I followed your no touch stuff last year. It’s by far the best method. I used to be one of those automate everything. Check daily and screw with things the way that I and most on the internet think you do. It’s so much better.
Leave your house for a couple of days just as pins are barely visible and they will show up . The mushrooms love to surprise us to play hide and seek so play along. In nature the grass allows them to hide almost in plain sight until they become to big to hide any longer and they say here I am look at how many spores I can eject and how far I can spread myself in the wild wide open spaces of the prairies before returning to the confines of the subterranean underworld to gather and plan the next adventure into the light.

You ensure that the sub doesn't dry out by having it at least 3" thick and at field capacity. After a flush, you can rehydrate the cake by dunking it in water for 12-24 hrs to initiate another flush.
Hi! How much spawn and substrate do you use for these tubs? I used the same 2 qt spawn and 4 qt substrate. I only made one hole (1 inch), remembered wrong. I hope it still fine or shall I add another hole although it’s “going” already?
Hello, first timer here. Do you plug the holes until you see pinning then add the microppose or do you start off with the microppose filter from the start?
Perlite is not toxic and is used in certain grows but not in a mono tub like this. Bad idea actually. The moisture/humidity is generated by having the substrate at the proper field capacity.
Do you know what size micron filter those are? I’ve read only the .2 micron filters are effective at keeping out contamination as the P. Cubensis mushrooms are more susceptible to being contaminated.

Light is not a requirement for growth or fruiting. Ambient room light is sufficient. No fancy light setups or schedules.
how many pounds of bulk/spawn do you use for these?
Is this essentially the same as PastyWhyte ez dial tek?
I start with the filter uncovered
@@FunGuyFruits as in you leave the holes open?
@@FunGuyFruitsyeah Man that's a terrible answer to his question
Do you recommend using a base of perlite to retain more humidity? I don't know if that would be good or not because of its toxicity
Perlite is not toxic and is used in certain grows but not in a mono tub like this. Bad idea actually. The moisture/humidity is generated by having the substrate at the proper field capacity.
@@bybassman1842 Got it, tanks
does this work for grourmet mushrooms like lionsmane or oyster?
Do you need new 2" cotton pads every cycle you run.
Never replaced any
@FunGuyFruits thanks for reply that's ideal 👌
Do you know what size micron filter those are? I’ve read only the .2 micron filters are effective at keeping out contamination as the P. Cubensis mushrooms are more susceptible to being contaminated.
I opened my tub will it be ruined?
Will this method work with 80 qt bins?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t. Maybe two holes per long side
Man I've been waiting for this for like a year! I swear I will get PURE WHITE huge cakes, and they always frickin contam I live in the south so it's always hot n humid here, I was wondering if it was to hot, it's hard to keep it cool down here. I have some tubs colonizing now, I'll try this for sure and let you know I have to fill some more out in a few days, and I also never have luck with my Martha I have a outtake fan at the bottom and my inkbird and humidity coming out the top, I just don't get it 😭
Bro, I feel your pain! 😢
Maybe run a tub on the dryer side, see how that works? I've heard contams are usually a sign of being too wet...
Results?
What do you use for a substrate?
You just fae right away? And leave the gaskets closed? I noticed when I tried without fae right away it choked up the tub, cause of the gasket! I’m gonna fae right away, thank you!!!!
Those filters are allowing for FAE. Misting and fanning are not necessary.
for this tek do they need to have that seal lining on the lid? the ones i bought did but they’re a bit more pricy, and if that’s not necessary for the grow i’m just gonna take them back and get some cheaper ones
They don’t need the seal lining
So you don’t crack the gasket lids at all for fruiting?
Leave the lid on and let it alone
what kinda of petri dish is that
I noticed your not using liner's anymore in your tubs
How has that been for you??
I always been worried about side or bottom pins
The big tubs have liners they are just clear. In my test grows in shoeboxes no liner. I’ve started spraying the tops of my sub when I make the tubs. I want all the water on top to direct the energy there
Where do I get those filters???
I'm having an issue, how I. Earth are you guys attaching the filters. My super glue seems to not be functioning very well.
Maybe peel the plastic off the back of the filter.
Im definitely trying this, ive been wasting money on bags and overly checking them and just plan doing to much lol whats your affiliates by chhance?
