased)
The ambience of this song is delightful! It made my heart feel warm to hear.
Thank you so much! It was a feat to achieve. Every singer was in a different location. Everything was done separately and then compiled.
@@MegamiOfficial Wow, that makes it even more impressive! What an awesome collaborative effort!
It took months to make. Worth it. 😊
@@MegamiOfficial Really? I had no idea making songs was so involved.
This is just the best. Thank you for bringing this into the world.
(Also C3 has been absolutely fantastic so far!)
Also i just saw you put the guitar chords in the description, tysm for that!
You've got a lot of episodes ahead of you! It was a great story. I hope you get to watch it all the way through. Thank you! We did put a lot of work in so it's great to know it's appreciated.
This is one of the only songs... that can make my stoic heart cry... 🥲
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Criminally Underated :) Good job!
Very much appreciated! Thank you!
@@MegamiOfficial No thank you. Had this on loop tonight while studying and it made the whole process a lot less painful xD
🎶🥳👐
Beautiful
Thank you! It was a joint effort on behalf of a lot of people.
