The quality of the e conte ( storyboard ) comes from Miyazaki Hayao beeing first an animator. That's why his movies are so action driven and why he can depict the feeling he needs in the scene so accurately. Don't forget he had been mentored by the amazing Ôtsuka Yasuo, one of the best japanese animator ever, who, by the way, animated the cars in this movie.

I'm not able to both draw quickly and talk at the same time so this was a good alternative for me!
