Alfred saying "not in this lifetime" is so poignant and sad it honestly made me tear up. Because no Batman ever got to stop wearing the cowl until Christian Bale hung up in DKR. Even Keaton had to don it again for Flash.
There is the official comic book adapation of Batman Forever (where you can find and read online), where there are included some of the deleted scenes (and the order of the comic scenes is like the order from the original script), including the escape of Two Face from the Arkham Asylum, the scene with the Riddler who gives Chase the shot with the syringe and the original ending with Chase with Alfred (with that famous quote) and then Batman e Robin standing on a gargoyle with the city and the batsignal behind them, so I really believe it was made when the cut of the film was still the one wanted by Schumacher and not the one later modified by Warner.

But it is a blink and you miss it moment as we see Sugar and Spice run away as the lair is destroyed.
I could see it happen at some point. If they think there's money to be made, they'll do it. The film's 30th anniversary is coming in 2025, so that might be the perfect time for it. Plus, WB have done alternate cuts for films before with the Donner for Superman II, extended tv cut for Superman: The Movie, and Snyder cut, obviously. Fingers crossed, they'll eventually add the Schumacher cut to that list.
I actually don't remember seeing that shot of Robin getting closure from Two-Face's death. I remember it cut immediately from the wide of him falling into the pit to Arkham Asylum,.

Personally I think with the right director they all could do great/different performances. Including Clooney, he was going for an Adam West style it seemed. Which could have worked with the way Marvel makes lighter hero movies. I love all the scenes of Kilmer in the batcave. They seemed to get his best dramatic work there.
Oh. Now the final scene with the hologram floor makes that part of the movie so much sense now. I always wondered why the floor disappeared for no reason in the theatrical cut

Still so crazy how the studio saw Forever as more "Family Friendly" When it was just as if not even more erotic than returns between the sexualization of the batsuit (nipples butt etc), comments like "black rubber", Two Faces girls in lingerie etc.
I'd love if they started making animated films out of unused scripts like Superman Lives or Batman Unchained. Use the same design style as if were made back then. I think those would be a hit because so many of us have read about those potential films.
To me it sounds like what we got is the best version of the movie. I enjoy Forever and definitely have a soft spot for it, but boy does that movie drag in parts. I think the pacing sounds slower in this cut, especially how it doesnt start with the vault heist. The cut sounds like it has it moments but overall we got the best timeline. Would still watch if it got released for sure tho
Definitely a slower pace in the Schumacher Cut. I can see why they deleted the things that they did for the theatrical. Someone to the deleted scenes did help smooth the pace out a bit but in truth they probably could cut a bit more… I’m looking at you Nicole Kidman scenes lol

If I ever get time, I'd love to re-score this film with new music. Goldenthal's original score was great fun, and perfect for the high camp Theatrical Release, and I'd definitely include his epic main theme. But I'd love to create a version of the score that plays more to the real emotion behind the characters, building more of a mysterious, gothic, slightly haunting soundscape that connects with the first two movies. I'm talking vocal choruses, church organs, etc. With my score I'd attempt to really tap into the madness of the villains, treating them as though they were dangerously mentally unstable, so no matter how outrageous their performance is, it's shown as threatening rather than fun and wholesome.

This copy of the Schumacher Cut came from the editing stage so the deleted scenes hadn’t been touched up yet. However I was watching in the theatre on a big screen and it didn’t bother me. Getting Warner Bros to remaster those scenes probably won’t happen unless we get an official release.
Hopefully, we get the Schumacher Cut released on Blu Ray. If it took 19 years for us to get the official release of the Producers Cut of Halloween 6, we should be able to get this. Maybe in a couple of years for the 30th anniversary of Batman Forever, we'll get it.

My favorite batman was always ben affleck ,because he had the size ,bulk and intimidation and everything batman 🦇 was in the 90's animation ,also batman forever was ok ,and it had it's moments now with batman and Robin I did not like at all ,because it felt rushed and the nipples on the suit looked weird .
That’s the toughest part of this movie to get over. Tommy Lee Jones who is a great dramatic actor could have balanced Jim Carey’s over the top role with a serious Two Face.

Even as a teenager in 1995 I didn't like this movie. I tried watching it a few weeks ago on a streaming service and it was so godawful I turned it off. With that said this is a masterpiece to the utter trash that is Batman & Robin.

My favorite batman was always ben affleck ,because he had the size ,bulk and intimidation and everything batman 🦇 was in the 90's animation ,also batman forever was ok ,and it had it's moments now with batman and Robin I did not like at all ,because it felt rushed and the nipples on the suit looked weird .

That’s the toughest part of this movie to get over. Tommy Lee Jones who is a great dramatic actor could have balanced Jim Carey’s over the top role with a serious Two Face.

Joel Schumacher, the Franchise-Killer. Well, he's gone now, so he can do no more harm. It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, and you don't have to like it or agree with it. Nicole Kidman in a bed sheet was the best part of the flick.

Batman 89 was the best it truly was the car in Forever was just awful in design. Lee Jones 2 face was awful and Jims Riddler was as well

Even as a teenager in 1995 I didn't like this movie. I tried watching it a few weeks ago on a streaming service and it was so godawful I turned it off. With that said this is a masterpiece to the utter trash that is Batman & Robin.
I actually enjoy Forever in its own way. But we can definitely agree that next to Batman and Robin in looks like Citizen Kane 😄
I agree. I saw this twice in the cinemas in 1995 but have just never enjoyed it in any level.
