- Copper Harbor gets a lot of the glory on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but Marquette is loaded up with a bevy of great trails. Thanks to my Patrons for making this trip possible: / bkxc

Hats off to Liam riding that on a hardtail!
I've shredded many tires on mqts trails on a hardtail, wonder what pressure he's running lol.
Came to say the same thing, gotta love a nice AM hardtail!
I ripped a nukeproof scout hardtail in Marquette and copper harbor lol my legs were numb for days but it took the abuse
im about to order a 2019 nukeproof scout race, cant wait
@@freeridetheu.p.126 cush core changed my life on hardtails
It's called "Flow" for not which the trail is, but what you yourself must possess to ride it.
Chunder Muffin looked awesome! Trails like this make my bucket list grow.
Haha hell yes, I'm doing my job!
Some more great trails from the UP, great job Brian! Plenty of chunk in the Chunder! LOL
Marquette nice! Come back for the Marji Gesick 100
MQT yess
You can spend a couple says in Copper Harbor, but you could spend nearly a week in Marquette riding different trails.
MQT all day !
Spot on, I've been to Copper 3 times now, and 2-3 days you can easily do everything there including the point trails etc. (That said, Rock Solid is building a bike park so many we will need more time there) but I've only been to Marquette once and barely put a dent in the South trails. My next trip will probably just be Marquette. It's also 2 hours closer for me. That makes it doable on a weekend trip instead of needing 2 days off work.
Chunder, chunder, chunder, chunder
I was caught
In the middle of a rough single track
I looked round
And I knew there was no turning back
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you
Sound of the drums
Beating in my heart
The chunder of rocks
Tore me apart
You've been
Chunderstruck
hahahahaha yes!
Shut up
That's gotta be on my bucket list! By far my favorite trail I've seen you do so far! That looked Gnarlee!
Yeah, we got tricked by that "Flow" trail too. Its chunky! Brian, thank you so very much for experiencing the sacred groves of Michigan's U.P.
I'm in MQT right now! First time riding here and it's chunderously glorious!
If you're going to Copper Harbor, you might as well hit Marquette.
I need another Michigan trip. Houghton and Marquette are on my list.
Neither will disappoint. The Michigan Tech trails in Houghton are flowy good fun. Churning Rapids, Hancock is right next door. Ishpheming and Swedetown, Calumet are also near Marquette. But, The Miners Revenge trail and Mine ride in Greenland is as techy as it gets.
I've ridden Sweedtown on my last MB trip to Copper Harbor.
Come on by
So flowy and FUN @NTN South trails! Wheeee!
That whole UP area looks like it’s full of good riding!
Nice! I'll be there again in 3 weeks for the fall enduro.
Yeah! Love Marquette... can’t wait to go back
That was nothing but chunk , trees root chunk and your favorite rock chunk !
Dude!!!! You are JUMPING for real!!! NICE!!!!
Nice riding.
My man Avery! What a guy
I wish I could get that much shade on my home trails.. I pretty much ride in the sun all the time. U r living the life man
That is some really interesting flow on the beginning of that ride. Don't think I've seen anything quite like it. Like you're always on your toes cause there's just so much going on. Sweet stuff.
Spectacular riding. I believe he said these are the “O-Qua Tangin Wann” area trails...Biavian Howard Stern fans will get it.
Love that Chunder Muffin trail, awesome!
Chunder Muffin. Great name for a trail! Great job Brian.
Well there is a trail called "your mom" up there, it's way better than chunder muffin too...yet still chundery.
Chundah Muffin looks like a blast to ride
Cool trails... No Dab and Flow reminds me of a local trail! Fun to see a little bit of everything you have over there in the states!
Very nice trails!! Great video B
So I hope you enjoyed Marquette and the quote on quote flow trail is my favorite trail
Your jumps looks sooooo smooth and it looks like your getting more air time then usual. Might be me but it looks like you improved DRAMATIACLY!!
Oh and awesome content like usual!
Definitely feeling better and better, those were probably the best/biggest I've hit yet.
Awesome ride
Youre pushing 200k!! congrats Bryan!
Was the other rider riding a hard tail I see 🤔 hmmmm he sure was killing it on the trails! Everyone cheers 🍻 for the Hard tail 👍💪🏋️♀️🚴♀️😊😁 😂 LOL 😆
Great looking trail system! I wish some of the trails here in the CO Springs area were marked that well.
Just about to tee off.....in the background "Hell Yeah!!!"
HOME TOWN VIDEO! WOOO!
NTN South trails woot! I must move there, Marquette is such a liable awesome city.
I just love these videos man!!!
I'll see you on the trail!! Ohhhh :))))
Nice nuggets, you hit up all the golden nuggets along the superior shore. 3 fantastic areas to ride. On my bucket list all with in 11 hours drive of me. Planning a father son trip, once the little guy gets a bit more comfortable in his MTB
Hahaha the golden nuggets!
Amazing video Brian.
Chunk and thunder. Rolling chunk that rumbles.
Hardtails are so much fun on stuff like that? Great looking trails!
Sweet, I've been to Marquette. I had no idea where to ride. We rode around the beach of lake Superior in town I think. Wish I had known
I was really hoping to see Scary Trail! I need to get back to that area ASAP
You seem to be doing a lot better on the jumps. Nice job! I've been working on mine the last few months and trying to leave the take off with the bike unweighted has helped me a ton.
Tiny steps, but definitely feeling stronger! I can't think of a local spot near me that has jumps like this to practice on
Sweet video. I have a couple of projects for work scheduled for the Marquette area this coming year. Two trips of a week or two each. Definitely taking the bike.
Nice!
carp liam is the man. one of the best dudes to ride with.
How did I miss the U.P. stuff? So surreal.
Michigan is land of the hardtail. Just gotta send it
that was the most gnar ive ever seen
You should stop at munising and ride the trails at hillside or valley spur
Great vid love ur vids
Looks like the same Chunder I've been riding for the past week! Been doing it on a hard tail also, Liam, so I feel your pain! lol
Chunder muffin is a death trap in the wet lol.
I'm glad you enjoyed the South Trails! If you ever make it back to Marquette, you need to ride the Harlow Lake trails. They are my favorite trails in the Marquette area. Tons of tech and they feel a little more "out there". Bareback has to be one of my favorite trails of all time. The decent down the rock spine is just too cool!
Bareback and McLovin! And then there's all the newer stuff off forestville.
Nice!! Always want more
Great rocky tech. Seriously appreciate the hardtail/jackhammer riders. We ride Ragleys and flats in the chunk of the Northwest Arkansas, Southern Missouri Ozarks. It'll teach one how to truly love and respect their rear tire. Oh...and forget the Shwalbes. You'll shred em like Kleenex.
Chunder Muffin is the Chunderiest
...no 'outro'..see ya on the trails?...maybe too many Chunder Muffins,he couldn't say it?.lol....so BK won't be seeing us on the trails anymore??...is this the end???....mtb will never be the same!!.........
Whoa...Chunder Muffin
Chunder Muffin is a ball-buster!
Come to Cannock chase in England 🏴
It's amazing 🌲 🚲
I'll be there in a few weeks bro depending on the weather, I live in Crewe.
Cool place.
Jumping skills aren't lookin to shabby
Dang missed you by a few days!! Would have been sweet to shred with one of my favorite youtubers. Come back again next time and come ride Harlow Lake which is just a few minutes outside of Marquette! Also, send Seth and Alex here for some proper jumping action!
I've heard good things!
long live the HT!!! lol
I'm no expert but from looks of it I think that you made real jump progress here.
Definitely!
Man those trails were nice! One thing I can say is that your Rallon rides very quiet 98% of the time. I like that! I'm not a fan of noisy bikes and hubs (e.g. i9). my next hub will definitely be the Onyx or the new XTR group with their silent hub. Thanks for the Chunder! Reminds me of my New England riding days!
Agreed on the hubs. A big thumbs up for the Onyx. I love it!
I definitely love a quiet bike
If you happen to be passing by sometime, check out Brown County in Indiana. It is *not* what you expect Indiana trails to be like!
I've heard great things about it but my route didn't quite take me there this time!
Man that chunder muffin ant nufin when I get my 99.00 Walmart mountain bike on the trail... I challenge Liam to a bike off ... That's rite I said it.....but I really didn't mean it.. 😃.... Enjoyed your video, keep up the fun work.
Right in my backyard
Brian’s haha translation- I just did something stupid. 😂
Good times. Chunky
He was on a hardtail and he was giving you the business lol let go hardtail nation lol
grate stuff Brian Liam was flying with the hard tail my Sister kid he ride hard tail with me, wee going up a Mountain tomorrow with him that will bee fun hope the weather hold up lol did you get a muffin lol ;0) thumbs up
Howdy Brian I’m fresh from London and actually in Moab until next Tuesday it would be mad to bump into you while I’m here ! I’m doing W.E Friday it’s open all the way!!
That's awesome, Mitch!! Give it the beans!
Properly named... that loose steep chunk looked heinous!
A few years back I was in that area to visit friends & took my cross bike. I rode some of the trails up there until I had the shit scared out of me by a mama bear & her cubs. Didn't have the balls to continue riding a bike in the woods :D I stuck to a 4-wheeler for the rest of my visit.
Hahaha nice!
You forgot your sign off! Lol. It's too bad you didn't have time to hit more. I know I'm headed back there next week. Still can't believe I just missed you last time.
Man it would have been neat to meet you on the trail! Gotta introduce yourself as RedWinds-44 though!
@@bkxc you know I always do! Lol
Looks like a fun trail to practice your skills on! But maybe I'm just a masochist looking for some techy gnarrr :D
Haha I love it!
I'm digging your jump progression.
Are you using Window cleaner for wipedown?
Brian's Generic Ass Cleaner™
Just Dawn dishwashing liquid with some water!
Wow that was abrupt!! Where was the sign off?, no catch phrase? 😭
Was thinkin the same thing lol
BK thought you were going to "send" the last one...
Nice video , do you use clips or flats pedals?
The Benson grade will burn you up third or fourth time up, but who can resist another quick run?!
You saw my comments on your Patreon... This place is a 'muffin-chundering' experience from what I see. Is called 'Necronomicon' btw... hehe
Hahaha
Brian needs to come back and do the Marji Gesick
Haha, so many people want me to do that race!
@@bkxc I just finished the Marji half (~62 miles). You should do it.
Are you ever going to head over to Ohio.A friend of mine emailed you in last summer
Hey Brian,
I'm planning a trip to Spain in November, not a biking trip but i'd sure love to get a couple rides in throughout those 2 weeks!
Any suggestions for spots (ideally in the south) where we could rent a bike and go out on some short 1/2 day rides?
Any lift accessed bike parks except Sierra Nevada?
Looking for spots near Malaga or Grenada!!
Thanks for the help and keep shredding!
Never been to the south of Spain!
Big question here as a Chicagoan deciding which to ride if I only have 1 day....copper harbor, or *Marquette If I’m looking for jumps and gnar?
Great video Brian!
Copper harbor is in Michigan. Marquette has free ride trails built around jumps/gaps/drops you name it. Copper harbor has a few jumpy trails as well. Hard to pick between the two.
If you're going up on the weekend its hard to beat copper harbors shuttle. Flying Squirrel and Daminals have super fun jumps. Otherwise if your not able to self shuttle there check out Marquette, great jumps to be had on a quick pedal up Benson grade. Check out Hardtail Pride, and Eh Line.
Marquette is closer to Chicago and has everything you're looking for. Copper harbor is legit too but you can't go wrong with Marquette and will save a few hours for just a one day trip.
If you're looking for jumps and gnar go to Spirit Mountain/Duluth, Minnesota. I've ridden Coppar Harbor, and Houghton in the U.P. and while there is some rough sections, it pales in comparison to Duluth. If you want a solid pucker factor ride Calculated Risk; it starts with a fast flow section (step ups, doubles, really well built berms) and goes into a sandstone slab that ends with a 4' drop, and into a couple (2-3) sustained rock gardens. Wrecking ball to blaster to smorgasborg is a good time with plenty of rock.
I vote Copper Harbor!
How long has it taken you to get used too a 29er?
Also did you bring your full face for this one man?!?! Super gnarly!
Didn't take me any time to get used to the 29er! Didn't wear the full face on this one.
Those trails look way better than copper mountain
What kind of liquid you spraying?😀
@singletracksampler better not ride past the golf course
Hahaha yep
Whats in the spray bottle in the beginning?
Dawn dish soap
Have someone film you while you do jumps really helps
I thought Brian said he was fully stoked, head to toe!
@BKXC I've had a vision for some time now of Blake Samson (GMBN) coming to Marquette for primo winter fatbiking. Groomed trails on fat tire collab with Brian?
That'd be rad!
What are you cleaning your bike with windex
Douglas Reed : I asked this before...he uses dawn+water
Hey Brian! Do you do color correction or is the video straight from the camera?
I try to make white look white and green look green if that's what you mean by color correction, otherwise no idea what I'm doing
Haha. Gotcha man. I just recently purchased a camera and will be starting s channel soon. Was just wondering how you get such great color. Must be all in your camera settings.
The best trails in Michigan are out near Sugandeese
Sugandeese balls
Lmao
