I find it amazing that humanity found a way to turn skipping records into an ArtForm with its own invented effects and made a way where even more things can be done with music, to me in a weird way it proves that we as human beings have No limitations in what we can make or accomplish.
you make it look so easy...
I love that this humble gent says "he's not an expert"...🤣. Yes. Yes you are, and an excellent teacher as well.
Mad skills DJ Angelo, thank you!!!
when i first started djing i would call phasing the airplane effect because it sounded like an airplane passing over.
bringing back the old school tricks!
Bought Turntables because of your videos, Thanks!!
You can achieve similar effect as Doubling up with a beatmasher effect on your effect unit/Serato/Traktor program + midi controller...of course simply hitting pads and turning knobs will never be that "showish" for your audience like playing with your records and a crossfader ;)
Just watched the entire tutorial series! Amazing stuff DJ ANGELO. From the proper set-up of equipment in #1 to vinyl vs. mixer scratch techniques, to beat juggling and trick mixing. This 90's club DJ is inspired, pulling the dusty SL1200's off the shelf and ordering a pair of M447's.
Thank you for sharing your skill and inspiring others.
Passando pra deixar meu 'LIKE' , valeu ?!?! Até + brou, 1 HUG.
Can anyone explain why DJs always twist the spindle? Are you just trying to very slightly change the pitch for a moment to beat match?
+kendo512 yes that's why
+Eric Aguilar YOU ANSWERED THAT QUESTION CORRECTLY
Very clever dude
I’ll dig out my mums Elvis albums and give it a go lol
Fantastic! True Dj hero!
I've Watched this many Times
I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate from this comment, but this was really helpful for digital DJing too!
Nope.. No hate lol
wow - first time I've seen any of these techniques. I am blown away!
That was beautiful my brotha;you are a true master of the turntables, peace!!!!!!!!!
Always 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍it's a crazy skill..greeting from indonesia✌️
you are my idol🙏🙏🙏
you make me want to step my game up and fast... my turntables broke so now im rockin crappy digital tables that effect from real turntables the actual break or pause button its like that one song you never know whats you got until its gone digital tables dont have that
Hey Angelo, could you make some drum-scratch tutorials? pls :(
or you know when you hit power off and the record still spins that natural sound of bpm goin down thats nice
That is the e brake, you can adjust how abrupt or how slow pretty much on technics, little bug is, if you have them adjusted too ''tight" the magnets start to reverse polarity and wobble back and forth, kind of sounds like skratching without touching the platter...
PROPS FOR SHARING KNOWLEDGE.ITS GOOD SO PEOPLE CAN IMPROVE.WHEN I CAME UP YOU'D BE LUCKY TO GET THE DMC TAPES.CHEERS
you are a legend bro!!! watched this so many times and still can find something new to learn ! btw is the bonus video still available to purchase ?
I am a guitarplayer, but i think this is amazing. I wish someday i will have enough time and money to learn some things like this
nice!!!!
Cheers !
Bpm Supreme Record Pool
Brilliant!!!!!!!
nice video man. thanks for posting this.
Thanks Angelo for sharing so generously.. Peace! You have just taught me more techniques than all my 8 years of spinning in my early days.. I never could figure it out. Trust me when I say, NO ONE was willing to share back in those days...
I'm with ya, i have been djing for 15 years off and on - only real serious in the last 2. but aint no one sharing or breaking it down like that in my day. Thanks Angelo;)
Dope! I'm licking my lips over a new turntable once I buy it I will not go out of my room until I master my own rutine using those techniques. Thank you so much for the scratch tutorial. I learned how to scratch watching your videos. ;)
Vídeo aula very crazy kkkk
TY man what level ive hit with your tutorials. you are truly the first dj iv study under so far!!
It has everything you need to learn and practice. Buy it and support this great man!
Yo I commented on your other video but I think this tutorial would work better with editing out curse words. I do lots of weddings and kid parties and usually the parents don't want to hear the shit, damn, ass, hell, etc words. I usually try to get clean stuff before hand but it'd be nice to be able to do it on the fly in case I don't. Ya know? Great vids by the way! you've inspired me to get scratching. Thanks much.
Trick mixing, especially Phasing & Doubling Up also sound great with techno. Thank you for making these tutorials Angelo. Especially this one, I’ve had hours of fun chopping up bangin’ tunes. I don’t know why more techno dj’s don’t do tricks like these. Like I said, it’s so much fun! Dave Clarke used to absolutely kill it with doubles of techno tunes on vinyl. I’m 43 & haven’t been out raving in a long time so I don’t know if still does. I’d imagine he still does though.
Au top je m en lasserai jamais
still watching in 2023!
Top knotch
This video got a copyright claim, all because you're a DJ.
Mad Respect....Big Ups DJ Angelo....great videos, thanks for your help.....
🔥 🔥🔥 🔥🔥 🔥🔥 🔥🔥 🔥🔥 🔥 Thanks for these videos, greetings from Colombia
IMPRESSIVE!
6:00 I do this with my doubles of garage vinyls to compete with the file jockey's and their sampler deck's..
Hmm you do what I do etc man handle the spindle for speed accuracy. I'll be honest and say I haven't seen many DJs do that.
Nothing more to say.
how do you use your headphones in this case? I would think for 'Cue channel 2' the side that follows the master channel right?
I don't know ANYTHING about Djing but i know i do like it and i wish to learn more! Would this USB (flash drive) help me from the begining, how stuff work, what i need, and what each thing do?
Hello
I love your channel
Although I am Spanish and I do not speak english very well, your tutorials help me a lot to improve my style
Could you tell me where some page to buy or download themes for turntablismo and scrath
Thank you
regards
Hey man, are you by any chance still selling that usb drive?
Thank you for all of your tutorials!!! They have played a big role in my progression as a DJ. Keep doing what you do brother. Check out my channel sometime.
I understand waht your doing, however, how do you line them 2 songs up on each deck while a song is playing for the crowd? For exampl.... Dj Khaled song is on, now you wanna do the trick with the method and redman song...... How do you line that up? am i making sense? I have turntables....Just learning now, your vids help alot.....
Every nice tutorial On trick mixing👍🏾
On
Yo that's lit
Never knew these were considered tricks or a techniques. I just fooled around and if it sounded good I remember and practice it and have used these and more when I was younger. Although I've been out of it for about 23 years. Just got a used DJ controller not to long ago but looking at ascreen and looking a sound waves feel alien to me. It's like I have to find a new ways to do old things and be comfortable using it. Still nothing beats the sound of turntables IMO but I don't have the means to get into it like that. So I use my controller just to fool around and do mini mixes. Glad you have videos like this. I will be watching more of them soon.
I'll be ordering the Training Tool. Getting my digital set up soon. Have to fix the mixer, but then later I'm going full vinyl and CD DJs as a back up or as an addition to my kit. You inspired me to use both and ease into it.
Hello I am considering purchasing you how to DJ video series but I really am hoping a song list of the instrumentals and the records you use are included. i want to buy those records you used in the video so i can practice exactly how you teach it thank you so much
Angelo è un nome italiano 🇮🇹 😀
Thanks (I know it's a bit late) but very well done.
this is a really good tutorial.. thanks man
I got myself one of those usbs. Great tutorials. Real clear, exquisite work. Thanks Angelo
If working with slower beats 60-80 BPMs, you can kind of do a shuffling double up pattern.
You just set the second record slightly less than 1/16th of a beat ahead (i think 16th note triplet is the correct term) and cut over and back on every triplet. Sounds pretty good, but like i said, only works good for slower beats.
great video man!! mad props, my favorite routine is break jugglein and scartchin the snares to make tripplets you take it to the next level tho
I've fallen in love.
6:00 With Garage it's best doing half beat.
Damn man thats effortless! I really wish i could mix like this!
