Believe it or not, this is the loudest ipod they've ever made. It's great for music in the car. Nothing much else. Still a great ipod even today

Seth Wellington because the phone is a /lot/ newer for one, and iPhone was originally designed around being an iPod that’s also a phone to begin with, thus will always have great and periodic audio quality improvements.

The nice thing about these old ipods? The ultra expensive stereo systems that use the 30 pin connectors can be found at thrift stores for dirt cheap!

Beautiful gadgets, you wanted to hold them you wanted to buy them. Apple has lost that feeling. That scroll wheel, so easy to navigate. If youre a musician you can search songs so easy. Ipads and laps are too cold. I own the classic and nanos. You can get them dirt cheap nowadays.
I still have the green ones still working fine after 12 years

iPod nano gen 3 is kinda tempting to get cuz is so cheap anyways maybe find some better battery to fit into it

I think the iPod Nano 3rd Gen had eMMc flash storage rather than an SSD but I might be wrong

eMMC is still technically solid state storage
Emmc is very slow

Hey, how are you able to put music on the 3rd gen nano? I found my old one and wish I could use it, but I cannot seem to put any music on it.
You have to plug it into a computer that has iTunes on it. Open iTunes, and click the iPod icon in the corner. It will show up once you plug it in.
If you don't feel like buying your music from iTunes there's a lot of sites online that you can check out so you can download all the songs that you want (well that can fit in your ipod 😅)

You can dig around on eBay for these. You can find one in good condition for less that $40 sometimes.

What is Rock box on ipod classic ?
Rockbox is a custom operating system that sits on top of the normal firmware. I haven’t dove into it yet.
