Bro, I feel that on as an experience I also felt. At 17 I underwent a treatment for the disease I am still suffering from and I flatlined during it. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks after and for 2 months before it i was getting transfusions nearly daily. I feel you brother, best of luck man. 3 years and I still haven't forgotten the feeling.

IDK i just feel like those could have been about something else. Don’t get the wrong idea. The songs themselves aren’t bad (hell i really enjoyed “next go round” and “Shakin’ hands”) i just believe that their spots could have been used by songs with other types of flow. Maybe another hard rock or ballad would not have hurt so much. But hey, Dark Horse did give us “Burn it to the ground” and “Just to get high” so i still liked the album for the most part Just throwing my 2 cents as a fan of them

In October of 2011 my father died. I accepted it as he had been ill for quite a while. I went off the deep end and allowed meth to imprison me. Less than 60 days later I got slammed again. I had only heard one or two songs by Nickelback until December 11th and I played "If Today Was Your Last Day". I know listened to it least a dozen times and said aloud "Little sister, I hope you're right with God". At 2:42 my phone rang and a doctor told me that my little sister was not going to make it thru surgery. Of course I was devastated. Then I realized that the song was playing on my computer. And something told me (God) that Cheree was fine. She did live each day as if it were her last. We played the song at her funeral. Now I listen to ALL of Nickelback's songs. Truthfully, their awesome heart filled music greatly helped me thru the worst time in my life.

Bro, I feel that on as an experience I also felt. At 17 I underwent a treatment for the disease I am still suffering from and I flatlined during it. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks after and for 2 months before it i was getting transfusions nearly daily. I feel you brother, best of luck man. 3 years and I still haven't forgotten the feeling.

True. Although i will say as a Nickelback fan that the “Dark Horse” was a little over saturated with sex songs, one is alright, two is ok. Four? IDK i just feel like those could have been about something else. Don’t get the wrong idea. The songs themselves aren’t bad (hell i really enjoyed “next go round” and “Shakin’ hands”) i just believe that their spots could have been used by songs with other types of flow. Maybe another hard rock or ballad would not have hurt so much.
But hey, Dark Horse did give us “Burn it to the ground” and “Just to get high” so i still liked the album for the most part

From 1 widow to another, take care of yourself, make sure to eat and drink often even if you dont feel the need to, rest, reach out if it gets too much and lean on those that are willing. In October of 2011 my father died. I accepted it as he had been ill for quite a while. I went off the deep end and allowed meth to imprison me. Less than 60 days later I got slammed again. I had only heard one or two songs by Nickelback until December 11th and I played "If Today Was Your Last Day". I know listened to it least a dozen times and said aloud "Little sister, I hope you're right with God". At 2:42 my phone rang and a doctor told me that my little sister was not going to make it thru surgery. Of course I was devastated. Then I realized that the song was playing on my computer. And something told me (God) that Cheree was fine. She did live each day as if it were her last. We played the song at her funeral. Now I listen to ALL of Nickelback's songs. Truthfully, their awesome heart filled music greatly helped me thru the worst time in my life.

Since not going to college I've moved away to the mountains crossed the continent 4 times, learned and love to snowboard, bicycled across 4 countries traveld to like 14, bought and lived on a sail boat, learned to sail, worked 23 + different jobs... loading airplanes, making wine, dilivering in the mountains, world equestrian championship, driving snow cats, met so many fucking good people, lived in tents, hostels, back packs, beaches, cars, big citys, country towns, shared homes, slept on side walks and cliff edges. Lemme tell you it hasn't been easy but its been a life worth living much better then the year in the factory I worked back when I had nothing but my bicycle and a shitty appartement with my mom. This fucken song wrote the script to the life I chose. I listened to it on repeat all the time before fucking off and doing something. Taking my life in my own hands. Ignoring nay sayers and non-supportive peopl, to my benefit and demise. Rolled with the punches and if I wasn't dying had food and a good night sleep I was happy enough, even through missery there are laughs. Rant over I love this fucken song!

I'm 57 and I LOVE Nickelback! My kids were teens during the years where Nickelback was new and I got to learn my kids music. Listening to Nickelback makes me remember my teenage kids on top of that, the band has so many outstanding songs. People who hate them follow a shitty trend & probably have NO idea why they "hate" them. They more than likely DO like them, and jam to them in private and "hate" them just to be a part of a trend.

My last words to him that I Still regret to this day were "I hate you". Not realizing that that would be the final time I would get to talk to him. Now I make sure to tell those I love that I love them.

If it happens to you, then it’s on you to keep yourself in a positive state of mind. If you do it, then it’s on you to learn from it and not fall into that spiral trap of history repeating itself. Losing a child is the most heartbreaking thing that can happen to a parent. I lost my beloved daughter almost 6 years ago. I loved her and can never "get over it". She was imperfect, as we all are, but a genuinely caring and sweet person. I pray she's somehow in a better place and I'll see her again. None of us knows.
