In terms of Canadians mostly paying in cash, there was a warning going around about paying with card instead of cash. Apparently, last year, some vendors' machines were charging in USD instead of CAD. So you can imagine the shock to some attendees' bank accounts after AN
I was shocked at how long the AN vlog turned out lol! But no complaints here ♥ Your decent into madness and delululand was really funny. Glad to have met you and Mary Ann at your booth on day 1~ Please don't look down at your art and style, there were so many artists at AN this year! It was so hard to not buy something from each booth :') y'all, when I tell you how embarrassed I was at how indecisive I was at picking out items from Cissy's sticker catalogue 😅 (This year my husband and I agreed on no prints) But now I regret not snagging a couple from Cissy >.< anyways, I'm glad you had a great time in Toronto overall! :D & Happy Birthdaaay!!! 🥳

i remember logn time ago when i used to travel with my button supplies i'd load them into the carry on since they don't weight that along with my heaviest stuff into the carry on like prints lol. so then i'd be tryign to hoist this 50lb carry on into the bin lmao. was it safe, no. did i have to pay for an extra bag tho, also no. now i just make the stock of buttons i wanna have with me lol, much easier.

Hope you had a great time. Looked like a lot of fun. I liked that you left in the two of you being zany. Yeah, cash is big at conventions and markets here. Partially it is budgeting but also people are worried about security and trust with transactions. While debt, credit and tap are big at restaurants, retail, and big box stores, cash is seen as safer when in doubt.
it was a ton of fun, mary ann definitely kept my spirits up when I was feeling tired / down! that's fascinating that cash is huge in canada - new yorkers could never 😅
I don't recommend taking card payments if you don't have a Canadian bank account!! On the plus side, the majority of my payments were actually in cash so I think you could get away with only accepting cash payments :)
