Thank you all for watching! Find the hidden Lockley(s)! Massive Rise of Ronin UA-cam stream tomorrow! (sorry for the reupload, had to fix a couple things)
My theory is, that the big guy boss is an ex-Russian soldier from Russo-Japanese War that was captured, but decided to stay in Japan and work in the factory ( possibly became an enforcer for Yakuza?)
Wife is hilariously adorable. 1:29 I CAN FIX HER!! 1:42 Gah-Dehmiii. Lol 3:36 “Ugly Culture Union” 🤣 3:44 People just fighting in the streets? THIS IS A COBRAI KAI ORIGINS GAME! 7:05 This is how fights in Cobra Kai start. Just out of nowhere. Lol
I’m excited for this. RGG has been on a role for a while now with its Yakuza/LAD games. Hopefully this will be good too. If this game comes out in 2025, we get this and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii all in the same year. RGG could have another GOTY nomination in 2025
It really looks like a very cool game. I never imagined I'll be able to see a rendition of pre-industrial Japan like how it happened in the UK, with rails on the ground and all of that. A game about 1915 Japan wasn't something I expected. And as always, Wife is very knowledgeable. My brain feels enriched with her knowledge aaaaa Oh noes the protagonist is a blue eyed DEMON.
11:07 Nameless Wife has amazing taste in music~ HYDE is still my favorite singer from Japan 21 years later. Kasou is still an amazing song, going to go listen to it again now.
The weapons combined with actual martial arts makes it feel like a Japanese variation of Sleeping Dogs just set in early 1900s Japan instead of the early 2000s Hong Kong
the bit where you hear about how the emperor's daughter is living in the states (oh no), in New York (Oh No) and spends tons (OH NO) of taxpayer money (OOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOOO). on a less serious note, I love these videos so much. I feel like I learn (and retain! very important!!!) a lot of Japanese history from you guys. And it's always funny to listen to a non-gamer nitpick game mechanics because like... how would they know? HOW WOULD THEY KNOW THAT YELLOW PAINT IS FOR QUALITY OF LIFE?!?! lolololol
There were some scenes where there is no subtitle while wife was talking. I am not sure if it waas because she said it in english after but I just wanted to let you know if it was a mistake.
I found out later that Wife didn't know what 11ft was, so she assumed I meant 'big dude' lol The guy in the video is exaggerated, but she meant along the lines of big foreigners were in Japan during Taisho era
I'm noticing all the smoke stacks in the background, and the one fight scene that looks like it's in some type of steel mill. Was this era part of Japan's industrial period?
I played a lot of the ryu ga gotoku games and you can see a lot Of black NPC walking around in those games and far more than I saw in Tokyo when I spent hours walking around Tokyo in 2017 …..my longest walk in Tokyo was 13 hours. Tokyo is safe so I had no problems walking around a night and I talked to a lot of Japanese police officers asking for directions and chatted with a few for over 30 minutes…..😅 the only foreigners i met that could speak Japanese in Tokyo were Nigerian, Indian and Korean.
This might be as close as we get to a Gangs of New York (movie) game, nice. Would love a Golden Kamuy game myself, especially if it features that very male shootout between two men. Considering the fundoshi and general manly great theme my wildcard is that they license Sanbagarasu Otoko Uta for the karaoke. Great vid.
Wasn't the Taisho era the one with the fights between the people and the unions and the zaibatsu in which a lot of anti capitalist sentiment was drawn too Like when the shin Tonyare bushi was written
I'm totally ignorant of almost all Japanese history (outside of Golden Kamuy goated show watch it now!) but the train track street is giving me some Gangs of New York vibes as well so I wonder if that played an influence.
Step one for UBIsoft ….make fun games Step 2 : stop claiming to be historically accurate and say it is historical fiction and things are changed for gameplay and story telling and respect the culture I never really cared for any Ubisoft games and always found to be boring.
Thank you all for watching!

This is lowkey one of my most hype game in TGA, alongside the new Onimusha
Me too, man. Shame we have to wait until 2026 for both of them.
Onimusha is definitely one to watch!
ONIMUSHA!!! I really hope they don’t mess it up! It’s been too long.
Lol that Lockley cameo at 9:36. Hope u guys will try out Ryu ga Gotoku someday, its a really fun game with lots of comedy in it.
thank you!
it's definitely on the radar!

Trailer was interesting, hopefully it comes out good in the end. But for now, gonna wait for more gameplay trailers!
It’s made by RGG for me it’s a insta buy they make kino.
Same. I will skip it if it's a turn based

I was waiting for your hyper analysis xD
Thank you so much!

When it comes to poopysoft I identify as non-buynary 🇨🇦
Miya san miya san 🎶
As long as game is not made by western B専, they will get my attention 😂
It's cool you guys got DRU now
They're a great team!
Taisho era, reminds me of Sakura Taisen back then on Sega Saturn
Now I fell like a living fossil in a smartphone era .....
Love to learn things about Japan, and this is the perfect channel for it ))
Thank you so much!

it was intentional, since we verbally translated later
thank you for keeping an eye out!

明治前後の官庁の洋風建築感でてますよね。北海道の赤レンガ庁舎みたいな。
11:12 natsukashi 😂😂
Foreigners from where? Are they part ogre from some fantasy world?
Probably a healthy American/euro from the 1980's muscle beach transported to taisho-era japan.
Mr. Shakedown grandfather
I found out later that Wife didn't know what 11ft was, so she assumed I meant 'big dude' lol

The name for that square, might refer to the ps controller buttons

OK...I've got a great idea.
Do a drunk Japanese review of the 2003 movie "The Last Samurai".
Guess there will be no nostalgia here.
10:24 Ah.
Yeah, we need more games that set in Taisho era. There were several old games set in Taisho like Sakura Wars and Shin Megami Tensei Kuzunoha Raidou
Wasn't the Taisho era the one with the fights between the people and the unions and the zaibatsu in which a lot of anti capitalist sentiment was drawn too
Like when the shin Tonyare bushi was written
Just tin time for my 10 min break to smoke at work :D
