Hi. My name is Darek and in this video I'll show you how I did The ROCKET STOVE HEATER to my workshop.
If you have not heard about the rocket stove, be sure to look for information on the Internet. The wellmade rocket stove can heat up very strongly, burning a little wood.
I'm very pleased with the end result, It works very well!
The main materials which I used:
    - A square tube 120x120x3 mm
    - A pipe 120x5 mm
    - A pipe 150x0,5 mm
    - An old water tank 300x2mm

Not only an advanced rocket stove, but I think that's the most I've ever seen anyone do with just an angle grinder and stick welder! That one build paid for the tools, for sure! Ah, I'm a retired guy in Florida, USA. I teach "shop" and fabrication technique to engineering students. I have so much welding equipment and so many tools, but you're doing much more with much less! I like your stove, it looks like the wood can feed itself for a long time, and you have some control of the air coming in, which most rocket stoves do not. Good design!

Well, if you teach shop LP, why no comments on his safety factor? Really, grinding and welding with no gloves? Common man, that is just BS! That being said, this project is worthwhile, just be careful guys, Iv'e got the the weld burns to prove it, and that was with protective gear.

I was raised in a cabinet/wood shop. I am going to have to check out some more of your builds. thanks for the upload. I loved everything except the music. I must also say I am impressed that you chose to use a real man's welder. you know one that takes real skill. if you can only afford 1welding machine best make it a stick. Almost anyone can make do with a mig. it takes skill to run a stick.

Cattle farmer from Australia (family fled Poland prior to WW1) Nice job! A link for plans would be great. I have made a simple rocket stove for the wife, but chimney is also rhs and as such for me does not draw properly without the cylindrical chimney. Will do a remake at a later date.
The one thing I have noticed about having a rocket stove is that we, 1. Save on lpg and 2. we pick up a lot of sticks and wood out of the paddocks that would otherwise get burnt by bushfires etc!

Great video, awesome simplistic yet efficient design. One of the best i've seen so far i think.
Could you PLEASE make another video where you explain in general how it works and maybe an update on how it has been performing?
I mean i get the general idea of it all, but i'd love to hear your personal vision.

Thanks for the great video Darek. I've thought of using something like this for a sauna stove. I'd enclose the gas balloon in a mesh cage filled with rock. The balloon body would be the only part of the stove actually in the sauna. Feeder and oxygen draw would come from the other side of the wall. Do you see any reason why this wouldn't work?

Nice design but unfortunately any riser made of metal will be severally damaged within a year. I have seen several made and the outcome is always the same. Research more and you will see.
Simply put clay mix with high heat refraction cement and perlite will last much longer. Steel never could never withstand the test of time.

To improve this stove you can add a "Sand Battery" to it which will allow it to continue to put out heat even after the fire goes out. Take a 15 to 20 centimeter pipe, cap 1 end, split it lengthwise down the middle, weld each half to the outside of the barrel and fill with sand. The fire will heat the sand and then the sand will release the heat.

I was wondering how the burn chamber would handle the high temperatures as it appears to be just steel? Does not steel oxidise at temps that the vortex operates at, that is why most designs use fire brick or some kind of fire proof concrete for the burn chamber and vortex box. You did a great design and engineered it really well, I just wonder about the choice of materials...

Nice build! I also build stuff out of scrap metal like a bandsaw mill & a greenhouse that turns to track the sun on my UA-cam channel am planning to build a water jacket RS for water heating soon . Keep up the good work 👍

I don't really get where the part where you see the vortex flame is filmed from? Is it from underneath?? It looks like the flame is coming from the right, and then spins away from the viewer.

Raczej solidny piec.
