I lost my gorgeous wife to cancer on Thanksgiving Day this past year. She was a devoted Nickleback fan, and like a lot of people, took a good bit of teasing over of it. But many of their songs spoke deeply to her, and in that, I became a fan through her as well. The release of this new album was one of her last happy occasions as she struggled with this terrible disease. We took a trip to St George Island the month before her death, and we listened to it all the way down. She knew I would love "Those Days" since I had been reminiscing fondly on my own teenage years lately. After her death, this became my favorite, and I took it as my own anthem to her in honor of her sprint and memory. I will see you again, my dear Christy. Those are the days I look forward to now.

Chad, I don't know what deep dark hole you had to go down to write this song, but I've been there. You are singing the words I yelled when I lost my angel. "Heaven if you hear me, give me back what's mine". You are an incredible song writer. You capture so much emotion in your songs. This whole album is phenomenal.

@@anthonyscappatura1215 I read an interview and it was his sister or a friend of hers that lost a child just before birth. They had a funeral for the child. That's where the song came from. Very sad story. The lyrics are brilliant and portray the emotions of such an event as though he is singing your words.

Not sure if it is true across the board, but for me this one is an ear worm. Which I love because it is also mentally stimulating, it creates quite the story, the whole album does, like each song is a chapter headed the same place, eg:"Does Heaven Even Know You're Missing?"
This is the 1st album ever I have loved start to finish and keep playing over and over. A masterpiece. This song cuts to the heart, but they all have wonderful, relatable stories.
