For those who are having trouble and do not have the Wi-Fi setting. For me at least on Android, I had to go and make sure that my Bluetooth setting for hotspot Internet tethering was turned on. What this does is allow the GPS to use your Bluetooth connection as an internet device. I also had some trouble where I had to have the machine running, but that might have been just me
YES! Great comment Android phones have a second setting in them for Bluetooth tethering that must be turned on.
Give this man the pin.... thank you
Great video! Thanks Kole
Great video ty
Great video, so do you have to re-turn on personal hotspot every time you want to send a new way point from the the 7s screen to your phone? And also turn back on personal hotspot every time you want to send a new waypoint from the ride command app on your phone to the 7S display?
Yes you will. You can keep your hot spot on but some phone carriers have to pay a fee if they have their hotspot on so thats why I turn mine off when its not in use.
Great tutorial, thank you
i would but my 23 vr1 boost s7 never came w the wifi chip.
How can I update my ride command with Wi-Fi I can’t seem to find out how. I have it synced but won’t let me update my machine or maps. And help would be appreciated.
Agreed, help!?
Thats a great question! I have played with this feature a few times and I have the same deal I cannot update the Ridecommand wirelessly. I have found it is easier to download the file to a USB drive and just plug it into the Ride Command screen to update the maps/ software.
You can't you have to use the computer and flash drive to update
Can I save rides into folders since we have sooooo many? Is there a satellite map available to load?
There is not a folder setting on the Ride Command screen. Yes, there is a satellite map but you have to have your phones hotspot connected to the Ride Command because it takes cellular data to load it.
How many times does it take for your Ride Command account log in and password take to connect?? I’ve done it about 50 times and it’s still saying failed to authenticate. Bluetooth is on and connected and Wi-Fi hotspot is also on. I don’t have a Wi-Fi logo just an account log in.
I gave this same issue. What's the fix?
If your Ride command doesnt have the manual Wifi button it can take some time to get it to connect for the first time. I first recommend folloing the video and let the phone sit by your unit for about 10 minutes if it still will not connect then I would try to update your software then retry.
@@Mr_Excellentfigure it out? Same issue here
@iDignifyCourage did you ever figure this out...been trying off and on for a month
@@bookerjdl updated software and it worked after
i am having issues getting my maps to show my actual location. I have it set for USA Central Time and GPS shows me in Vancouver even though I have synced my Ride Command phone app to the Polaris Ranger. I have updated the software and the maps. This is brand new machine, so not understanding why the GPS isn't finding my correct location. 2023 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 NS Ultimate w/Ride Command
I would suggest going back to the dealership and having them look at t a new GPS puck it sound slike yours has fialed.
I have a 2023 pro r ultimate and there is no wifi available and it won't connect to my Hotspot either. I've tried signing in dozens of times and it says invalid. Is there any secret to it? And why wouldn't mine have wifi? I don't understand and polaris had very little information about this
From what I understand the wifi button is not on all of the RideCommand screens due to the chip shortage. My snowmobile didnt have the wifi button either but when I would connect through Bluetooth and had my hotspot on at the same time I was able to connect my RideCommand account to the internet.
Having the same issue with my 2022 Turbo R there is no Wi-Fi option
Did you figure it out? I’m having problems with my 22 turbo r as well
@Tanner Manning I did. I contacted polaris and the told me 23 model yrs do not come with wifi because of chip shortages it may affect late model yr 22 models as well. They told me to try using your phone as a Hotspot like this tutorial suggests. It took me a bunch of attempts and was pretty frustrating but eventually it synced with my account and has been working well.
I have 2022 XP Pro. Same issue tried over a hundred times. Pretty irritating.
I don't have WIFI and it won't connect what can I try?
Make sure your phones blutooth is on and the wireless hotspot is turned on the, this will take a few minutes for the screen to pick it up.
Is it possible to see Polaris app users on the 7s?
Yes if you create a "group ride" on your 7S other riders in your group can use their phones with Ridecommand to link with you. This will allow you to see them on your screen and vise versa.
I have V2V with my wife’s sled, but my buddies all use there app. The only way their locations show up on my map is if I have my phone plugged into the back of the screen. Issue is then it shows me 2 times (1 my sled and 1 my phone). If I unplug my phone, I am down to 1 vehicle, but then I cannot see my buddies. Any idea how to fix this?
I haven't ran into this issue before. I wonder if your screen is needing cell service for it to stay connected to your buddies. I recommend trying to connect your hotspot to the screen and then have your buddies V2V to your sled.
what if your 7s does not have an option for wifi? 21 matryx assault
